I called a couple other surveyors but was told I would get the project done in six weeks, which didn't fit my plan for landscaping this year. Aegis was new but promised to deliver within 2 weeks and despite a lot of "detective work" I had the plat in hand and within the court records and land markings completed within the promised time frame. They had given me a sensible bid, not the highest or the lowest but in keeping with the work they did.

I called EDM and they were able to come out in less than a week and performed the survey for a reasonable price. I'm glad I did have the property surveyed. Most places were two to three weeks out or very expensive to come out within a day or two. I explained the situation to Tyler on a Monday and he quickly responded with a fair estimate and said he would have someone out to do the job on Wednesday. He encountered a situation with someone that could have easily escalated but his great 'people skills' prevented anything from happening. I can't say enough about EDM, their services, or their employees. Tyler and Jay are the definition of what 'true-professionals' are and I consider them both as assets to the company. We decided that the price was too high and never signed the work order. She received a call on 4/18 and told the person that the price was too high and that we did not want to schedule the survey. For some reason they still sent someone to our home a few days later, so we told them that we never ordered the survey and they left. A few days after we received a bill supposedly because we did not cancel the service properly - which we never ordered in the first place. Then we called and spoke with the owner who was very unprofessional and ended up threatening to take us to small claims. Very shady and dishonest company trying to scare people into paying them for their own incompetence.
