After reading the information about rustproofing on their website, I scheduled my appointment…read moreonline for as soon as they opened at 9 a.m. I was so thankful Keith took the time to do a VERY THOROUGH job of undercoating my SUV. Their website said an appointment usually takes 60-90 minutes, but I was very pleased he spent extra time (a little over 2 hrs.) doing my SUV. I am a newcomer to So. Dak. and snow country, so my SUV had only the undercoat the dealer had applied 18 yrs. ago in Calif. Kevin explained that some of the rubber plugs, whose purpose is to keep road moisture off the frame, were missing on the frame under my vehicle. However, he was able to treat those open areas with the Woolwax, so the frame is now protected from salt, brine and water despite the missing plugs. He also found some of the plastic shields under the wheel wells were loose due to some missing plastic clips, and he installed those clips. He explained I will no longer need to to get the underbody of my car washed when I go through the car wash, because the clear Woodwax treatment will protect the SUV from the salt, brine and water. He said the clear wax treatment will actually last longer if I DON'T wash the underbody of my car. Kevin texted me pictures of his completed work, and it couldn't look any cleaner under my car, in the wheel wells and in the door jambs. He took the time to patiently answer all my questions and explained the treatment should be reapplied each year. [A 50% discount will apply next year.] I highly recommend this business.

I live down on Omaha, NE and was glad I made the 3-hour trip up to Dakota Rustproofing. Scheduling was easy with the online reservation form. I received a confirmation email immediately after scheduling and a follow up a day before my appointment. Keith even called me to morning of my appointment to make sure the weather was not too bad for me to make the drive up to Sioux Falls. Keith went over the entire process when I arrived and made sure my expectations were met. He then began his magic on protecting my vehicle. Before he was finishing up, he brought me into the work bay to show me the work while it was on the lift. He did a very thorough job and I am happy with the attention to detail he showed my vehicle. I am happy to support small businesses, especially ones that take pride in the work they perform. Keith enjoys the work he does and that is reflected in his attitude and customer service. Without hesitation I would recommend bringing your vehicle, old or new, to Dakota Rustproofing. I certainly will be back for touchups as needed, and for any future rustproofing needs on other vehicles.

I'm from out of town. I professionally help people find high quality, low mileage used cars, within…read morea customer's budget. A Subaru Impreza found at a Subaru dealer seemed good on paper and in the photos. But I NEVER accept a vehicle unless I run Carfax, AutoCheck and two free VIN history reports ("NICB VINCheck" and VINHISTORY "dot" com). Some bad vehicle are being sold by good and bad dealers. And sometimes Carfax misses stuff AutoCheck catches, and vice versa. In this case, there was no contradicting info, and only positive and helpful neutral details in these reports. BUT THIS IS NOT ENOUGH. No matter what anyone says, a used car is not worth buying if you cannot have a quality, reputable and competent shop perform a thorough pre-purchase inspection. Chris's Auto Repair (Anthony, Travis and company) did exactly what we needed and more. They not only did everything to evaluate the mechanical condition of the vehicle, but looked for evidence of past accidents/abuse. They even went into the car to tell us if it had any distinct odors that would turn us off. My customer and I made it known that we were VERY concerned about the cosmetic condition of the car. So, in addition to a full mechanical, structural inspection and road test, the tech's at Chris's provided us with a thorough understanding of the car's body (scratches, dings, dents, etc as well as any cracks in the vinyl bumpers and surrounds). There were a number of things that were not known that were revealed. The tire tread was beginning to separate, the front fascia/grill area was cracked (from someone banging into a cement parking barrier, and a number of less important items that were good to know up front. These were items that the dealer did not reveal to us. In the end, my customer decided that there was nothing so bad with the vehicle that she couldn't either live with or address when it was purchased and shipped to Denver. I could not be happier with the thorough and conscientious way that Chris's evaluated the Impreza. My customer was very glad she spent the money and entrusted this pre-purchase inspection to Chris's.
