My daughter goes here and has been bullied by students for her clothes, I told the school and they said they would do something. I took my daughter shopping for new clothes and, to find out that the school didn't do anything! I call back and they said they'll talk to the students and they don't! I took matters into my own hands and talked to their parents. My daughter no longer faces those problems, but I should not have to do that. read more

I would not suggest this school to any child, They do not help children who have mental issues and when my child got into a fight because someone was trying to stab her with a pencil, my child was the one who got suspended. I would like to start off by saying that this review isn't trying to promote any hate or any negative impact towards anyone but to give an honest report to parents on the right schools that promotes a positive environment for their children to learn in. This schools education system is very poor, most teachers at this school have no idea on how to go about the way with teaching with their students and my child has often come home complaining about them focusing in class or working with their teacher because they feel targeted. Whenever you speak out on it with the staff in the office they do nothing to resolve any issues. My daughter has had derogatory terms used against her which makes her feel unsafe at school and the issues were never dealt with or address but instead just brushed off with nothing done about it besides a tiny slap on the wrist. Another issue that my daughter has faced is what she felt like was favoritism with teachers. My daughter joined a schools sports team and she often felt like during games the teacher only allowed a certain amount of play time for people her coach favored over other students. Counselors did nothing to help my daughter with her mental health issues either. As they promised sessions with her every Thursday to help get over and see pass the prejudice and racist comments she got and no one ever pulled her for counseling sessions to where she felt like she had to go home early to get away from it or like she wasn't heard or taken seriously. You might say to yourself that they have a lot going on with other students, but the other students in question were the students they pulled out of class to help them skip instead of the students that actually needed that support from them. My daughter has had a rough time developing at the school from the rude comments affecting her more than just her mental health but her academics. They don't acknowledge anything that comes out of the student's or parent's mouth and only what comes up on the surface about them. Sorry that my child had to experience this for 3 years straight. First off, I would like to say that this is a genuine rating and im not some kid trying to make the school look bad. Honestly as a student I don't feel that this is a good school. The school computers are terrible. The rooms (especially the science rooms) look like they havent been cleaned in 10 years. Seriously. I bet there is a 1 inch layer of crust and trash on the science room floor. Most of the staff is always in a grumpy mood. For example, earlier today I got in trouble because I hugged my girlfriend. Like seriously, how does hugging my girlfriend harm you whatsoever? Some spirit days (LGBTQ day) I feel are not appropriate for school. School should focus on learning. Not giving appreciation to a class that is already appreciated (by most people). Some teachers go completely off topic when their teaching. Therefore, I don't feel the need to recommend this school to ANYONE. read more

I am being very generous of this review. My kid hates this school. The principle is very nice don't get me wrong but there must be something wrong why I am giving this review. Their is so many rules that don't even matter like one of the teachers was saying I need st to sign this document so you have no say and you have to stay in my class. Another horrible thing was my kid got into a fight and the kid kept shoving him so my kid shoved him and threw him to the floor and my son gets in trouble for defending himself and the other kid got a warning. My last thing to say is that on the last day of school my kid got heat stroke because they did a rally where they all meat up and sing cheeky songs to make the school look better. My cousin joined Silverado in January and all of the teachers helped her and they were very supportive of her. On her first day of school she had a test and it was a open book test and she passed, next period she had a social studies test and the teacher didn't hold her it against her because she didn't read the material and she hadn't leaned it yet. I love this school. She signed up for band and the band teacher welcomed her with open arms, the band teacher gave her a music book and she got right to playing. The kids going to this school are amazing, the teachers are amazing, the campus is amazing. My whole family loves this school read more

This is a great middle school, lots of hard working caring teachers, new technology for students and a clean campus.

The worst establishment I've seen in a while. With terrible administration and teaching staff your child will not learn anything and will waste 3 years of their life being harassed and picked on. With negative attitudes and sex/drugs your student will most likely be led down the wrong path. There was a highly contagious disease going around and the children were forced to go to school. I suggest you stay away from this school. read more
