I was late to the whole grad photo thing. I emailed Simone Anne about two weeks out and she was prompt and upfront in her emails. When we met in person, she put me at ease and she took stunning photos. If you doubt it, just look at her portfolio. The session took about 45 minutes. My husband and I hired Simone to shoot both engagement photos and our wedding. In short, I cannot say enough good things about working with her. We skyped ahead of time to talk about our respective visions for the day, and Simone really seemed to be interested in getting to know us. She made us immediately feel at ease, and like she really was personalizing our photos. Talking with her helped us really figure out more than photos; she even helped us figure out timelines for our wedding ceremony and reception! Simone picked the location for our engagement photos and for our pre-wedding photos and we were so incredibly impressed. On our wedding day, the formal portraits she took were absolutely incredible -- both of the people in them, and of the beautiful scenery she selected. I will say, she did all of this without being visible herself. Nobody felt like the photographer was in their way or cramping their style-- quite the opposite. Can I just say that Simone is the best??? She photographed our wedding on 5/29/16 and the package we got included an engagement shoot, so she did those too. Every photo we've gotten is spectacular; she manages to make us look so much better than we do in real life haha! All the shots are beautifully composed and masterfully edited. She was one of the most upfront people I dealt with during wedding planning which I totally appreciated. All her (very reasonable) prices are right there on her website so you can easily see what's included in each package and how much individual items are, and she provides access to tons of wedding photos she's taken so you can get a good sense of what all the different shots will look like, including family photos. It was such a breath of fresh air to have all that information on hand when making our decision, instead of having to play phone and email tag just to get an idea of pricing. She gives you full use of the files for all your photos (several hundred) so you can easily share or print them yourself, another thing that other photographers we looked at didn't always do. On top of that, she is just a dream to work with. She's super nice and funny, and did a fantastic job of corralling unruly relatives for family photos and making sure everyone was positioned just right. She and our second photographer (whose name I can't remember because I'm terrible at names, but she was awesome too) were also super flexible and rolled with our plan to do a light saber duel instead of a first dance. I can already tell by the sneak preview she provided (a mere 3 days after the wedding!) that the rest of our photos will be stunning. I stumbled upon some of Simone's photos on Pinterest when my husband (then fiancé) and I were looking for a wedding photographer for our June, 2016, wedding in Berkeley. We looked at several other photographers, but we knew that after seeing her work online, and talking with her initially, that we were going to hire Simone. Her work is really amazing, and she has done a ton of weddings of all different styles and for all kinds of different people. I was really impressed by the quality of her images and the creativity of her photos, which is evident if you look at her online portfolio of weddings, engagement photos, family photos, graduation photos, and more. Also, her pricing is very reasonable compared to other wedding photographers we looked at, and I think that for the number of photos she takes and the quality of her work, we felt confident that having her as our wedding photographer was the right choice! Engagement photos: Initially, we didn't really want to do engagement photos, but then decided about 9 months out from our wedding date that we wanted to have some quality photos of ourselves together to share with our guests on or before our wedding day. We had our engagement shoot at Point Reyes, and we almost canceled beforehand because it started pouring rain. Simone was so positive and convinced us that we might as well try to brave the rain and see if it would clear up. She was right! About 15 minutes after we pulled into the parking lot, with Simone right behind us, it cleared up, making for some beautiful lighting! Simone made our engagement shoot fun and easy - we had such a great time, and the results were just gorgeous! We were so happy to have a photographer we felt so comfortable with. We were even more excited for our wedding day photos! We also ended up ordering several canvas style prints from Simone, one of which we displayed at our wedding on the guest sign in table, and the other two we gave to our parents as gifts the day before the wedding. Wedding photos: Leading up to the wedding, Simone was so responsive to all of our questions, and helped us figure out many of the details for the day of, like where and when we were going to do our first look shots. We felt that we were in such good hands and we had no stress in regards to photos on our wedding day because Simone was so organized, easy and pleasant to work with, and had a vision for what kinds of shots we were hoping for. We also had a videographer and Simone had no problem working with him. We just got our wedding photos from her and we are SOOOOO happy with how they turned out! There are so many beautiful shots of the details of our wedding ceremony, many lovely photos of family and friends that we don't see often who were able to attend the wedding, as well as amazing shots of my husband and I, and photos with our families and our wedding party. Simone has a great camera and a skillset to be an awesome photographer. What sets her apart is her bubbly attitude that makes some clients like me who are very awkward feel super comfortable. After talking to a few wedding photographers, we decided to go with Simone because she sounded so knowledgeable, friendly, and enthusiastic. I am so happy with that decision! Simone was wonderful to work with and I would definitely use her again / highly recommend her to all my friends! We met for a couple hours in early March because I wanted to update my social media (FB/LinkedIn/Twitter) photos. While I had never done a photo shoot before, she made me feel incredibly comfortable, especially in public settings. Simone is the photographer for our upcoming wedding in April. This past weekend we met with Simone for our engagement session. We were really happy with the experience so far and decided to write a review. My initial thought on the engagement session was that we'll just use it as a way to interact with and get familiar with our wedding photographer. Given that I normally don't like pictures of myself and that neither of us had professional pictures taken of us before I wasn't expecting to feel comfortable or have fun. Simone did a really good job of turning that around. We had so much fun hanging out with her, I felt (and looked) way more comfortable than I expected. We met in downtown mountain view and Simone was prepared. She had gotten there early and scouted out some spots to start the shoot. She first took us to a side alley that was quieter and then to a more crowded coffee shop. I thought that was thoughtful. We then headed over to shoreline park, where simone had not been to recently. Just on the drive around to the parking area, she scouted out some trees and fields she liked and we were done with the photoshoot in no time. We spend less than 3 hours total in both location, we got over 250 images from Simone in less than 2 days!! (we had mentioned to her earlier that we wanted to put up pictures on the website so guest can see while they RSVP). All of the images look wonderful, she made a random alleyway look magical and she really knew how to work the light around sunset at shoreline park. Overall we're really happy with these images and can't wait for the wedding photographs! Simone is talented, professional, and a fun/upbeat personality. Simone is absolutely amazing! She did graduation photos for myself and four of my close friends around the Berkeley campus and the results were stunning! She was super easy to work with, and very friendly and put us at ease. We were all a bundle of nerves from studying for finals but she did a really good job at getting us to relax and have fun with it. We had picked the late afternoon due to our scheduling problems, which wasn't the best time for lighting, but Simone made it work really well! She knew exactly which spots were going to give good light, which ones had the right trees and flowers to match our dresses, and even picked out the most random looking spots (to our very untrained eyes) to use, and those ended up being some of the best photos of the day! Simone's definitely had experience doing graduation photos, as she knew all the right poses, cap tosses, and shots to make a truly memorable graduation photo album. We already knew Simone was a great photographer when we hired her to do our engagement photos, but WOW. We were totally blown away at how skilled and professional she is from the moment we asked her to do the photos, through the entire session, to the beautiful email with our photo gallery that she sent us way sooner than we were expecting.
