The rule of law is evident. 1 start off for the guards, thinking they are gods. Also, do not have your issue filled on by a *Temp Judge". (a temporary judge). Basically, they are lawyers volunteering for the work of a judge. So, in the future they can become judges. BUT, they do not know all the laws. (Remember they are practicing). AND, you wave your rights to appeal his/her decision. So, do not do that!!!!!!! Tell them you want your case, heard by a real judge. Now, they will try to talk you out of it, but you need to insist on it. Remember, the "Temp" does not know all the laws and will always rule in favor for the court system. They want to look good in the eyes of the court, so they can become a job later. Always fight your tickets! Good luck.

This morning my lady and I used it after setting up an online appointment for the mysterious Real ID. It went smoothly and easy. Length of time about a little over an hour. Staff there always efficient , friendly and helpful. This atmosphere no matter how many people are there for appointments or walk ins is handled professionally with enough staff to accommodate needed service. Now the Real ID was created by the 911 commission to cover a stronger level of protection for all of us traveling on domestic flights. On flights outside USA you still need a passport . May 2025 was the deadline for travelers flying within the USA. So how does this work. Go online and set up an appointment and follow prompts to establish a date and time ending with a confirmation number. So what documentation do you need to take with you. You might be able to download the documents but I couldn't do that because I don't have the expertise to tackle that task. So my wife and I brought with us physical documentation of official marriage license, driver license, two statements with each of our names of auto registrations , DWP bills, Gas co bills Social Security statements, etc They need to see your name and correspondent residential address. Two For you and two different for your wife. There is a problem with for instance a copy of my birth certificate that lacked the official seal of New York. So I couldn't use it, I used something else. The extremely nice lady helped us through this maze of state paperwork. Now when all measure of documents are accepted and returned to you your next stop at another window is the certification and finger printing process . The situation now is your decision to have your new Real ID incorporated into your existing drivers license designated with an image of a golden bear and a star. I believe for a senior citizen the charge for that is around 30 dollars. Or what we did is free of charge decided to just keep our drivers license as it is and opt for a separate Real ID card. Now last window where you have your photo taken for the brand new Real ID. Make sure all the documents you came in with, go out with you. All of this done in a little over an hour. This branch is very clean, you can measure that by visiting the restroom. If you need to visit a DMV branch I would heartily recommend the Simi branch for as I believe their exceptional competency, understanding how us in our sunset years need a little more help in our getting through this experience. Can't avoid this, just get it done. You will receive Real ID in mail 3 or 4 weeks
