Hello anyone and everyone who might own a Vintage or newer BMW motorcycle. If you need to rely on a great mechanic to take care of any issue, large or small, Matthew, the new and proud owner of Black Kat Motorwerks is undoubtably your man. Matt stepped in and took over on a previous restoration of my 1973 BMW r/65 Cafe style racer. Not only did he make everything right, and fix every issue with the bike, he was into it. He really took the bike on like it was his own. My name is Jack Lelah and through Matt's passion for what he is doing at
Black Kat Motorwerks, I feel so proud to own the finest Motorbike I have ever ridden.
I am a Woodworker by trade, amongst many other things, and in my younger days, due to the lack of funds, did my fair share of mechanical work, so I understand some of what goes into taking care of a bike like mine, but a good, kind, honest, and passionate mechanic with the knowledge to get any issue repaired, is key.
I would like to talk transmissions, and final drives. Matt has my entire unit so dialed in, there is absolutely no room for improvement. The sound and feel of shifting up or down through the gears, is amazing. I can hear and feel everything falling into place, just as it is designed to do. And the power being delivered to the rear wheel is sure and smooth.
With all the time that was lost with the previous mechanic, I was stunned with the expediency of all the mechanical, and cosmetic issues that Matt took care of for me. He actually went beyond, and took care of quite a few cosmetic issues that I'd already given up on given all the time that went by. The previous mechanic had my bike for over a year and a half. Matt had it for less than three weeks, and performed more than double the amount of work.
With all the time involved, I was without my bike for 21 months. I picked it up from Black Kat Motorwerks on the back of my truck. Days went by till I was able to take some time to go for a ride on this beautiful bike. It just so happens that on that day, I was a little tired from quite a few days of driving my trucks, and my body was sore from doing two full days of landscape work at my place of business. Well, finally the day arrived, when I donned my leathers and helmet and after topping off the tank was on my way. Let me just say, I wanted to keep riding all night........
Happy motoring to you all and be safe, and remember, you are in great hands with Matt, the new owner of, " BLACK KAT MOTORWERKS. " Matt through the days, you have been thought of often by me, and every time I ride this wonderful Motorbike, you will be thought of. When we work with our hands, it doesn't get any better than that. I know, I've been at my craft now for over 40 years. Getting continual gratitude from a customer for anything that is done right, especially when the work performed is with our hands, doesn't get any better, and is the best gift in life. And after a time, the snowball affect is astronomical. Good things come to good people. The thing I like most about you Matt is, that you walk your talk.
Thank you so much my friend, and most of all, thank you for making my bike safe....
I wish you many, many years of joy and working safe Matthew, in this new acquisition of
Black Kat Motorwerks. May you prosper beyond your wildest dreams....
Jack Lelah
