I called to see if they had any availability and spoke to Dr Sheldon. I explained what happened and he said he'd make room the same day! As it turns out he got me in 4 hours before my scheduled time which was great. He took some X-rays and explained the issues I had. He took the time to go over what I needed to do to help my back. He even scheduled a second follow up visit the same day. The adjustment hurt but felt good at the same time. Awesome experience and a great doctor with a family atmosphere and friendly staff. I highly recommend Dr Sheldon if you're in Cedar City and need a Chiropractor.

There are a number of chiros in Cedar City and some seem to have a bunch of good reviews on those random, rate-your-doctor websites that no one uses and they're all written in the same tone. (I'm a writer and that seemed suspicious to me). I took a chance and called. I explained to the friendly, helpful woman who answered the phone that I am under a chiropractor's care and just need an adjustment. She was knowledgeable, empowered (no, "let me check with the doctor and get back to you") and they had an appointment available in less than two hours from when I called. The address is wrong on Yelp. It's at 555 S. Sunset Dr. now. I tried to correct it, we'll see if it takes. The office is warm and light, there are two aquariums which are kind of relaxing. Dr. Tyler was friendly, jovial, warm and thorough. The cool thing about this office is you tell them what works for you, not like some chiropractors who will try to convince you that what you need is what they sell/do. I like deep, thorough hands-on work which is what I got. If you want gentle, they have that too. I felt SO much better when I walked out (headache gone in time for lunch!). I'm glad I went to Dr. Tyler and will likely be back before we leave Cedar City! Thanks Dr. Tyler!

I'm pregnant so this is not uncommon. On his behalf I think he did what he could or what he knew he is trained to do. I left with my hip still feeling out of place. If I rated him off of yesterdays experience it would be a 2 stars. With that said, I think if you are looking for a regular adjustment, he can do it. I highly recommend Russel if you are looking for someone to loan money to and not have them pay you…read moreback. 23 years ago, after Russel worked as a male nurse and then went on disability, he decided to write a book on video games and started a newsletter that only put out a few issues before receiving a cease and desist notice for copyright violation. At this point, he asked my husband, Doug, for money to help open a private practice as a chiropractor. Being his friend, neighbor, and somewhat naive, Doug didn't ask for the term of the loan in writing. When asked to be repaid after his business was successful, and told to fuck off, we both felt a little betrayed. So, if that is the kind of person you want cracking your neck and back, then I highly recommend Russel as your chiropractor of choice. $1,500 of the initial $5,000 was repaid, however, the remaining $3,500 has been accruing interest ever since. That must be why Russel is smiling so happily in his pictures, because he has no intention of repaying money lent to him by a friend.
