We were aware of the change in ownership but undertood the original team was doing the physical work. I wish I did more research on the new owner. Pete was never clear about costs or process. He showed up with a truck of pavers before we committed to a style. He brought on a landscape architect without giving her our budget so we paid for designs that we would never have gone with. He seemed to have another bigger project going on at the same time so would text us the mornings his team would come over to work. He was good about cashing our checks within 24 hours. It took 2 years to complete this project (starting June 2019 and ending June 2021). We spent over $35k in 2019 and couldnt even buy outdoor furniture to enjoy our new patio during the 2020 lockdown because of the poor sanding job. The sand stayed soft and lead to uneven pavers that became a trip hazard in less than 1 year. We considering paying another team to fix the job but the $8k quote made us continue with Limbach (since this was in their 1-year warranty window). By the time Limbach's crew came back to re-sand in June 2021, they had to re-level all the pavers and ended up cracking a few along the way. Now we have mismatched pavers in some areas. The new sand is sparse or completely missing between the perimeter pavers of our patio. The new sand they put down is only two weeks old yet I've reached out about a wobbly paver that they refuse to come back to fix. This was part of their warranty so they didn't get paid and rushed through the job. I supposed they got it to an "acceptable" standard but I have a toddler who will injure himself on this "new" patio so will be going with another company to fix. I don't want to completely knock a small business but wouldn't recommend this team for custom hardscaping. If you are in the bidding process and want to consider a couple teams, I suggest starting with yard clean up or possibly landscaping to see if you are comfortable with how Pete manages the business.

I made a mistake when winterizing our system the first year and we did have a leak when the new season began. So my wife called this company to come out. We admitted fault and were willing to pay the fees to fix it. Of course Thom was upset because we didn't call him to winterize our system. All he had to do was fix the issue, we were willing to pay, and just tell us verbally the system is fixed. Instead he had a big attitude and was just real nasty to my wife which I did watch later on from my high definition cameras I have placed all around my house. I am just wondering if I was standing there if he would of been so tough like he was to my 5 foot 1 inch wife. I am about two years late on this review but I just caught up. Sofie M, should just shut up honestly and not write fake reviews. Either she is Thom's wife or his side piece. I am not trying to make Thom go out of business here by any means, but in the future you shouldn't talk down to customers that are willing to pay, especially women that our trying to handle the business on their own.

Initial phone…read morecall went fine, however I told Jared that we wanted a mow every second week and the lawn cut short and yet guys came every week and cut the grass slightly leaving it long. My son refused to practice soccer in it as his foot kept catching in the grass! I called Jared again and asked him to stop by. Said he would after a 9am meeting in our area. By 2pm he still hadn't made it over and I had to run out, got his voice mail and left message. He never returned my call. The third week the guys came I went outside to explain what we wanted. First guy I approached said he didn't speak English. Second man Carlos (I think his name is) was very nice. I explained every 2nd week and short grass. I also walked with him to certain spots as we needed beds weeded and boxwood trimmed back. One area had small amount of poison ivy. Said he would come back to take care of it another day. Without a call or heads up two guys are outside a week and half later. Not Carlos as expected. When I go outside I see they didn't weed they took a hedge trimmer and cut my plants to the soil! Purple cone flowers. Shasta daisies. Spirea. Catnip. All gone!! My flowering butterfly bush cut back to about a foot and half!! I was left with dirt. Tall ornamental grasses cut down to the ground level and the kicker poison Ivy still there! Horrified I asked what they were doing and was told by both men "I don't speak English"! How does a professional business send men who don't speak the language to a home with the Mom and kids home alone as dad is working? I homeschool. With no means to communicate and late for an appt. I called Jared's phone, he answers and when I start speaking his phone disconnects (this has happened so much my husband has taken over trying to connect with him as he is appalled by the lack of professionalism and the lack of care by sending strange men to our home who can't speak English) I call again and a lady answers. I tell her what happened and that Jared needs to call these guys fast before they destroy the landscaping. I tell her to send him over there to see what they've done. They can't understand me as they don't speak English. Clearly these men are not landscapers and by the state of my bushes when I got back they don't know what trim means. Jared never showed up. Never called. Didn't return my phone calls. The guys left big weeds in beds. It sure what is going on here. Finally my husband called Jared 4 days later. Yup left message. 2 days later Jared leaves me a voice mail. 1 day later shows up here I'm unavailable at that point, my 20 yr old son Speaks with Jared. Jared still has not returned my husbands phone call. I would not recommend this company for service. I didn't feel safe having men on my property who don't speak English as I have no way to communicate with them, when they clearly had no idea what they where doing.

I have never met an owner who was so personally invested in his business and his clients. I tend to be indecisive and impulsive with my design decisions and Jarrod was so patient and kind in helping me achieve my "vision" for our backyard, even when I changed my mind multiple times. He was always very prompt in returning my calls and addressing my needs. In the past, I had my son mow the lawn for us but once he went off to college I decided to use Poggi Landscaping, and again was very satisfied. Jarrod makes you feel like your business is important to him, and that comes across in his work as well.
