Me: What's a fade? Jubal: It's when the ball starts left and gently goes right and hits the fairway. Me: Wow. I have never seen that before. What kind of shaft and club head is this? Jubal. Kevin was very friendly through the whole process and a great teacher of the game. Throughout the week I would look forward to our lessons. They were always great. We started and I picked up the mechanics of the game fast with a few tweaks (many not a few) to my swing and later in the summer we went on the course. The technology they employ -- launch monitor (with all the data you could want: spin rate, launch angle, club head speed,, approach angle, etc.), and video (front and down the line with real time measurements of all relevant body angles) -- is so helpful in translating feel to what you're actually doing in the swing. And Jack is expert in focusing lessons to take you through a process that produces your best swing. My index went from 13 to 8 in the 6-7 months I've been working with Jack, and I think I can get to 5 (or better) with some work on my putting. I compress the ball better and hit more greens. They offer golf specific fitness training, golf lessons with a PGA pro, they have a sweet 10 foot simulator so you can work on your swing with video analysis. Its a great facility and the rates are super reasonable. I've worked out with both of them and they are both great! I honestly cannot say enough good things about them, and if I could give their gym 100 stars, I would. I started training with Kim 3 years ago. I set out to just do a few training sessions to get back on track as I'd always been an exerciser but had fallen off the wagon. My experience with Kim was so postive that I kept coming back. Its three years later and I'm so glad I'm still working with her and Chris. I've lost some weight, I feel a lot stronger and healthier, and I feel more balanced in my attitudes towards food and exercise. I've lost body fat without going on a crazy fad diet. I love it! I've always gotten lots of personal attention here. Both Kim and Chris have extensive knowledge of physiology and continue to study. They are always taking classes and attending seminars so I know I'm in good hands. I've gotten the most comprehensive workouts here - strength, balance, flexibility, power, stamina... They aren't in to trends or fads. If I mention a fad diet to Kim, she has usually already studied it and can site scientific journals that refute the claims of that diet. Apparently they are renovating or something, but how fucking dare you charge $25 an hour for this bs. There was absolutely zero staff and no ac in a tight room with people sweating. Not to mention that on my driver I hit the ac piping (that wasn't being used) three times at the top of my swing. I don't mind them having this as a solution for the mean time, but I much rather would have gone to Wired or the driving range if I knew that this was the facility. Acknowledge the fact that your facility is under construction and put a notice that all the fancy photos on your website are not what you're getting in person.

All you need is a wedge and putter. Only $3 during the week and $4 off peak. 25c to rent a club. The course itself is set in a park (Hornby Park). As a result there are people walking around and picnicking around the holes. It is not a place for the serious golfer, but a great place to take kids to get them started. Quite challenging as the greens are only about 10ft wide. There is rarely someone working here, so most of the time it will be free to play.
