The facility itself is dirty, and the customer service was awful. Have had an awful experience with SimonMed in general and will never use them. I drove to 4 different locations all around Phoenix trying to get an x-ray because they only do them on a walk in basis. Each location sent me to a different location. Their site showing wait times was inaccurate. When I called, it went to a general number rather than the location number and the information they provided was also inaccurate. Each person I encountered at all 4 locations was so unkind and unhelpful. I asked if they could call the actual location they were sending me to to verify I could actually get in because I had already spent an hour driving, and they would not. Go with SMIL or literally any other imaging company, if you can. read more

These people are so incompetent it's actually comical. Front desk has no idea what they're doing. They look like unqualified teenagers running the show. My doctor only sends their patients to SimonMed and even has a rep with the company. I told the front desk that (along with the paper my doctor filled out for them) but they "couldn't find anything for that doctor." I had to call my doctor to have them speak with the front desk and spell out what to do. My doctor repeated what I had told them and she goes "oh I didn't know you have an account here." Like??? Yes you do, I just told you that. To top it off the guy next to me also was having issues with the front desk so we both were irritated while trying to get checked in. I didn't have another option on where to go, but if you do please go anywhere else. PS: X-ray patients aren't able to make appointments and is walk in only so you might be sitting and waiting for awhile. SimonMed is a financial grist mill posing as an Imaging office. Vote with your wallet and boycott SimonMed Imaging. SimonMed's corporate structure encourages the maltreatment of patients. SimonMed outsources its call center overseas where English is so foreign there is no effective communication. Numerous calls and personal attempts to rectify billing errors will have no resolution. Dealing with SimonMed is akin to dealing with thief in a dark alley. Don't let their corporate office facade fool you. It's buyer beware. I've been here a few times now and it's hit or miss. I have no complaints at all about any of the employees. They've always been professional & are just doing the best they can with what they've got to work with. The first time I went it took forever! They even told me I was not in the schedule system. I showed them the confirmation email or text I had at the time as proof so somehow they fit me in. I had a mammogram scheduled and an xray. I was waiting in a tiny gown for quite some time just to get my xray. It was quite uncomfortable waiting in a medical place that gets easily cold if you're not properly dressed. I'd say I waited at least 40-50min by the way in my gown. The 2nd time I went, it was smooth sailing. Unfortunately I drive quite a ways just to get here but it's the closest one to me so what choice do I have. read more

I went in to the Biltmore location @ the fashion park mall for an mri with & without contrast. the tech did not hook me up to the iv before running the test without contrast, so he had to slide me out to put the iv in. I must've moved slightly while he pulled me out, so it eliminated the accuracy of the contrasting dye part of the test. Every other place I've been to has hooked me up to the iv before sliding me in the 1st time to mitigate the chance of movement between tests. So, now I have incomplete test results for a critical medical concern. Thanks so much! read more

RE: MRI @ SimonMed at 2502 E Camelback Rd. #160 & #167, Phoenix, AZ 85016; What a horrible experience! I waited 40 minutes for my scheduled appointment! This was my 3rd appointment because I had two cancelations due to SimonMed incompetence. I believe my cancelations were due to inconveniencing the staff with the times I chose (Sat @ 3PM and Wed @ 7PM). This company outsources their "Customer Service" to India so be prepared for heavy accents and being put on hold after waiting for a human interaction! Once I was finally seen by a Technician, she was in a big hurry! So now they are in a hurry?!?! This was a very disappointing experience and yet another example of the employees thinking they are more important than the clients that actually pay them! Also, it's about time people that are late for their appointments are re-scheduled thus eliminating the go to excuse for clinic mismanagement and staff ineptitude! read more

