I had bought a GrabOne voucher for eye lash extensions which I was very excited for, considering that I am travelling overseas soon- thought it would be a good way to pamper myself but to my utter disappointment, Silk La Boutique's service had quite literally appalled me from start to finish.
As, I walked through the main door, two ladies sat at the counter. Neither looked up, or acknowledged the fact that I was there, then eventually one of them eventually asked me what I had come in for, and as I told her, she started conversations with the lady next to her, in what appeared to be their native language. I handed over the voucher, and she advised that she would go check if the beautician was ready.
As the beautician arrived, she asked me to follow her into the room where I was told to lye down and the eye lash extension process began. Twice, the lady used too much glue which made my eye stung, and when I informed her my eye was hurting, being defensive she said "Yeah, because you were opening your eyes". Which was a little rude I thought personally, because a) I wasn't opening my eyes and b) She didn't seem concerned that there was glue in my eye.
After 40 mins, I was told to open my eyes, and just as I guessed... My eyelashes were stuck together and I actually couldn't open my eye properly. Although the beautician fixed that by separating the lashes, it was still painful and not an enjoyable experience at all, and I would not recommend this place at all!
Having done my own research, I knew what I was going in for, and was waiting for her to give me suggestions as to what I should be doing to care for my new lashes, however, all I was given was a pamphlet at the end which did explain a lot of things, but had the beautician put in a little effort and seemed interested, I think this could have been an enjoyable experience and I would have returned.
Which definitely won't be happening. read more
