The accommodation is mediocre, but the owner is very unfriendly and unhelpful. I would not recommend you stay here.

Great quaint place with nice staff and cozy accommodations small dab in the middle of a bunch of…read moregreat restaurants. This place has its own parking in a semi secure area off the main street. The rooms are these little bungalows, some with a garage type area. They've got all the basic needs covered and the room rates are highly competitive.

Starting with check-in: I couldn't find anyone at the front desk. A very nice gentleman cleaning…read morerooms offered to find someone for me. Strange encounter. The clerk wasn't outright rude, but for the first several minutes seemed pretentious, like I wasn't good enough to stay there. He didn't introduce himself or ask my name; I introduced myself and asked his name after check-in, and he warmed up a bit. It felt like I'd caught him doing something wrong or arrived before he was ready. I had to ask multiple questions because he didn't offer information or engage. My customer service was on point--his, not so much. I'd been driving all day and was exhausted, wearing very casual clothes, but he felt very judgey. I asked to see the rooms after reading reviews. The first was rundown and not worth the $150 he quoted. He kept going into the back office between questions, implying he was busy or nearly full (there was only one car outside). When I asked to see the other side of the hotel, which had allegedly been updated, he bragged about being fully booked, though I only ever saw three cars. Odd. The second room was just okay, but I was too tired to find another hotel, so I stayed one night. Few things frustrate me more than visible neglect and lack of detail. There were drywall screw heads popping out, scuffed walls, holes, and water-damaged bathroom drywall from a poorly placed glass shower door--crumbling onto the floor. The floor itself was dirty. The outer entry door was peeling badly, shedding bits of clear coating onto the floor and my hands. The blinds appeared to not have been cleaned in months--which should be done regularly. The bed frame was filthy--dust, debris, bits of wrappers and food. It was clearly dirty, with oils, handprints, and dried liquids (I'll leave that to your imagination). The closet doors, off-white, had visible hand grime. The disinfectant wipes I used were brown - yuck. The lamp was dusty, an outlet near the bed had a broken metal piece stuck inside, and both the bathroom vent and hair dryer were caked with dust. The dryer filter hadn't been cleaned in ages. The countertop above the mini fridge was detaching, the bathroom shelf was decaying, and the shower glass hadn't been cleaned. The creamy drip marks on the wall--hopefully conditioner or soap--remained, and the grout was mold-stained. A simple bleach spray would've fixed it. The shower water pressure was awful, with calcification that needs vinegar soaking. It also leaked from the stem. Meanwhile, the sink had too much pressure. The cleaning staff were wonderful--always offering help. The issues here clearly stem from management, not staff. I realize this isn't a four-star hotel and that my standards are higher than average. Having worked in property management and emergency response, I've been in many homes across all conditions and know what "clean" should look like. I attached photos (which don't even capture all of it) so others can decide for themselves. Public beds and showers should be cleaned frequently so dust, germs, and bugs don't build up. The initial clerk did warm up by the end, and wasn't outright rude, just awkward and pretentious at first. When I checked out, a different man was working. He was extremely pushy, insisting I stay longer despite me saying I had to get back on the road. Then he handed me a clipboard and said it was mandatory to fill out--a sheet listing my name, room number, and space for comments, stacked under previous guests' notes. I told him I'd review the hotel online instead. He insisted I fill in each section, so under "comments" I wrote "review on Yelp." Other than being pushy, he was friendly--but it was an annoying end to a stay that wasn't worth the cost. Not the worst stay I've had, but definitely not one I'd repeat.

I was a bit concerned when we first arrived, as there was a row of unhoused individuals further down the street near the freeway exit. However, once you pull in, the place is incredibly charming, and safe. The pool was great, and they even hosted a movie night, which was such a fun touch. My kids were so happy. We used the shuttle in the morning to get to the studios, which was very convenient. I also called the front desk after realizing I had left my stroller with valet, and they proactively brought my car up for me--such thoughtful service. The staff was especially helpful, which meant a lot as a single mom traveling with two children. We'll definitely be back.

I enjoyed the courtesy of the front desk staff. There is a very nice store right near the front desk. The lady was actually very helpful with an issue we had with the double decker bus we booked. She saved us and some guests from Australia some annoyance. The room was modern and we had a sort of garden/patio view. We were able to check in a few hours early but that is based on availability of course. I highly recommend staying here if you want to be in the West Hollywood area. It is a very charming hotel that was owned by Beverly Garland and now owned by her son.

But no problem we booked the Hilton which is right near the Sheraton and near City Walk and Universal Studios. it It is actually closer and they have a great shuttle service. You can also walk it, but I get tired. It is a long walk. We loved this Hilton. It was perfect. The hotel is very pretty and has the best pool and they have spa service which I loved and you can get great food right at the pool. The service is amazing. Our rooms were ready on time and all we needed and asked for in advance was there for us. We had a nice view and both rooms were spotless and so comfortable. I loved the bed. The front desk staff is great and can tell you all you need to know about the area. The food at the eatery is great and they have a lovely bar as well. They do not always have crab legs, but we were lucky. All the food was great, from breakfast to dinner. We will stay again.

Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City Shows Zero Courtesy to Hilton Diamond Members, Returning Guests,…read moreand Families With Disabilities As a Hilton Diamond member, I am honestly shocked and deeply disappointed by the complete lack of humanity, compassion, and basic courtesy shown by Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City. After years of using Hilton properties, including staying at this hotel in the past, we found ourselves in a difficult situation due to a flight delay. We only needed a very small favor: to hold one bag for about 2 hours so we could take our daughter to Universal CityWalk to buy something before heading to the airport. Instead of showing even the smallest amount of empathy or understanding, we were treated as if helping a family with a disability-related situation was some kind of burden. The assistant to the office manager, Ariel Larios, displayed behavior that honestly felt far below the level of basic human decency and hospitality that anyone would expect from a Hilton property. There was no patience, no compassion, no willingness to help, and no effort whatsoever to understand the situation. The entire interaction felt cold, dismissive, and focused only on extracting money rather than helping people in need for a simple 2-hour request. What made this even more disturbing: * We are Hilton Diamond members * We stayed at this hotel in previous years * We clearly explained the disability-related difficulty * We only needed temporary short-term assistance * There is no clearly disclosed written policy online stating that short-term luggage assistance is unavailable unless you purchase a room Rather than showing courtesy or appreciation for years of loyalty to Hilton, we were effectively pushed into paying around $220 for a full room simply to receive basic luggage assistance for 2 hours. This experience made it feel like Hilton Diamond status means absolutely nothing at this property unless you are actively spending more money that exact moment. Returning customers, families with disabilities, and even basic human kindness appeared completely irrelevant. Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City should be ashamed that a simple request for temporary help turned into such a cold and humiliating experience.

Jason was knowledgeable patient and very sweet . Jason alone gets 5 stars from me and my family. Now onto why I'm giving this place a 1 star review . We went straight to our room and as soon as we opened the doors we were greeted by a bunch of dirty cleaning towels yellow and blue assuming those where left by housekeeping alone , its unsettling to see that due to the fact that it automatically puts a sour thought in my mind and I quickly think this room has not been clean or touched :/ second issue although they do promote/offer free WiFi we unfortunately had trouble logging in to the tv as it kept giving us an error with the router :( Also it's so true about the walls being so THINNNN we had absolutely no sleep as we heard sirens all night and footsteps along the hallway every 20minutes beware you are in a busy street a lot going on. Lastly the following morning we had the fire alarms go off in the hotel and had the firefighters show up at 8 in the morning due to fire alarms going off . We of course took precautions and had to run down four floors of stairs just to go outside, no communication from the staff just a bunch of cold guest outside waiting to see if the ghost was clear..... what a show .. Oh they also loveeeeee pretending like they Care , I got an email asking if I wanted someone to contact me in which I did want a respond (looks like the Assistant to the GM, -Joshua tried) tried but not really succeed it after that ... like I said I'm never booking here again This was our first time booking here as we usually stay at the Hilton right across from universal in studio city . But due to full capacity there we had no choice but to book outside of our comfort zone .We are Hilton Honor member's and we did not enjoy our experience whatsoever.... Unfortunately Never again Hampton In I've learned my lesson .

The bar and continental breakfast has been closed as stated on the site, for several years now. There is free coffee and juice (water, apple, orange, and cranberry) though in the lobby. Coffee/latte machine is pretty high tech with several options to choose from on the menu. To be honest, for the bar and breakfast here there is probably no chance that it will open again. Although there are spaces for them, so maybe costs are cut here with less staff. Staff are friendly when you approach them. Parking is private in an underground garage and it's $10. Pretty pricey if you are here for many days, but it is what it is. Wifi is free with room, although it was slow for me so I just used my hotspot. Right now there is construction happening across the street. Other than that, it's a very chill and quiet relaxing spot. Good to be at especially for Universal Studios, under a 20 minute drive during morning rush traffic. I think it's only 2-3 miles away. Location is prime if you want to walk: Several restaurants, shops, and bus/train station is a block or so away. There even is a fire station nearby so that can get noisy sometimes in the middle of the night. You can also use an app to order breakfast or dinner to your door!

Cons: When checking in it felt like the hotel was left in charge of the owners two teenage sons who were goofing around with each other and weren't really being that professional. When I came back to the lobby later one was just on a couch in the lobby watching TV and ran back to the desk. Other con was water pressure. Would have had a better shower laying under the veggie mister at the grocery store. Last con was some unannounced $200 charge added to the room cost that he said would be refunded. We'll see since they didn't give me a receipt on check out.
