I am now 3 months postpartum and still successfully breastfeeding! All because of the help I…read morereceived at New Mother New Baby in the first few weeks after bringing my son home. I worked with Gail and I owe all my success to her! Walking into the office I immediately felt at home. Through the entire process she made both me and my husband feel comfortable. There was zero judgment. She listened to our concerns, worked with us to come up with a plan and taught us how to execute said plan with complete grace. She gave us tips and tricks in which I have continued to use each and every time I nurse my baby. Things I never would have known or tried if it weren't for her Knowledge. All of this.. and so much more in just two appointments with Gail. New Mother New Baby 10/10 would recommend.

I felt super isolated and lonely in motherhood (my mom, and MIL completely hands off and not helpful in the advice department) and I just felt utterly lost in being a new mother. As many new mothers do. I just didn't feel comfortable scouring the internet for answers. The new mom's class was super awesome! I learned so much and got to meet new moms just like me. I also was able to breast feed my son for 9 months (while working) Everyone is so kind, patient, and knowledgeable there. Gail and her staff care so much for the moms and families they impact everyday. Thank you!!

I just want to start off by saying I am so happy to have had Robin for the birth of both of my…read morechildren. She has the most calming presence and made the experiences the best that they could be. I am so honored that she shared the experience with my husband and I and wish I could just sing her praises all day long, but I will try to offer some helpful information too! I took her hypnobirthing class before the birth of my son. At the time I wasn't sure if I would use a doula but was sure about wanting to try a water birth along with hypnobirthing. Robin's class made me feel very comfortable and it was a nice size and a mix of new parents and second time or vbac parents. It was a good chance to practice and to really talk through the entire experience. She gave out recommendations for different things to help with pregnancy and birth but was never pushy or judgmental about using them. It was about doing what we thought would be best for us. There was homework and preparation, but I found that helpful since this is such a new experience to go through. Before the class was over we decided to have her be our doula and that was the best decision we have ever made. She was so supportive and was on board to whatever we wanted to do. Also, if I was embarrassed about call my midwife about something I would ask Robin who also responded to me so quickly. The birth of my son was different than my original plan, but she still helped to make it the best experience possible. My husband was so helpful to have her and later said to me that we would definitely use her when we eventually had our next child! When I did get pregnant with my second child I used Robin again and she was still above and beyond amazing! Plus, she offers post partum help, as she did with my son, and was still so quick with her responses. I had my perfect birth with my second and that is largely in part to the partnership that Robin and I had during my pregnancy and labor. Robin was meant to do this and you will be extremely happy to either take her class or to use her as your doula!

She was there for me, my son, and my husband before, during, and after birth. Having her as part of my birth story will be something I'm forever grateful for and if I'm blessed enough to have another child, I'll want her on my team again. Ps: She offered to snap photos of when I gave birth, capturing moments I would never have had without her. What a gift.

From the first night Martha came, I felt immediately at ease. She helped me transition into becoming a new mom and provided advice, as much support as I could want, and organized so much of my home. 2-3 nights and mornings a week of support for the first 3-4 months made all the difference between struggling and thriving during my postpartum period. She also has put in so much effort to make sure my daughter is sleeping well for when I go back to work - checking in even on her off days. We are going to miss her presence in our home immensely and hope to need her again in the future.

I never thought that I would have care for my newborn or that that would be something that I would need. I reluctantly agreed to have Martha come for one evening and see how I felt, and my journey to motherhood has never been the same since. Martha, Shirley, peace, amma, Doreen and Esther all took care of my daughter, with the love that a parent would have for their own child. In addition to this, they taught me so much! They helped me with learning how to properly feed my daughter, how much food she needed, talk to me through some of my health anxieties, helped me enhance my daughter's development, and worked with my daughter to become a great sleeper. All of this while I was able to get good rest and be a better mom. I am eternally thankful for Martha and her team and if we are lucky enough to have another child, they will be my first call. If I could give one piece of advice to any new parents it would be to use Chicago Newborn Care.
