We had Julian dj at our wedding about a month ago now and he was good. Th only reason we are giving him 3 stars is because he got my wife's name wrong 3 times. He got it wrong on an email which I corrected him. He got it wrong 2 more time during our wedding I even tried to correct him during our wedding in front of our guests but I don't think he heard me. Then after that he said it wrong again. So my wife wasn't happy and that's something she will not forget about our wedding. Other then that he was good. Hi I had the displeasure of speaking to JULIEN. So i have a set budget which was listed clear as day when i contacted them regarding their prices but despite that they still reached out to me and decided to waste my time because they aren't able to meet that budget. To take it further they were extremely rude in saying " we can't go that low" & " not sure where you'll be able to find a deal for $800" which I feel was personally unnecessary & unprofessional! Insulting customers and what they are able to afford! Definitely not a good way to go about getting customers! NEXT TIME JUST SAY "SORRY WE WONT BE ABLE TO WORK WITH THAT BUDGET" or SIMPLY DONT RESPOND!! I ran across Julian because I was growing very frustrated with the vendors of Santa Barbara. Look, I get it SB. You are a gorgeous place but your prices are ridiculous and you barely listen to the common people trying to make a dream come true. Talking with Julian was the most refreshing experience I had. I initially reached out to Julian for help with lighting at our first event at carousel house. He was able to respond back the same day and gave us a few options to meet our lighting needs. It wasn't the prices that made me a fan although they were extremely fair compared to other vendors. It was Julian's attention to detail and willing to work with whatever we asked from him. On his own whim, he also mentioned that he was a DJ and provided day of assistance on wedding days. We became intrigued with the assistance part as we began to feel overwhelmed closer to the dates. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and answered our questions very directly and without being pushy. During the planning process, Julian was very communicative and responsive, and even helped us to refine and set our wedding timeline. He gave us a worksheet that helped us to clarify songs we would want played during different times in the reception, and was unbelievably accommodating with any songs we wanted played. On the day of, Julian continued to help us to move things along according to the schedule, and also was very level-headed and calm. It was the perfect balance. Not only did Julian play a perfect selection of chill songs for the dinner and hors d'oeuvre time, he also brought the party with songs to get people dancing, as well as mixing in some salsa, cumbia, etc. to cater to my Hispanic family members. He also was responsive to taking requests from our friends and family, and incorporated some fun line dancing songs on the spur of the moment at the request of one of my groomsman.
