I must say that I was disappointed that all of their meat is Harris Ranch now. WTF? Cheaper prices at Nob Hill. FYI. I asked the counter person for a ribeye. He asked, bone-in or boneless? The counter price said $25 per pound for bone-in. I didn't really care until I got home. Bone-in was $25 per pound. Boneless was $32 per pound. So, I had a custom cut of boneless ribeye at $32 per pound. See pic. Dude left on 3 ounces of fat on the cut. Guess I will get my best meat at Costco. I will NOT be back to this place.

After circling the quaint butcher/deli we made our decision and purchased the jalapeño cheddar sausage, garlic artichoke sausage, thick cut smoked bacon, beef short ribs and Asian sensation beef jerky. We haven't tried everything yet but the sausages were very good! We warmed them in a pan with a tad bit of water and enjoyed their snap when eaten. The jalapeño cheddar was mildly spiced and the cheese was oh so gooey goodness. The garlic artichoke was absolutely delightful. It had the punch of garlic yet artichoke flavor. Both are definitely keepers full of robust ingredients with great snap and juiciness. The beef jerky was the bomb with great zip and perfect texture. Next on the list to cook is the bacon for BLT's and short ribs on the Q for a Korean dinner. For a period of time, I was getting my wagyu steaks from Costco for a stellar price per pound when it was in-stock, but they stopped carrying it for a year and a half so it was time to find someplace else to get my wagyu fix. I decided one day to check out this carniceria after walking home from the local farmer's market and lo and behold, my precious wagyu strip steak was staring back at me whispering to buy it. You bet I bought the steak and on a whim too lol. It even came with a certificate of authenticity and a very nice paper bag! The market inside is very spacious and it's clear to me that they keep their store pretty clean as it did have a bleach-like odor. While their primary focus is selling various cuts of "elite" meat, they also offer a selection of marinated protein, and accoutrements. After securing the goods, my husband grilled that baby up and we devoured every sliver of medium rare goodness. It's fatty but in the best way possible and a little goes a long way in terms of getting and staying full. I will definitely be coming back here to try out other cuts of meat!

After pan searing and butter basting to finish, I pulled the steak at med-rare.
