I can own one?" That was the beginning of the dream come true. Roadmasters' Car Concierge, Raymond, found a 1927 Model T, talked to the seller, had his mechanic talk to the seller, negotiated a price for the extras tires, went and looked at it with his mechanic (with me and my husband), hauled it back to Roadmasters, had his mechanics go over it and service it, and had his Model T guy give me lessons. They do everything! I would have never bought this type of car without knowing people that knew what they were doing and could service it and store it during the winter. I am living the dream that was mirely only a distant thought for years. (And I thought I wanted a golf cart!...this is so much more fun :) I'm so lucky to be a Model T owner that when I ride along the road, everyone smiles... but their smile is not bigger than mine!! I had been going to a mechanic for years; however lately, he employed an individual for his front…read moredesk that wasn't capable of returning messagers left or phone calls as such I went in search for another mechanic and found Evinghams in Canisteo. I have a 2010 Nissan Rogue that developed a knocking noise which sounded as though it was coming from the rear of the car. My step son and his daughter had just moved back to NY from Alaska and he needed a vehicle to get to and from his new job here so there was some urgency in getting this noise fixed. Anyway, I called Evinghams and spoke to a person named Jake, briefly explained the situation and the noise I was hearing and asked him if he could take a look at it for me and if he thought ir ws safe to drive. His response was, essentially, sure bring it up and we'll get if sorted out and I wouldn't drive it as it sounds like a drive shaft problem. I explained that I had to find someone to follow me to his work shop as I was the only driver in my family to which he replied, no problem and when it is done I can bring the car back to you if you can't get a ride ... The following day I took the car up to him and discovered he was still open at 7:00pm so I gave the keys etc to his mechanic and left - I have two vehicles if anyone is wondering. The following day I got a phone call from Jake telling me the brakes were all rusted and pited from sitting around not being driven (which was true) but would get them done and give me a call when it was ready. The following day, I got the call from Jake telling me it was all done and that he found another problem that needed doing as well along with a very reasonable price. All in all, Evinghams is great in my opinion, honest, reliable, tyrustworthy, fast and from what my step tells me - does very good work as well. I would gladly reccomend Jake and his crew to anyone!