Had an 11am appointment and the clinic called at 10:50 to ask me to come two hours later due to being behind. I showed up at 1 as requested and they asked me to come back at 3. Despite the low ratings still gave them a chance at my doctors recommendation and because it was very close to where I live. I have yet to be seen for my actual appt because they've had issues every single time I've gotten to my appts. First time I never received a call and walked into my appt only to be told my appt got cancelled due to an issue with my insurance. Would've been nice to get a call at least 24 hours before I walked through the doors but whatever. Called my insurance got the approval that was apparently necessary to get beforehand. This takes 1.5 months. Ok so we're good now right? Re-schedule and again and unfortunately the MRI machine breaks down same day and I have to reschedule my appt AGAIN! I can't just reschedule whenever I want. I travel and work and have plans for months in advance. How in the world am I supposed to get seen at this imaging facility with all of these issues. It's crazy. Might update if I ever get seen but for now going back to my doctor to see if they have other recommendations for imaging. read more

This was the worst Simon Med I've ever been to, my daughter had an 10:15am appointment and she was told when we arrived that the Tech was behind and the wait would be between an hour to hour and 45min, my daughter did not get called in for her MRI until 12:22pm, we would have left and rescheduled but my daughter had already put testing off a couple of times, this office needs to work on getting more than 1 Technician first and foremost that can do MRI's because it is 1 man doing them and plenty of people waiting for procedure, it's stressful to make people wait that long, why can't you call patients who are scheduled for an MRI to let them know you're running behind and give them the opportunity to choose if they want to wait until Jesus comes! read more

This is the worst place I have ever been in my life. For this to be a medical facility is actually sort of scary. The front desk staff has absolutely no idea what they're doing. I came in for an x-ray when I had a broken clavicle and was told the wait was 30 minutes so after waiting 30 minutes then I was told the way it was probably going to be three hours. I was told to go to the Scottsdale Fashion Square location and when I got there that location was not doing x-rays. The next morning I went back to the Biltmore location. I waited about 45 minutes and went in for my x-ray. The front desk clerk did not write in my chart that a clavicle x-ray was supposed to be done, so the technician only did the shoulder. Luckily the technician knew what she was doing and caught the error before I actually left the building. Will never go back to a SimonMed location again. read more

