I understand your policy and acknowledge that we arrived later than intended. However, the issue is not just timing... it is how your business handled the situation. When I called, the interaction was rude, dismissive, and ended with your staff hanging up while we were still trying to communicate, only minutes away. That is unprofessional and unacceptable. There was no effort to show basic courtesy, offer alternatives, or handle the situation respectfully... only a refusal and loss of payment. Policies do not justify poor customer service. If this is how customers are treated, it will impact your reputation over time. People pay attention to how they're treated, and they share those experiences. Silver Wind Stables is a great place to send your children for riding lessons! My daughter goes here, and she LOVES it. (Thanks to Christine!) The only thing I would say that's not very great is the fact that the horses that are boarding there are treated way better than lessons horses! (My opinion) Anyway, Silver Wind Stables is a great place! All the trainers are amazing. Such a family friendly barn. Incredible people. They really try to incorporate the kiddos in every aspect of taking care of horses. They truly care for their animals and if they see a horse being neglected or over-used they step in to advocate for the horses health. If your kid is wanting to check out horseback riding, go here. Great barn! Beautiful property! Great people! I always enjoy my time at Silverwind. I've ridden at/worked at a lot of barns in my 22+ years in the equestrian world. This place is top 3 for sure. My family and I booked a ride over Memorial Day weekend. We are experienced rideEd. Once on our ride we turned into a field. My husbands horse starting bucking and bucked him off. His horse scared my granddaughters horse which bucked and fell over on top of my grandfather. While both of them are ok I would think if I owned the stables I'd at least reach out to us to say sorry that happened and are you all ok? But we've heard nothing. We took our two kids for an hour trail ride out to their gorgeous land several weeks ago. Our kids have never been on horses before and Annie was so kind and patient with them. Silver Wind stables offers camps to children from ages 5-18. The price of the camp is very expensive but I was hoping to give my nieces an experience that they would never have the opportunity to have. I sent the owner an email asking if she had room for my three nieces and she answered immediately with the information. Although the description said the camper would have daily barn chores, it did not describe those chores. The camp lasted from 9 until 4 and each day the rider was on the horse anywhere from 1 to 1and 1/2 hours. Several hours were spent mucking the stalls, (plural) carrying water and hauling hay. At lunch, they watched a movie! All of this for $350 per child with no multi child discount! After the second day I sent the owner an email telling her how disappointed I was and she has NEVER responded back to me. In addition, she was not at the camp which was run by children between 12 and 14 years of age. There was an instructor there that was 20, but not there everyday. The groups were supposed to be divided by age and skill level, but that was not the case either. The ages ranged from 5-17 and novice to experienced in both groups. I will never recommend this camp to any of my friends. It's expensive, poorly planned, disorganized and there is not proper supervision. My kids spent a week doing someone else's chores and I paid for them to do it. So, "where's my sign?" I'm just warning everyone else from my mistake! read more

BEST TRAIL RIDE EVER! Thank you, Claire! Myself and my 3 daughters ages 10, 14 and 17 all went on a Trail Ride in August when we were visiting family in Edmond. This was our second visit to Silver Wind Stables for a trail ride. The first was several years ago. They are very accommodating, kind and respectful. We have done trail rides in lots of different places around the country (and Mexico) so we have a lot to compare it to. Claire was AMAZING, she showed us step by step how to prepare the horses for the ride. The horses were specifically chosen for each of us based on our age, experience and comfort. The property is VERY large with differing terrain so we get to experience a great deal of how to handle the horses in these different situations and she explained every step before we moved from place to place. We can't say enough about how excellent Silver Wind Stables is. Highly recommend them. And we will be back for sure! read more
