I realized I was in Heaven when I walked in the door of the Bakker just down the street from where I was staying.
The smell was intoxicating. Maybe it was whats was going on but whatever it was, it had my appetite jumping all over the place.
I ended up leaving with far to many goodies for my diet. The best item was the Chocolate Croissant. Most places can produce a decent one but here it something you would have though was touched by an Angel.
Saying that I'm referring to how much chocolate was inside. They don't skimp in it's quantity making it a perfect combination with the pastry. You get the richness and the sweetness perfectly matched..
The other goodies I took back to my apt., lasted just a little longer than the croissant.
I could have gained 20 pounds and been content.
I was sadden to find them closed on a Monday, when I had wanted to get a dozen Croissants to take home on the plane. I can't imagine why any shop like this would be closed on the first day of the work week.
Give them a try. You will be delighted. read more
