Dropped our truck off to have the Uconnect checked because it kept giving an error. Our Uconnect seems to be fixed but the truck is covered in mud as if someone took it off-road. This place is a rip-off , I took my vehicle in to get a NYS inspection. It took them 1.5 hours . Then they failed it for wipers and a upper brake light . They are just looking for stuff on vehicles to get money out of you , They charge $21.00 for a tiny bulb that takes 3 minutes to change. I went to Auto-zone and bought the bulb for $4.00 and it took 2 minutes to change. My wipers have nothing wrong with them. They stripped the inspection sticker so I said give me the vehicle I'm done here. I took it to another shop and passed with no issues. They are just looking for your $ , beware. read more

We were referred to Simmons Rockwell by a local mechanic who performed life-saving measures on our car halfway through a 300 mile trip. We needed a new ride to get us the rest of the way. Emmett was great. He showed us only the type of vehicles we were interested in and the price range we had in mind. We ended up with a newer vehicle than we thought we could afford. He handled all the paperwork while we charged our phones and enjoyed free WiFi. We had a pleasant and uneventful drive and were back home by the end of the day. read more

The staff was very helpful in explaining my options in regards to buying pre-owned or leasing. After much thought and discussion about what I could afford, I decided to go with the 2016 Ford Fusion. I had never leased a Vehicle before and decided I would see how it went for 3 years. The sales guys were all in good spirits and they made the process much more fun and a lot less stressful. They were all very up front and forward and honest about things and I appreciated their candidness throughout the process. I drove into Bath NY from Rochester NY in a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am (which I purchased from Simmons and Rockwell about 10 years ago) with 132k on her, and drove home in a 2016 Ford Fusion with barely any miles registered on the odometer. I went in to Simmons Rockwell Bath today to have my brake check as I have been experiencing issues. They told me the rotors were bad and need replacement. For all the years I have been going in to this dealership for services, not once did they tell me there was issues with brakes nor did they suggest changing the pads. Suddenly the rotor needs replacement (My car only has 33k miles on it and it's a hybrid)? Then I realized that not once did they perform any multi-point check and brake inspection during the oil changes and they even charged me additional $20 for tire rotation while in owner.ford.com it is clearly stated that oil change service includes tire rotation, brake inspection, etc. I don't believe they are honest and they will rip you off whenever they can. Recently bought a vehicle here and had a decent experience. (Have bought my last 3 primary vehicles here.) As far as prices go, they pretty much can't be beat for as low mileage as their vehicles have. The customer service was decent. One thing to note is that if you are looking for a certain brand, you can check out whichever location is closest to you but keep in mind that there will be a much bigger selection at the dealer location of the actual brand that you are looking for. We stopped in Big Flats to look for Fords and were told that they have the pretty much the same inventory everywhere by a worker. After seeing that there wasn't anything we were that sold on, we went to Bath, their Ford location, and found MUCH MORE to choose from. In Bath, we pretty much found what we were looking for right away. A few things to look out for: 1). Make sure to check and see if you have any floor mats in your new vehicle. We didn't notice that we had none until we had already left and gone home. Ended up using floor mats that I had saved from a previous vehicle I had bought here in the past. A friend just bought a Jeep from Simmons-Rockwell and he also received no floor mats. I have bought cars here in the past and they always had floor mats so this must be a new thing they are doing. 2). If your vehicle is equipped with a keypad security code that you need to know the code for, be sure to ask before you leave because we were not given that information and had to make a special trip back to the dealer in order to get it. 3). If you don't want SXM calling your house to solicit, be sure to specify that to them at the time of purchase because we didn't know this was an issue until we were being called by them. read more

I went to Simmons-Rockwell in Bath NY, on Monday afternoon after a family weekend in Southern NY . The sales man was very accommodating and good to work with. We drove a Ford Escape, Nissan Rogue & a Ford Fusion. We decided on the Ford Escape. The salesman told us there had another Escape, but the color was very unpopular & it has been sitting on their lot since 10/16/16 at the Big Flats location. He worked us up a price without a trade. We did ask what amount do they give for trade ins. He stated usually not more than 1500.00. We left the Bath location and drove another 20 minutes to the Big Flats location & test drove the Escape ( I liked the color). Called the salesman on Tuesday morning in Bath and left a message (his day off) that I would take the car and would have a trade in also. Talked directly with the salesman on Wed morning and told him I would be coming up with my car to trade and I would write them a check for the new car. I had to get off work early and drive 2 hours back to Bath, I could have just went to Big Flats to get the car but wanted the salesman at Bath to get the commissions. They would only give me 200.00 tops for my trade in (it is a 04 Pontiac Grand Am with almost 120K miles on it, I agree it needs some work which I am sure they could do right there dirt cheap). I stated I was not taking the deal I thought to get at least 1000.00 to make the deal come in at where I had already secured a car loan for. I walked out then the salesman called me back in to talk to his manager. The manager never stood up from his desk nor offered his hand I made him shake my hand. The manager talked condescending to me and tried to make me understand their issues. I understand their issues they are there to make money too. Here is my issues, I had to take 1.5 hours off work, drive 2 hours, (by many other dealerships) have my bank hurry to do a car loan for me in two days and buying a car from this dealership that has been on their lot for almost 10 months. I feel that I was treated by the sales manager like a stupid woman. My family and friends will all know not to cross the threshold at the Bath Simmons Rockwell location. I personally will not go to any Simmons Rockwell locations to buy anything. read more

From the minute I contacted the dealership, it's been a positive experience. Phil Hunn listened to what we were looking for and quickly got back to us with several quotes on different vehicles that fit our needs. I had already received a quote from another GM dealership for an Equinox and to my surprise, the Simmons-Rockwell quote was substantially lower. From the beginning, Phil was up front with what he could do for us and when it came time to crunch the final numbers and make a decision, Phil was able to find another incentive that he was able to pass on to the town and save us another $500.00. I went up to Simmons and Rockwell Bath about 2 weeks ago. Looking at trading in my current vehicle for a new Cruze. I had done my research on the value of my trade in, as well as on the vehicle I was looking to purchase. The sales rep Emmett was wonderful. When we sat down to do the numbers the Manager, Alfred, came sauntering over and I knew right away he thought he was going to try to take advantage of a young, single female. I had told Emmett my price range and max loan term. They came back offering far less than my trade was worth, a 7 year loan term (rather than the 6 I said was my max) and tried to offered me an interest rate of 5.99% when my credit score was nearly 800. They offered me payments almost $60 higher than I had said I would do. These people were not willing to work with me at all. Needless to say I will never purchase a vehicle here. This past Tuesday I went up to Bob Johnson Chevy in Avon and had an INCREDIBLE experience. I got more for my trade in, the payments I was asking for and a reasonable 3.99% interest rate. AND they gave me a 2014 Chevy Cruze LTZ with the RS package with 19,000 miles for less than SR wanted to charge on a 2014 2LT. My sales rep was AMAZING and I signed the papers that day.
