Was referred by cardiologist. Tried to make appointment on their website. Wasted 25 minute trying, however, their website did not allow scheduling at a local location. Total junk show site. Called, sat on hold for 20 minutes, scheduled an appointment, and was quoted a price that was twice what I was told it would cost. Went with it anyway. Then the morning of my appointment (as I was leaving) got a phone message letting me know that my appointment had been cancelled because "the tech called in sick." Attempted to reschedule on their website, still no luck. Asked Dr. to send me to another place and only after that did Simon reach out and say I had been quoted the wrong price. My Doctor ordered a preventive CT scan. They called me every other day and left messages for 2 weeks to make my appointment. I was in Hawaii on vacation, so pretty annoying. I made an appointment. for a week later. While driving to their office the day of (8:30am) they call me just 30 MINS BEFORE my appointment, and CANCELLED my appointment because their CT machine broke. I had to call in later and wait on hold to reschedule for one week later. Today a week later just 15 minutes before my arrival time THEY CANCELED MY APPOINTMENT AGAIN (8:30am) because they had no tech to run the machine. This is a terrible way to run a business and doesn't instill any confidence. read more

I had a CT heart scan completed at this location. The people were friendly and the scan was very efficiently done within less than 10 minutes. I was told the report would be sent to my cardiologist that afternoon. However, I had checked the box on the intake form to have the report sent to me and was told it would be mailed to me, as they do not email such reports. After three weeks, including leaving a message asking about this report, I still have not heard back from anyone or received anything in the mail. Only after I found the chat feature on their website did I learn that I could look for the report through their online portal. I was able to view and download the report after that. An email or call informing me about this would have been appreciated and eased my worry about having a heart condition. read more

HORRIBLE service! Had appointment and showed up 15 minutes early. Waited in lobby for 45 minutes without being informed they had technical issues. Gave them a second opportunity to make it right. Showed up on time and waited 40 minutes after my appointment to be called back. Front office should inform and update patient on wait times. If you value your time avoid this place!! read more

They said it would only take a few days to get the imaging to my referral doctor but after two weeks and nothing was sent I had to call to get them to send them to the doctors office! It was hard to contact them via phone so I physically had to go to the imaging place and ask them to send the records! They said nothing was found on the imaging but that isn't true so not sure if the doctors there really know what's they are talking about read more

Overall clinic was clean and well maintained but was very irritated when asked to pay for the service up front when I have a PPO and know full and well that they always bill my insurance. So since I did not have a choice I did pay the $1400+ amount and just called my insurance and they said they paid the bill and Simon Med should have refunded it to me. OF COURSE THEY DID NOT! I am on hold with them right now - definitely a call center outside US and they are processing return to my card. What a SCAM! If I had not called they would have been double paid and never thought twice about it. Everyone make sure you do not get scammed by them. Will NEVER go to this place again! read more

My daughter needed an MRI w/contrast for a sports related injury. We traveled to this location because it was soonest available. Office staff was friendly. But, they tried to charge me $300 more than her PT estimated. But, they had no problem adjusting the price. Thought that was a bit questionable, but moving on. We got there at 10 and not seen until 11:00. Injection Dr and nurse were good. Explained everything. After being injected we waited another 35-40 min. The tech did share they were waiting for a machine to open up, then it would have to be cleaned. read more

Terribly managed business. Waited 1 hour for my appointment while the techno went out for lunch. In addition, online form was not found.

