After the…read moreinitial contact with James the owner 7 weeks before the event, I was pleased with their choice of menu and was keen to go ahead. After several phone calls and emails I was unable to get a confirmation of the job and was getting nervous that I had nothing in place and was not even asked for a deposit. I thought this was strange, but was reassured by James that everything was arranged. By the Friday afternoon before the Sunday lunch, I again spoke to James and by this stage realised that Treat was not even planning to come as they didn't even have my address. I was so stressed as I had nothing else in place and I was panicking and running around trying to find a caterer in the last minute. I have never experienced anything like this and would hope that this never happens to anyone else.

This was another one of those random cafes that I visited on my way into work. I'm surprised surprised more places don't offer something similar. Neither the manager or staff were friendly or engaging here. There was no attempt at conversation on entry and ordering or on exit. No enquiry about my experience at all. There was little or no warmth evident. Good service is critical. It was all a bit flat for me here. Perhaps it was the cold, grey and wet Melbourne weather. But, I can't see a reason to return here.

They went down the street to get more food but it just didn't cut it. By the time they returned people had filled up on bread rolls. We had one vegan and when i contacted the company on the phone to ask what they had for the vegan they said they supplied halloumi skewers.. i then had to tell them that halloumi is goats cheese and therefore not vegan! you would think a catering company should know that!
