I am here 2-3 times a week now, and it's generally a pleasant experience. I really like the guys in the skate shop since they're always pleasant and friendly. I wish they had a bigger selection of the kids stuff (jocks, socks, helmet parts, etc.) because I really prefer to buy locally. But I have to buy elsewhere elsewhere too often when the local joints like this one don't have what I need.

And the parents for that matter. The enthusiasm, cleanliness, communication and over all enviroment is why we travel from Pawtucket! Not to mention all they learn. The self discipline, the confidence, respect, and they incorporate home and school with the younger students. I couldn't have found a better place for my girls to take their black belt journey. My now 19 year old received her black belt at 13. Her sister is now on her quest. We choose Lima's for all of the real life lessons that they learn. The dedictation and support Master Lima and staff give to push them to be their best! As a parent it's an amazing thing to watch! I thank the entire staff at Lima's Tae Kwon-Do for their crucial part of my daughter's journeys. I could go on and on so I will end with if your looking for a studio that puts your kids first and really teaches them and guides them to follow through. Limas is definitely the place to go! My son's normally confident friend looked crushed on the second day when I picked them up. They went on to tell me the friend was pointed at and made fun of the way he moved his arms. He was told what he was doing was wrong, but not shown the right way. One of the trainers just responded "wrong", everytime he didn't like the way a kid did something, and again did not show them the right way. The entire group was told by the female trainer that they "all were terrible at basketball and uncoachable". She furthermore went on to say "none of them would play basketball in college". My son said no one inquired about playing college basketball, so I'm not sure what the point of that was. They were called "disgusting" because someone left a napkin and a piece of popcorn on the ground. My son and his friend were the oldest in the group. I observed 7-10 year olds. I get trying to be hard on kids to motivate them, but belittling someone is not the way to do it, especially at such a young age. What really bothered me was a trainer told the kids, "I got 2 hours of sleep last night and had to get up and come here for you guys". Apparently, the owner did not share the $200 it cost each kid to attend with the trainers, and he was a volunteer. Again, something you do not say to kids.

But my child has been going to this school for a while and everyone who works here are so kind, gentle, and warm hearted with my child. I am so thankful for the way they treat my child and other children there. (Better than the old school my kid used to go to) I can completly trust them. I hope this school will have more kids come here. Try this school out and you'll get what I mean.
