Oil leaking and check out what silicone is left.
Shauna B.

I've been meaning to write this review for some time but felt I needed to really assess the damage and full extent of it all. I took my 75' CB400four here last spring because they were recommended by a machine shop up the street that did great work, however these guys fucked up some stuff on my bike. I took it to this shop because I need to have my pistons honed out, new gaskets installed and the top end put back on. So here is what went wrong. Like let's try SILICONE for example. Wtf?! It was all over my rocker box and on the cases. When I inquired Max said talk to Mike and Mike played dumb like he didn't know what I was talking about. Well, obviously at this point I had to take my bike to another shop for further work because something seemed off with the compression, which it was, and I had a massive amount of oil leaking from my rocker box. Come to find out that they did a horrible job of what I paid them to do. So here I am out of $510 for work that isn't even worth a shit, silicone all over the place and I have to pay another shop to fix the massive leak coming from my rocker box. Still to this day I am dealing with problems caused by this shop and these guys that do not know what they are doing. I even provided them with a shop manual, gaskets, etc. Just don't even go here. These dudes suck. Don't trust them. They clearly don't care for your business or life. And the other guy who said they lied about time is spot on in his review. Same thing for me. Took twice as long. Karma guys... It's coming for you one day.

This is the shop for me! Very down to earth people!…read moreGreat customer service! I don't understand the negative reviews. I just bought a 2nd hand GS and it needed its regular service plus I just wanted it looked over before using it for long rides. I was in search for a good friendly shop to build a relationship with because I know I will need the scheduled maintenance done on my bike. I decided to call West Valley Cycle Sales and talked to Robyne. She was very nice and accommodating! Scheduled me right away! I was the first customer at their shop and Joseph took care of checking my bike. He was very thorough! He spent the time to explain and go through everything with me. Their service fee was very reasonable. Overall, great experience with this shop. They have definitely earned my business! I will be recommending them to all my BMW biker friends! Thank you, Joseph and Robyne!!!

I am very happy that I found this shop to work on my BMW R1250RT! On my first visit I met Robyne…read moreand she was super nice and scheduled the installation of my Helibars. I went for my appointment and the mechanic, Joseph, took my bike in on time and quickly got the installation completed and the cost was very reasonable. When he was done, he even took the time to let me sit on the bike so he could adjust the clutch and brake perches to exactly where I liked them. Clearly Joseph takes a lot of pride in his work and I really appreciated the care and professionalism. They were both very kind and I will be going there from now on for any maintenance or repair needs. Thanks Robyne and Joseph!

Had my bike worked on. He had no idea about things he did wrong. Had to have him redo. He was going…read moreto give money back, ha ha ha. He wanted to charge me more for fixing his mistakes. He almost got me killed by the crap he did. He said he knew it all. He over charged!!! Way over charged. I will never even think about going back to get screwed again. I called two dealers and a major bike parts house all said he did wrong. He laughed and said they didn't know what they were talking about. He even threatened me. He was to have worked on the front & rear brakes. He did not touch them. I was riding home and hit the rear brske. Oh oh no brake the pedal had no pressure. Went down to the foot plate. He put the wrong tire on the front and it caused the front end to shake violently. There's more!

I have been taking my bikes to Marcelo long since he moved from Burbank - for years…read more I own four bikes, (BMW R1150GSA, Honda XR650R, Honda CB1100F, Honda CB400F) and as you can see everything from dirt bikes, to the BMW GS to the older Honda stuff and I primarily go to Marcelo. He is the ONLY guy in LA that knows how to tune the tricky and one-year make, Honda CB1100F. Furthermore, he is the ONLY guy I will let touch my CB1100F or my CB400F. I also will not hesitate to bring in my BMW for anything. He is honest, hard working and does not beat around the bush. His shop isnt flashy, with couches and waiting rooms and the like. He just knows how to fix bikes and he does it for a better price than any I have found and best of all he is honest. If you dont need work done, he will tell you. I was out in the valley one time, I realized I was really low on oil so I swung into his shop and topped me off and refused to take money.... he's just a good guy. I hate to hear anyone say bad things about Marcelo, he is a good guy and he runs a good shop.
