The building is located in the Thanksgiving Point area, down the street from the Younique Building. The building is massive and beautiful, very inviting. The president shared a beautiful story of how this organization started, which inspired my nephew to want to volunteer and share the message. We got to see the auditorium where our "dance recital" was shown over a projector, but the participants were able to get up and be interactive. What a great organization which is so valuable to the community! We need more organizations like this!

Getting together a bunch of women who have lived in secrecy , pain, shame and deep loneliness gave us what we needed as kids. Safety, belonging and a sisterhood of wonderful friends is how we left the retreat. THIS is a legitimate mental health organization, with specially trained therapists. It may seem scary, the unknown, but the truth is if you are unlucky enough meet the qualifications to make it to the retreat, you will be safe, cared for and given the tools to resolve what that abuse has done to your mind, emotions, spirit and body.

The kittens were always very well taken care of and you could tell that they came from quality foster homes. Very reasonable, adoption fees, spayed, and neutered and current on vaccinations. I've also had the pleasure of fostering kittens with Second Chance. The owner does what she says and supplies you with everything you need to take care of the animals. The commitments are not long and she is able to take the animals back as promised and on time. I recently was in there, and there was a woman trying to adopt a dog. It was obvious the woman did not have a home. The owner was not going to allow the woman to adopt the dog because she did not have a safe place for the dog to live. Although the woman was very upset, the owner was very professional and kind as she explained that she could not in good conscience adopt a pet out that didn't have a safe environment. percent she is concerned about the welfare of the animals. I will always refer people to them whether they're in the market to adopt an animal or if they're interested in fostering or volunteering there it's a great place with low overhead and a lot lot of love.!

The people who run this organization are incredibly charitable and put so much effort into these dogs and cats. I recently visited and they had three dogs available. They were happily running around inside their enclosures outside under the shade of the tree. There were lots of other dog runs/kennels that looks much smaller, but also like they were no longer in use. There were not a lot of animals to choose from-but maybe that's because they all found homes or were in foster homes when we visited. Hopefully that's the case-and they are getting closer to their goal of No More Homeless Pets!

I have a physical disability which is why I can't provide for my family and need help but the rules here are so hard to work with. A new rule has now made it so I can't go anymore. They have restricted that only one person go inside and I can't do the walking and shopping and I don't have one person that will be able to go every time for me. In the past I have just taken one person that was available to help. I don't know how single mothers that can't afford babysitters are supposed to come. You get one appointment time every two weeks and if your schedule changes or you can't make it you are out of luck. It is just too bad that help for those that truly need it is so hard to get.

I found Bridle Up Hope as I needed to put in community service hours towards earning my Black Belt…read more I previously volunteered at a therapeutic riding program back in Maryland, so I wanted to volunteer a similar place to help give back to our animal spirit friends as well as the women in this program. I loved the mission Bridle Up Hope (BUH) stood for, so I asked to sign up for service. Bridle Up Hope provides equine therapy and empowerment for women. They have a riding program in which women learn to work with, take care of, and learn to ride horses to help with confidence and self-esteem, as well as work through challenges in life. They have great seminars and workshops open to those in the riding program including the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, Yoga, self defense, and arts classes, among some of the activities and seminars. They offer scholarships for women to help with cost too, but the takeaways from this program I'm sure are priceless! My niece enrolled in a program similar to this, and she left with much more confidence! Bridle Up Hope also has a boutique for BUH accessories and clothing, as well as a beautiful event hall!

There is not a boring inch in the whole facility as they even decorate their employee access doors with intricate art work. Tasteful planters everywhere. The employees and volunteers are helpful and friendly. Such interesting information on species and habitats. A shout out for their café. Reasonable prices for delicious food. It was $13 for a pub smash burger and drink and fries. Only a couple of bucks more than a #1 at In-N-Out. It was really tasty! Bun was homemade delicious. The fries were exceptional. Crispy outside and creamy inside. Garlic fries. My wife had the Romain lettuce something bowl with pulled pork. She said it was excellent. Very generous portion as she got full half way through. My son then scarfed it down. I also couldn't resist and had to buy a chocolate cupcake. Very moist and the frosting was real frosting, not the yucky, airy stuff that grocery stores put on their sheet cakes. Pretzels are amazing. We did the ECCO virtual reality "ride." Of course, not anywhere near a Disneyland level of a ride, but it was informative and interesting and fun. You can do the ocean or Amazon river experience. We did both. This is free and included in your admission. I really like how they put benches to sit throughout the facility. When you visit such places, you get "mall legs" and sitting down is a respite. Such a great place to have nearby. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience.
