Great wee bar in the heart of Slane! We did a mini pub crawl of the town and this was our second…read moreport of call. It's worth noting that Poets Nest is not open on Monday or Tuesday evenings but when Wednesday comes around the wee bar really comes alive. As traditional as they come, expect fiddle'd'dee music when you enter and expect to be greeted by the widest Irish smile from the bar. I opted for a pint of Guinness, obviously, while my girlfriend went for a white wine. We were able to pull up a pew at the bar and enjoy our drinks. For real hospitality call in here for a drink. Unfortunately we just missed the live music but it would be worth scoping out when they have bands playing.
