I decided to call West Valley Cycle Sales and talked to Robyne. She was very nice and accommodating! Scheduled me right away! I went for my appointment and the mechanic, Joseph, took my bike in on time and quickly got the installation completed and the cost was very reasonable. When he was done, he even took the time to let me sit on the bike so he could adjust the clutch and brake perches to exactly where I liked them. He was to have worked on the front & rear brakes. He did not touch them. I was riding home and hit the rear brske. Oh oh no brake the pedal had no pressure. Went down to the foot plate. He is the ONLY guy in LA that knows how to tune the tricky and one-year make, Honda CB1100F. Furthermore, he is the ONLY guy I will let touch my CB1100F or my CB400F. I also will not hesitate to bring in my BMW for anything. He is honest, hard working and does not beat around the bush. His shop isnt flashy, with couches and waiting rooms and the like. He just knows how to fix bikes and he does it for a better price than any I have found and best of all he is honest. If you dont need work done, he will tell you. I was out in the valley one time, I realized I was really low on oil so I swung into his shop and topped me off and refused to take money.... he's just a good guy. I hate to hear anyone say bad things about Marcelo, he is a good guy and he runs a good shop.

Do not deal with this shop…read more For a place that claims to have great communication, it's surprisingly difficult for them to clearly state a simple requirement: they won't work on your bike if the wheels are still on it you have to remove them yourself. This should have been communicated upfront, not discovered later after wasting time. Meanwhile, Cycle Gear explained everything clearly from the start with no confusion at all. I'd strongly suggest staying away from this shop unless you're prepared for poor communication and unhelpful responses. Read all reviews about this place!
