Right on time... A…read morecouple of years ago, I found an old electric IBM wall clock on eBay. These iconic clocks were used in the grade schools you and I attended back in the day. Most of these types of clocks were part of a master-slave system, where if you had a slave clock it would not function without the master. Although the clock I purchased was a slave, this limitation didn't bother me as I didn't want to power the clock using AC power but wanted to convert it to DC (read: battery) power. In addition to finding the right clock movement to use, the clock body itself was a little beat up and needed some tlc, not to mention a new glass crystal. My initial searches in trying to find the right components were fruitless and after a few weeks I gave up. The IBM clock project was shelved for the time being. I took up the search again last week and my googling led me to American Time or atsclock.com. I'm not sure why I didn't find this company before but I essentially hit the clock restoration jackpot. American Time located in Dassel, Minnesota has a local address but I'm not sure whether they have a storefront open to the public. This review in particular will only pertain to their online presence aforementioned at atsclock.com. If you live in Dassel, they do have an 800 number and their brick and mortar status can be verified by giving them a call. American Time's website is easily navigated and the layout is conducive to finding the part you need in the least amount of time. It's rather impressive how much product they offer at really competitive prices. Furthermore, the descriptions of their product are well written and easy to understand though if you have any questions at all, which I did, I found their sales representative to be helpful and somewhat knowledgable. I did have to get a call back in regards to a crystal I wanted to order and whether or not it would work with my type of clock. As stated, their selection of product is unmatched and I was easily able to find the right movement (USA made!), the right clock hands, as well as a replacement GLASS crystal for my clock project...they also offer plexiglass and polycarbonate crystals if that's what you're looking for. Prices are incredibly competitive and shipping charges were minimal. I received my items in less than a week and the packing was more than sufficient. It's always great to not only find an American company to do business with but one that offers stellar customer service, USA made parts and quick shipping times. If you're in the market to find parts for a clock restoration project or if you're looking to replace a broken movement or even have your clock repaired, I'd definitely give American Time your business. They deserve it.

After contacting J&J Marine in South Haven, MN 6 (six), yes 6 times without receiving any response (Starting May 8,2014). We then contacted Port-Dock direct (May-19 ,2014), they agreed that it should be covered under warranty. They also stated we had to work with the "J&J". So far it has been (7) weeks and NO action has been taken. We will keep you updated.
