They expected students to check in periodically but never answer phone calls. Practically it is your child alone working on trying to get assignments done that are never explained to them. The staff, when you actually speak to them, are rude, unprofessional, and uneducated. I am not sure where they find these teachers and principals but it's definitely not people that should be certified to teach or work with children. They are all thugs. They are also a scam of a school. The school does not count as education and therefore if your child is transferred somewhere else they will repeat the grade because this is not a legitimate institution. Do not send your kids here, it is a trick to make money off the government for your child. They do not care about your child's education. Do not make the mistake to set your child up for failure.

There's something nice about visiting old buildings, but add a little Reno pride to it and it only gets better. I was in the main gymnasium for most of the day, volunteering as a mock interviewer for juniors who were practicing their interview skills. The students here are diverse, in terms of their socioeconomic background, but all are respectful and exert a very nice level of maturity that is representative of a good school. Overall, it's a nice place and a school I wouldn't be ashamed of sending my kids to, making it worthy if five stars.

He came in struggling with different subjects and just got pushed aside. He asked for help and the teachers make him feel less than. I believe it was his math teacher who implied that he was "retarded". Moving through the school year he has displayed behavior problems as well. Who wouldn't, the adults he trust to guide him make him feel worthless so who wouldn't act out. I have dealt with mr Chubb calling me telling me that my child was outside being a nuisance when my kid was actually home in bed for the day. I know that kids will be kids and tell there side but a few things have made me believe that these teachers are indeed corrupt and show severe favoritism to certain groups. My recent experience is one of the students stole my sons backpack containing $400 and his iPhone X. My son tried defending his property and not only doesn't have his property back but he now as a black eye as well. I've left 3 messages for mr Chubb to call me back and he has yet to respond. This school is a joke and since attending this school they have managed to dim the light my son once shined. His self esteem and confidence has gone down the drain. If you complain to the principal over serious issues, he doesn't care, he doesn't even respond to you. There was a code yellow like last year and it should've been a code red cause people brought weapons on property and they wanted to cover it up. Other students and myself are the only reason parents got a call the NEXT day about it. There's too many details to share here. Even today I am terrified when the announcements sound comes over the speakers if it is at a random time. Many people at our school are aware of the stoners and vapers and they don't do anything about it. It's so bad that you can't go into certain bathrooms because those are the 'smoke spots'. As I did mention, I have had some wonderful teachers, so it just sucks that I have to complain about the teachers here as well. For this one teacher, in context (which doesn't make it much better) we talked about humanistic psychology and a criticism of it is that they are over accepting. Basically the teacher stated that "so if you ___ 4 year olds." Yeah, we all looked at each other disgusted like "Did he really say that? That's disgusting." That same teacher has also made very rude and snarky remarks to students. A very very controlling person. Some days I don't wanna go to school because I'm scared he'll make remarks about me and humiliate me in front of the class, he's already done it to me. After lunch, I think based on my experience, the upstairs bathrooms are a hit or miss because they are either locked all class period during 3rd period or open after 20 minutes. So if you really need to use it, Aunt Flo has arrived, or whatever, you're screwed until the end of the day if you're lucky enough to get to a bathroom. Honestly, if you want better education for your kids: go somewhere else. Maybe even go to Finland. Overall, can't wait to graduate because this has been a rollercoaster if the rollercoaster was barely on the track, had no seatbelts, and was on fire. Edit: Another thing, they just told us a week ago that we could be staying till 4:30pm for the exam, which would be ok, IF they told us like a month ago. So now the teacher basically said to just take that day off from work, for students who work, when it is probably too late to say anything. But the problem is, I have an off campus that day (which I worked s hard to get) and the purpose for that off campus is to help my dad because of medical issues. They literally told me I can't do anything about it so now I have to figure out 1. How to get home 2. Where to put my stuff 3. How my dad will get the help he needs.

This new system is so difficult to figure out and I don't understand why Manogue found they needed to switch it. This is a small issue that over time I know all families will just need to learn to love the new system. However, not only has the school's tuition gone up, which causes more financial strain on families but they have started to charge for little things, most recently they have started to charge a $100 schedule change fee. This is absolutely absurd. This is a small request on behalf of a family already paying so much money to attend Manogue and they have the audacity to charge us $100 to try and change a class. I cannot believe that they have gotten to this point. Very disappointed and saddened by this.
