Silver Platters NORTH is always a stop when in the Alderwood Mall area. Huge selection of cd's & lp's to browse through . My collection is huge yet I always managed to find something interesting to grab. Like Alice In Chain LP BURT ! Still amazing today as it was in the 90's when I bought it then on cd... Now behind the counter space is some rare items. Nice thing is the staff can locate you items to pre order or from another store so don't hesitate to test their skill and knowledge. And last but not least you'll always find a great value in the used merchandise. Some of the coolest stuff now is used and some of that stuff you can flip on EBay ! Just don't share that data.. Anyways LOVE SILVER PLATTERS!

Strip mall record stores are one of my love languages. Based on the name alone, I never would've expected this to be a record store, let alone a large vinyl emporium with thousands of records to sift through! A friend recommended this place to me and we spent an hour here before closing. Vinyl, CDs, movies, random memorabilia, you name it they have it. Fun looking a the diverse assortment of posters on the walls. When I'm in vinyl mode, leave me alone. They had good music playing in the background which is always a plus. Heavy on classic rock, with a noteworthy selection of pop, country, metal, alternative, singer/songwriter, soundtrack, etc. I almost didn't buy anything. Not that there weren't records I wanted. But when I'm traveling I ask myself, " is this worth putting in my suitcase?" Some of the pricing striked me as a little high comparatively to other stores I know. Then at the end, I found a Chris Cornell record that means a lot to me. Boom, that's worth bringing on a plane. Especially with Cornell being a Seattle legend and one of my favorite singers of all time. Nothing flashy or trendy or Instagrammable here, just a record store's record store with the selection doing the talking. Kill some time at Silver Platters and support your local record shops!

love this place! easy to navigate the sections, broad selection, and knowledgeable, super super super cool staff. been going and will keep going here. their listening events for new albums are super fun as well so follow them on socials to see when those happen. keep it up silver plats! only wish they had more scooby doo movies here, selection on those is lower than normal

Exterior, proximate to the Lynnwood Convention Center, Post Office, and Olympus Spa (11/2/20)

Miss Silver Platters in Northgate, only locations are way south in industrial/SoDo Seattle or up in Lynnwood. This is for a lone visit on 11/2/20 as part of a multi-errand day, posting on 2/27/21. It is located near the Lynnwood Convention Center, Olympus Spa, post office, and a Chuck E Cheese. Worked in Lynnwood for 5.5 years and finally visit in Nov 2020, go figure. Both me and The Homie wandered the entire store and bought stuff and things. For me, music is always a vital aspect of life. I had just experienced job loss, so bought a compilation to uplift my mood. Decent selection of music and film. Friendly counter staff. Plenty of parking. Close to I-5 access.

Wow! The selection of cds, records and movies here was amazing! It seemed like items were in good condition too. While browsing I was able to find a lot of cds that I wouldn't have expected. They also have a great selection of new items and do a great job of displaying items that would be of interest. Loved the posters they had on display. Definitely a place to stop at if you enjoy music and movies.

Silver Platters reminds me of the heydays of Sacramento based Tower Records, a place where you can find almost anything related to music, and knowledgeable people to help you find what you are looking for. Audiophiles will appreciate the fact that places like these are still around, albeit, is not Hollywood's Amoeba. 2018 in an era of streaming services as the primary medium of music distribution, Silver Platters is more like an archeological find.

This a good all around music/movie used new store. Prices are fair, not sure how it is when trading in stuff.

But REALLY FOLKS!! Check this place out!!! It's AMAZING!! I should know, i've shopped here for 35…read moreyears!! (Just ask John) And i still shop here!! My favorite hangout!! And i always say " if you left without a treasure, you weren't looking" because behind every corner is a treasure to be had" that one toy from your childhhood, you still wish you had? Those platform shoes from the 70s! Or a pair of favorite denim? A long lost album from your favorite band? How about mom's favorite crockery or grandma's favorite apron you just adored?? YEP!! They have everything fun, interesting, beautiful and unsual!! Get lost for a couple or three hours, in the land history, art and intrigue. But don't forget to bring a snack and some water. See you there!!

This is the best antique/vintage mall in the Seattle area! It's HUGE!!!! So much stuff without much…read morerepetition between the booths. Prepare to spend hours! The staff are responsive and getting them to open a case is easy cheesy. Everyone I've interacted with has been super friendly and willing to go the extra mile if you are searching for a random oddball thing. Sometimes checkout lines are long if you go near closing time. I much Aurora Antique Pavilion to Fremont Vintage Mall (extremely expensive and not great selection) and Lander Street Vintage (good for some things but pricier.) I also like it better than the Star Mall in Snohomish which has a lot of poorly maintained booths and there's more of a musty smell at the Star Mall which might get into textiles.
