3 Texans Winery and Vineyard - Delicious Pinot

    3 Texans Winery and Vineyard

This place is an absolute must visit for any Texas wine lover!…read more Smaller vineyard sure but what they have is picturesque and gorgeous. Seating inside the 3600 square foot tasting room and bar area or out back along the vineyard seating and covered patio space. Take your pick and enjoy a wine flight or a glass. Wine apple cider, sangria, blush wine, frozen wine, dessert wine, and many other fantastic wines to please every palate. The Swag Cab and Roussanne really wow'd me most I gotta say. But everything I tasted was very good. The wine cider also really surprised me as to how good that was without being too sweet as many beer ciders are. The staff here are amazing. They treat you like best friends even on the first visit. So welcoming and kind, open and hospitable. It's cool to see how people come in here and just relax, chill out, sit at tables with charcuterie plates and bottles of wine to simply take a load off a socialize. It's the epitome of what a chill, easy going weekend should look like (and taste like). For being in business for not quite 3 years yet, these guys have their act together with great service, a great venue space and amazing wine across the board. Ya just gotta go here and see it yourself.

We stopped here on the way from mother neff state park on a Sunday. The indoor seating area is…read morereally nice, lots of patio space too. The menus didn't include any tasting notes other than dry or sweet, and our server didn't really know much about the wine. We tried a build your own flight and a mocktail though. Nice place to grab a glass of wine and some charcuterie after a hike. The chilled white wine blend was our favorite, however, the reds (made from their grapes) we tried missed the mark. Not sure we'd come back for the wine.

I loved going dancing here! I think it can feel a little clique-y at first, but really everyone is…read morevery friendly. I went every other Friday to the Ballroom Dance Nights (BYOB). The other Fridays they had Country/Western dances. These are open dance nights, sometimes 12 people show up, sometimes 70-100 people. Only $5 per person to get in, something like 7PM-11PM. Sometimes they have special parties, which are a lot of fun, like on holidays. The Halloween party is just great, and you can win free lessons. And occasionally the place is rented out for private parties. You just have to check their calendar. It is available for weddings and I think it would be great for a wedding reception, particularly if you could get the staff to stay and liven up the dancing. The people who go here really vary- some people were high school age, especially home school students, soldiers from Ft Hood came sometimes, older people also. One person I met was 90 years old, and a very good dancer. Really anyone who appreciates ballroom dance. You don't have to be very good either (and they offer private lessons) because people are very patient and will usually help you learn at least the basic steps. The music is good too, some old stuff some new. Cumbia, line dances, tango, swing, foxtrot, Lady Gaga, MJ, Nat King Cole, if you can dance to it they play it. Also they take requests sometimes through the email list. The place is in OLD downtown Temple, on Main Street. When I went there alone the management would walk me out to my car in the evening sometimes, as it is dark and deserted there at night. The building they are in is really old, with a dance floor, stage, wooden floor, tables, bar (no alcohol, they sell snacks and soda, etc, it is BYOB), it used to be some kind of department store. The owners restored it, it has a great deal of charm. It has a second story window that a person sits at and DJs all the music. It is painted like an aquarium, which is funny. Anyway, if you want to hang out in a mature but fun place and meet lots of nice people, I highly recommend you check it out.

I plan on taking Swing lessons there soon.
