Here - they must be scheduling wizards because on the three visits I have had, I was checked in, sat for about a minute (ok, maybe 5... maybe) and was then seen by the assistant and then within minutes the physician. An appointment that would have taken my close to two hours previously was like 20 minutes. I LOVE THAT. I'm a pretty boring patient and I might…read moreget sick once a year but Dr. Ham still went through the whole gamut of questions asking about sleeping abnormalities, headaches, joint pain, allergies, asthma, family medical ailments, thyroid problems, orthopedic problems. He took the time to ask me several times if there were things that I wanted to discuss with him which I appreciated because I did have questions that I forgot. At the end of my visit, he gave me directions to the lab near his office and answered my questions about fasting before the test. He could have easily passed me off to one of his staff to answer those questions but he didn't. When I first arrived, the receptionist was on the phone and had me sign in but didn't give further direction. I sat around for a few minutes wondering if she was going to provide me with paperwork once she was at a good stopping point with her task, but she didn't. Finally, I asked one of the nurse practitioners who showed up around reception if I needed to fill out paperwork and she gave me a clipboard. There were a few elderly couples who may be longtime patients which could be interpreted as proof of a good family doctor. The receptionist told me that Dr. Ham inherited the practice from his father and that he's "well liked." She said Dr. Durr joined the practice about 6 years ago. There was a waiting list the receptionist was calling for patients who wanted appointments. If you're looking for a doctor, Dr. Ham is accepting new patients. In case your insurance doesn't cover stuff or you have a co-pay, bring your checkbook or a wad of cash. No credit cards. The office only accepts physicals on certain days. A regular visit is 15 minutes long and a physical is 45 minutes so make sure you communicate what you need to the receptionist when scheduling so you have enough time with Dr. Ham or Dr. Durr.

In the portal I listed 3 things I would like to discuss. When I arrived the doctor stated that I would have to make 2 additional appointments to address my concerns because she had other patients and needed to see them too. She didn't even look at my chart to see that I had just given birth. I complained about a mass growing and she examined me and stated that she couldn't feel anything so she couldn't refer me to anyone. I also asked her for some medications but she refused to prescribe me anything and stated again that I would need to make another appointment. I left the office with a $400 doctor bill despite the fact that she was rude, dismissive, and unprepared. I then received a call several weeks later from a clinic about an ultrasound for a mass, come to find out she referred me to the wrong doctor who specialized in abnormal growths related to the throat and my mass was located in a different part of my body. Go somewhere else esp if you have any health issues or allergies. Mystery pills they prescribe i don't approve of at all. Waste of money and energy and ended up bed ridden for 2.5 months due to several adverse reactions to their " treatments. " Too much to get into but in brief the pills interfered with medications I take to live and function, this is most recent. Last year anaphylaxis twice from the random stuff taken. If I had the energy and time ( which I've lost due to their practice) - I'd possibly bring a suit for malpractice. Fortunately for them, I was robbed of both. Just to note I take full responsibility for agreeing to take stuff the company wasn't even sure of the effects or ingredients . This being said, after the first reaction i agreed to substitute something else, same issue. This is after telling the practice my health issues , meds I have to take to stay alive, and endless allergies. At one appointment the physician was not aware a suggestion she made contained a certain ingredient. That's malpractice at worst , or simple ineptitude at best. Footnote- I take responsibility for continuing to try different drugs despite the doctors several mistakes. ( they were aware of what I could/couldn't do and the medications I have to take to stay alive. I figured I'm already in maybe see where this goes, huge mistake. ) Several times. Then at one appointment made a suggestion I had to correct. ( that enzyme landed me in the hospital last year. I looked your suggestion up it's almost identical ). " oh yeah" If that's not incompetence the patient knows more than the physician I don't know what is. They couldn't bother? Or are merely incapable? Who knows.
