This is by far her favorite sport and the only one that she has been consistent in. Learning gymnastics has been a big confidence booster, helps keep her in great shape, and has her practicing the moves she learns in enjoyment at home. She really enjoys SSGA, the coaches, and her teammates. Luckily the owner has done a tremendous job in going above and beyond to keep the gym clean and safe for all involved during the pandemic because it's been her saving grace, the only activity she's been able to participate in and community outside home and school.

My son's normally confident friend looked crushed on the second day when I picked them up. They went on to tell me the friend was pointed at and made fun of the way he moved his arms. He was told what he was doing was wrong, but not shown the right way. One of the trainers just responded "wrong", everytime he didn't like the way a kid did something, and again did not show them the right way. The entire group was told by the female trainer that they "all were terrible at basketball and uncoachable". She furthermore went on to say "none of them would play basketball in college". My son said no one inquired about playing college basketball, so I'm not sure what the point of that was. They were called "disgusting" because someone left a napkin and a piece of popcorn on the ground. My son and his friend were the oldest in the group. I observed 7-10 year olds. I get trying to be hard on kids to motivate them, but belittling someone is not the way to do it, especially at such a young age. What really bothered me was a trainer told the kids, "I got 2 hours of sleep last night and had to get up and come here for you guys". Apparently, the owner did not share the $200 it cost each kid to attend with the trainers, and he was a volunteer. Again, something you do not say to kids.

My daughter tried it out a little late and lets just say the attention and instruction she received were incredibly underwhelming and maybe even judgmental at times. They run hundreds of kids in and out of these programs so you and your child are treated as just another number nothing else or more. They act like they are gymnastics gods gift to this great earth but its just gymnastics after all not Harvard or yale.

We've tried 4 different local gymnastics places for our daughter (due to moves and convenience of…read moreclass times) and this is #2 of 4 on our list :) Obviously, as most people know, this gym has awesome and committed instructors with deep roots in the sport (my husband took classes here when he was a kid) who truly have an interest in teaching your child, but the whole "waiting list" thing because they're so busy (we waited for almost 2 years to get a spot), insane parking situation (wintertime is a nightmare), and cramped viewing space for parents is just unbearable. If you're ok with dropping your kid off or taking a lesson on a non-busy day (if there is such a thing), this place is great. Otherwise, I recommend heading 1 or 2 towns over and finding a gym with just as good instruction with less headaches.

We enrolled our child in the beginner swim class in 2021. The particular instructor's methods are not only brutal but unnecessary, if not entirely counter-productive. Our child, who loved the water and had basic swimming competency prior to beginning ended up extremely fearful of the water and we spent the last year trying to undue the damage caused by SR&F. We know we are not alone as all of the other families pulled their kids from the class before we did due to the harsh and counter-productive training methodology. Worse yet, when we spoke with management to explain the issue with the instructor, they appeared to not only already know of the issues but to back the instructor. Save your time, energy and money and go elsewhere where your kids can actually learn how to swim in a safe and supportive environment.

Everyone is so nice and friendly and it is a really fun place. When I first joined, Chris was amazing and he introduced me to other Pickleball players. I've had so much fun attending Pickleball clinics with Barb and Jay and I know Chris and Bill manage the tennis and paddle tennis lessons. They are all amazing and patient teachers. So glad that I joined SRF!

Best facility/apparatus, most clean, best location, parking, viewing spots for parents, and instructors, who really seem to care about teaching the kids. There aren't long waits to use the apparatus during classes like we've experienced at other gyms. The kids rarely stay idle. The front desk staff is friendly and tries their best to be accommodating with regards to getting you into the class time you're looking for. We've only been there a couple months but looking forward to seeing our daughter really grow in the sport!

I go to Metro South Gymnastics Academy from time to time with my friends for their open gyms on…read moreWednesday nights! The gym is always kept super clean. They have plenty of equipment available, including: tumble track, rod floor panel, trampoline, foam pit, uneven bars, multiple balance beams, and more. Open gym cost is $15/person on Wednesdays 9-10pm (18 y/o+, participants younger than 18 must be accompanied w/ parent) I have taken a class here before many, many years ago and remember that I learned my back layout here! I got the skill the same day, in one private lesson session. As for open gyms, I typically attend a couple times a year... before, I used to go every Wednesday night. It's always a great time; the staff is friendly & super welcoming. I highly recommend MSGA for anyone looking to take gymnastics classes or simply to utilize their open gym ;) **plenty of parking available.

I send my 3 year daughter to the beginner class. She really enjoys it and gets specialized…read moreattention since the class is very small. Each week she seems to be getting better. At first she didn't do the exercises stretches but now sits and does some of them. The older kids have gym teams. The academy is fairly new only being open a few years and still growing.