Worthless. After my X-rays were taken, they said they would send the films to the doctor who ordered the X-rays. They did not. My followup appointments was a 5 hour waste of time because SimonMed failed to deliver the X-rays, breached the contract, was negligent, and committed medical malpractice. SimonMed has refused and continues to refuse to deliver the films or take any action whatsoever to rectify their mistake. They refuse to return my calls and expect me to spend my time rectifying their mistake. Don't use SimonMed!!!! A complete waste of time. And now, AFTER this review, Lindsey and SimonMed wants me to contact them....AFTER I called yesterday with no results, and AFTER I spent an hour on the phone with several people, including Lulu M, who repeatedly told me that it's my problem and that I would have to come get the films, take them to why NueroSurgeon, schedule another appointment. SimonMed has my telephone number. Did Lindsey call me? NO!.......Lindsey's post is just a self-serving post by SimonMed. Stay away if you can! They gave me an absolute run-around for an ultrasound and I ended up paying cash for it because they said I would not be able to get my scan if I did not (I was already at the appt and had taken time off work, was told on the phone they authorized my insurance and then the receptionist told me that they did not). Years later, I scheduled my appt for an MRI weeks in advanced for them to call me a few days ahead of time and tell me they did not have any of my insurance information even though you cannot make an appt without them verifying your insurance. Then was told somehow someone made a second account for me in their system and they were looking at the wrong account and they DID have my insurance but they had already cancelled my appts. Supervisor was able to give me back my appts but said my insurance had not authorized for the MRI. My insurance company was never contacted by Simon Med, they were just trying to get my to pay cash for my MRI. I was told that I would have to pay cash to keep my appt. Finally disputed the insurance issue after talking to multiple supervisors who all told me different things. I got a call the morning of my appt to say they actually had to cancel because their machine was broken. I do not believe anything they say and will not be ever giving them my business. read more

This place is clean and spacious. My appointment was on time. The staff was polite and efficient.

Difficult to make appt., have to go through outsourced call center and can't speak with direct location. Been waiting in lobby for two hours!! Still not called back. We will see how MRI of brain for my daughter goes if we ever get called back for the scan. Maybe I will permanently become a part of this chair all day! Grrrrrrrr read more

Horrible and I mean Horrible service. I had to call and make an appointment and the person Ivan was extremely rude. First it took him over 5 minutes just to be able to write down my name and information, then he started to give me an attitude because I had already been told the price and he wanted to charge an extra $200 for a basic xray. After reading all the reviews about how they try and charge you extra I would advise finding another facility. i'm sure its only a matter of time before all insurance companies black ball them for this. read more

I was referred to Simon med by my rheumatologist. She wanted to get a an MRI of my lumbar spine and insurance was being difficult about pre-authorizing it so I decided to pay out of pocket as their prices are reasonable. Ask other schedule the appointment for a Monday in the afternoon. I show up and see there's two people ahead of me. After being told it would be at least a 45 minute wait I decided to reschedule. Since I was an out-of-pocket patient I had already paid when I first arrived and before I decided to leave. They asked me if I wanted the money refunded to my HSA card and I said no just hold onto it for my appointment on Thursday. She said OK and I left. I came back on Thursday, they were running on time, they tried to collect payment again, I told him I had already paid and they said OK. Then about two weeks later I got a bill. When I called the hold times were long so I chose the option to have them call me back. They called me back and had a whole story about how the payment was taken but not applied to my bill. And I was like what the fuck does that do for me? She then slipped up and said it happens all the time! I was like what? And then she tried to walk it back. I got a transaction number for the phone call and I got the name of the woman that I spoke to. We will see if I receive another bill from them. In the future I will not go back here. read more

their dysfunctional web site directed us to an orange county imaging center for our ct exam and ignored their center 5 miles away in encinitas. also, on a repeat try, we couldn't populate their desired medicare information. this imaging chain is still having operational problems. perhaps they should retreat to phoenix and get their act together. we will try to do a walk on since we can't schedule anything on their impossible web site! joyce read more

My Mom had an MRI this week and due to Covid she has been waiting quite some time. She was extremely nervous about the MRI. She told me the MRI female tech Christy was patient and talked her through the exam. She offered her a face covering that really helped her take her mind off her claustrophobia. The front desk staff was very welcoming, large waiting area, and beautiful location. Simon Med Encinitas is a great place if you need an MRI! read more

I don't know the first thing about an MRI but my highly rated surgeon that will be operating on knee sure does and he said the imaging done by SimonMed Imaging was as good as it gets. "Clean beautiful imaging" he said, which is what I like to hear as he's telling me about my upcoming procedure. As for my experience getting the MRI, I met with their professional and personable staff, the facilities were clean and new, and the time I spent there was very efficient, no waiting around like other medical offices. I hope you don't need a MRI but if you do, I recommend SimonMed off of El Camino Real in Encinitas. read more
