Well beyond the PT itself, the vibe and atmosphere at this facility (and with the folks working) was as positive as any place I have been related to sports or medical facilities. Staff was unable to get authorization for me to get treatment at this office for a work related…read moreinjury. I was told repeatedly that I had a wrong claim number for the insurance. After stating I would go somewhere else, I was called back and told they found my claim number and I could come in. I had already contacted a different physical therapy company, who did what needed to be done to get me authorization with absolutely no issues.

My 89-year old father…read morecame out today to PT Advantage to trial a session on the super cool Alter-G gravity-reduced treadmill. Joe, the clinic owner, and a PT Aide (named Matthew? Shoot I forgot his name) got my dad all set up on the device and Joe stayed with my dad for the duration of the trial, offering him support, observing his movements, and answering my dad's many questions. My dad LOVED the experience. He was able to walk PAIN-FREE without worrying about losing his balance, for a full 20 minutes. He was thrilled. We can't wait to return for twice weekly sessions on the Alter-G!! Thank you Joe and the whole PT Advantage team. We had a great experience. As with any care center there are some clueless people. I blame the management of this place. from what I saw and after talking to the staff the training is little or non existent. I never saw anyone that appeared to be "in charge". Unless you have a family member sitting with the resident they get likely get ignored. My family member was slipping out of the wheelchair. When I finally found someone to help they didn't know what they were doing. No sense of urgency! The nurses told my family member to drink more water, but the water container was empty. The food is what you expect - horrible. I doubt they have a dietitian. Had to search for eating utensils that could be used since my family member has difficulty in holding a regular utensil. There are 30 patients for 1 nurse.The CNA's are thrown on the floor with little or no training and there is a lot of turnover from what I could tell. There was a day I couldn't find a CNA. I have seen worse and I have seen better. I sat in this place for a week and I hope to God I never end up in a facility like this. UPDATE! When getting my family member out of bed - THEY DROPPED HER!!! Go somewhere else besides Countryside Care Center.
