I was referred to this office for a root canal by my dentist. On the 3rd of February 2026, I had…read morethe procedure done on a tooth on my lower jaw by Dr. Brown and one of her assistants. Both ladies were very caring and consistent in making sure I was comfortable during the whole procedure. Their positive energy alleviated any apprehension I had when I arrived. They knew how to have a good time with humor and laughter while paying close attention to the procedure. Dr. Browns attention to detail is an 11 out of 10 Her assistant I give 11 out of 10 as well. I really didn't feel much in the way pain during my visit. That's impressive. Dr. Brown greeted me with a handshake and smile when I got there, and when my visit was over, she shook my hand again with a smile goodbye. Now that's a doctor who likes her job and cares for her patients. God bless you Dr. Brown. Thank you ladies for taking care of me. I never had a root canal before and the whole experience was very pleasant indeed. I would recommend anyone who needs this or any other type of work to this office should they get or need a referral for it. I walked out with a smile, I think you will to.

I set a first appt. at Old Towne Dentist after reading reviews for Dr. Houpt, which were very good…read more After being seated in the dental chair I heard Dr. Houpt was part time retiring and I would be seeing Dr. Redgate whom I had no background check or reviews. I thought I Would see Dr. Houpt and thought he was the only dentist there. I continued with the first appointment with a laundry list of recommended work for my 71 year old teeth including replacing old fillings etc. In the world or unlimited funds and time maybe that would be a good plan. I was going to wait to see the cost associated with the proposed plan which I have yet to receive. The purpose of my visit was to get a quote for bonding for chipped front teeth, nothing else was bothering me. I was also interested in the cost of veneers. When I got home I checked online what I could and learned Dr. Redgate had excellent school history for Dentristy, apparently worked as a dentist in the military and the only history I could find of dentistry in general public was in CA in 2021, changing offices in 2023 and now at Old Towne Dental in WA.. I certainly cannot know if there is more history with general public - this is what I could find online. I would love to see real patient reviews both from California and Washington. While serving as a Dentist in the military is relevant, serving as a Dentist to the general public is also important. I think the skill set would have differences, but I am not a dentist. I am someone who has seen many dentists over 70 years, some bad, some good, some excellent. It is hard to know until the work is done and then it is what it is. Therefore - public reviews from prior patients are important to me. I wish it was easier to select a dentist. I wish Old Towne Dental and its associates great success and many good reviews.

I was referred by someone whom is extremely opinionated so I finally made the call. Upon my 1st visit, I started to feel anxiety which apparently the assistant noticed and said, "Your doing fine, is there anything I can do to help ease your anxiety?" I looked at her like she was not from around here. I explained that I was ashamed but if I wasn't taught something, how am I supposed to be able to learn so I can teach my own?" She looked and smiled and said, "You have the courage to come in, the next step is ours. We will help." From that moment on, I've had 5 follow up visits and each time, I feel more confident I made the right decision (actually I followed a recommendation). Dr. Yunn, Rose, Melissa are the most caring and professional staff i have come across in my 55 years of life. I highly recommend them. Thank you for all you do to help individuals like me.

Scheduled my initial appointment on their website, which I thought was incredibly convenient. I was also able to complete ALL of my initial paperwork online so I didn't have to do any when I came in for my first visit. So, initial impressions on appointment day (today). This location is fantastic--super central being in The Trails. I parked at 8:45am and there was still plenty of parking, although the parking spaces in The Trails can be a little challenging if you drive a large vehicle like I do. Once in the clinic, the guy at the front desk was super friendly and got me checked in quickly. Sat down and waited maybe 10 or 15 minutes before being called back. The waiting room was very clean, as was every hallway/room I saw and went into for the duration of my visit. I will say--the atmosphere is a bit sterile. It's kind of cold in there with natural daylight cool lighting. I do wish they would warm it up a bit. Everyone I came across was very nice, including Dr. Chen, who I scheduled my appointment with. She was so nice answering all of my questions, checking in frequently to be sure I was comfortable, and that I understood everything she was doing in my mouth during the appointment. I felt like I came out knowing more about my teeth and how to better care for them than I have when visiting other dentists, which I love. After my appointment was over, a care coordinator, Jen, came in to book some future appointments and go over expected charges for the dental care I needed. She did a very thorough job explaining all charges, what insurance would cover and what they wouldn't, and ensured I clearly understood all of the financial details. I was thoroughly impressed that Dr. Chen was actually able to knock out half of the work I needed as soon as Jen was done explaining everything. She was very quick and thorough, and I found the charges to be very fair and clear. I was charged exactly what they said they'd charge, and they did not charge until I fully understood what I was paying for. Emphasizing that again because other reviews have complained about a lack of bill transparency. I didn't experience that at all. By the time I left, about two hours after I arrived, the parking lot was packed and I was so thankful I didn't have a later appointment. Overall, I am VERY happy with this clinic. Everyone was kind, charges were fair and clear, and Dr. Chen was awesome. I have to go back for a second session of work in one week and I'm actually excited. I'll definitely recommend this clinic to others.

I was asked to arrive at 1:45 PM for a 2:00 PM appointment, but I wasn't called in until after 2:20 PM. When I approached the receptionist to ask about the delay, I was told, "It is not in my control"--a response that felt dismissive rather than empathetic. What made the situation worse was the doctor's reaction when it was clear I was frustrated. Instead of acknowledging the issue, I was told, "If you would like to go someplace else..." I found that to be both unprofessional and off-putting. Everyone has off days, but a little courtesy and communication would have gone a long way

Alright, so I have been coming here for a long time....since before COVID. I've had a significant…read moreamount of dental work done here, including a gum graft, multiple root canals, crowns, fillings, deep cleanings, and more. The quality of the dental work has been excellent, and I've never had any issues with the treatment I received. After my gum grafts, the oral surgeon recommended that I have cleanings every three months to help manage inflammation. Unfortunately, I've never been able to stay on that schedule. Every time I book an appointment, the earliest available opening is about six months out. They also don't have access to the schedule beyond that, so there is no way to book appointments every three months in advance. I've been trying for more than two years to get onto a three-month cleaning schedule without success. They've gone through several dental hygienists and usually only have one available, so I understand why scheduling is so limited. However, when you're dealing with the possibility of losing your teeth in the future, I can no longer overlook this issue. I also changed my phone number about two years ago, but for some reason my old number was never removed from my account. When I called today to ask why I was no longer receiving appointment confirmation calls or texts, I was told they had both numbers on file and had been contacting my old number instead. I was told this was due to their new system. My recommendation is to seek long-term dental care with a practice that is not part of a large corporate environment. Even though the quality of the dental work here has been excellent, I believe patients who require ongoing preventive care should be able to receive the level of follow-up treatment their providers recommend. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience. If you have relatively few dental issues, this may be a good option for you. They provide quality dental services and have convenient locations. However, if you're like me and require extensive dental work or ongoing preventive care to avoid future problems, I would recommend considering a local dental practice that is more sympathetic and accomodating to your individual needs.

Dental care is not optional or elective, and shifting costs onto patients through a membership model creates an unnecessary financial barrier. Good luck trying to make non-Medicaid patients show up for multiple appointments for one dental procedure, Dr. Gulati. People with other insurance options won't put up with that.