i had a screening appt at 3:15 for a screening and they informed me when I arrived that they'd moved my appt earlier in the day (unbeknownst to me). I spent hours with four failed attempts to correct issues over the phone by talking to their centralized and outsourced billing department. Went the the fashion square location yesterday, and 20 minutes into my mri the machine broke. Rescheduled at the biltmore location for the next day at 3:30. Showed up at 3:15 as I was supposed to and was told to come back in an hour because they had problems with the machine and the tech was now running behind. Well it's 4:45 and was just told I probably won't be called back for another 30 minutes. I understand problems with equipment but maybe call and let people know if there is going to be a significant delay to their appointment time especially in the middle of a work day. Yikes. I had a doctor ordered X-Ray for my foot. I was told to call to schedule from my doctor. I called to schedule- was told I did not need an appointment could just walk in. I asked if I could schedule an appointment that way I didn't have to wait was told no just walk in. Here we are, I am currently sitting in the waiting room (with 15 other people) where I was told the wait would be an hour. Update: filed a complaint with the BBB. Waiting for it to be resolved. They responded with the note that they looked into it and apologize for the inconvenience. Now waiting for a refund. What an ordeal. Will never go back. The overall scans and technicians were great. The people were friendly and my services were on time. This review is about their shady billing practices. I went in on the day of my service and asked for the cash price versus running it through insurance. The cash price was over $100 less, so I PAID THE CASH PRICE. Then THEY made the mistake and ran it through my insurance anyway. Now they are trying to bill me the difference saying it is now the patient responsibility. I have been to this office multiple times for exams. The staff is not courteous not friendly. I arrived today at 3:30 to get one neck x-ray and they declined me service because they said there was a lady with multiple x-rays. I left work 45 minutes early to get in line to have an x-ray. There was no one in the waiting room. They said that the x-ray tech couldn't take me because she had multiple x-rays with one patient. Like I said before I had one x-ray to take. They were rude very condescending. I do not recommend this place and it's dirty. And to top it off the place does not close for x-rays until 430. I'm am currently writing this as I sit here waiting to be called back. I got a call from Cheyenne saying to come in early for my appt and they would get me in ahead of schedule. So far I've been sitting here for well over an hour. So much for being early and her only response was sorry for the confusion. I'm not confused I came in early because you left me a message to come in early. They have also told others to come in early only to tell them that they are now running behind. They told a patient she couldn't get her disc today due to the tech being behind, but she could drive 30 mins again and come back tomorrow. The next patient who came in wanted to know if she would get her disc today because they were running behind they said yes right after she was done with her scans. A woman from the back yelled to the front to make sure an appointment was canceled the front office girl said "yes of course I did" then proceeded to call the patient and cancel his appointment. The miscommunication in this place is unbelievable. Once I got in the back again zero communication from Megan the tec thank god I've had scans done before. What a nightmare this would have been if I had never had an MRI. I did have a question for her and she was very dismissive about my question. I should have known, I guess I'll just google it and ask my doctor. Look I work in the health field I know what it's like seeing patients back to back to back and to run behind but this is unacceptable. I read every review that has been left (because I had so much time) and I agree with all of them DO NOT COME HERE unless you have all the time in the world to wait and don't care about communication. If I could leave zero stars I would. I was referred by my doctor due to his machine being down never again will I come to any Simon med. Seven months later and this location still owes me over $250. They over billed and overcharged me for several mri's and acknowledged this many times, but have yet to refund my money. I have notified my insurance company of insurance fraud and still nothing has been done. I have gone back and forth on the phone with them for months with different departments, with emails, sent in my own Insurance EOB's which they already have. Refund my money. How sad. They have the worst customer service set up with 30 to 45 minute hold times on the phone and then the information they gave on two separate occasions was wrong and even gave me numbers that circled back to where I started with the first question. But far worse is that I can't access my records, and I have serious doubts about their quality, based on poor report quality seen on my husbands scans. My husband never even received his kidney ultrasound results (nor did his provider). SimonMed screwed up my online account, and no one is either capable or cares enough to fix it. I have received a diagnosis from imaging/data that I can't access. I've spent hours with SimonMed online and been told 4 different reasons for the problem, but no solution. I even received a phone number to call for assistance - too bad it had been disconnected. Mediocre would be a major step up for this place. read more

I had already waited fruitlessly for almost three hours at one of the Mesa locations on Saturday, so I asked "Are you sure it will really be 30 minutes?" "Yes." I came back in 25 minutes. What a joke. I arrived from my physician's office for a walk in Xray. After standing in a line with no directions I was told that the technician had stopped taking X-rays for today. I asked if I could make an appointment so that this didn't happen again. Yes, but it doesn't guarantee that I will be seen at the reserved time because they take walk ins. Really. Geez, if maybe the gal at the desk had looked up when I walked in and asked if I was here for a walk in I could have skipped 10 minutes in a line. And, if she would have apologized for the wait and for not being able to take my X-ray at 3 in the afternoon. I wish I could walk out of work before 3pm. A single star is generous. I am a healthcare provider, and this diagnostic facility is a terrible extension and representation of a medical community that must be founded on professional responsibility, knowledge accountability, concern, and empathy. The front desk staff member was rude, disconnected, and made no attempt to perform any task, or service for that matter, beyond her computer work, scanning, and COVID-19 questions. I am certain it is in her job description to facilitate a smooth customer experience, including answering questions and providing guidance (or finding answers), as necessary. She did not fulfill any of these simple expectations, for me or for most of the other customers who were waiting. Although the exam tech was reasonably pleasant, none of the other five staff members I encountered in passing said hello or smiled. I understand that the facility encounter is acute and fleeting, but you are not a mini-mart. These are not customers at a gas station or car wash. These are people. These are YOUR PATIENTS. You are providing a service to them (and a critical one at that), not the other way around. No one goes to a diagnostic center because they are well and, certainly, there is significant anxiety in some cases. Your service and staff behavior should reflect this. A major shift in your facility culture is severely warranted. read more
