On June 2, 2025, my family and I went for routine dental cleaning at Signature Smiles at Conroe, TX location. My son was referred to their Orthodontist and we decided to go with a second opinion. They refused to provide us with digital copy and provided a blurry hard copy of his X-rays. After consultation with Orthodontist at another location we were given a referral letter to remove 4 molars for him. I requested a estimate of the cost of the 4 molars to be extracted from Signature Smiles and it was over $1,200, so I decided to go to another office where the cost was $241.00 well below Signature SmIles. I figure they are over pricing me since we didn't go to their in house Orthodontist. I decided to change dental office in fear of retaliation. The new office asked for x-rays to include full mouth series since my insurance was charged for that at Signature Smiles. Signature Smiles then printed and scanned x-rays to my e-mail. I requested digital copies since the once they provided are not serviceable for a proper examination. They stated that they were not even though on the top right corner it reads "Printed from "FRONTDESK02" by Fontdesk" which they refused to acknowledge. I called them and they e-mailed me the scanned copies again and not the digital copy they stated that's the way their system provides copies. Our new dental office stated those scanned copies will not work for proper diagnostic for each family member. I even called MetLife Dental insurance and they confirmed charges for x-rays for each family member and panos. I called Signature Smiles with my dental insurance representative and they send me scanned copies of the x-rays from their printer again. They have refused to provide me with digital copy which to me this is petty and unprofessional. read more

I had been a loyal patient to Signature Smiles for several years, even after we moved out of down I still continued to make the commute over an hour one way to their location. However, after today that will change and I will not be going back. My issue lies with the fact that they took a deposit and had me sign a contract for my daughter's braces even without actually applying her braces. They never reached out to issue a refund of the deposit nor did they bother to mention it at the time of our appointment. My daughter was not able to get her braces due to needing to be seen by an ortho surgeon and needing a tooth surgically removed. They have been nothing but friendly, empathetic, understanding, and fun to all of us. I had a fear of getting dental work done from previous dentists and had to get more done. My husband had a toothache for a couple days and with it being on a Friday when he decides he can't take the pain anymore I started looking for a dentist for him to see first thing Saturday. Signature smiles was able to see him right away and thank goodness they took out insurance. They were able to give him something to clear up the infection and something for relief and set an appointment up to do a root anal. Plus he doesn't have to pay everything upfront. This helps us tremendously. As everyone we are struggling. Everyone from calling to make the appointment to the front desk to the dental assistant and dentist were exceptionally nice. Today I show up for my appointment on time, to signs saying that patients need to call and notify them that you've arrived, and wait in their car until they call you back. DO NOT GO HERE- if you're okay with unprofessionalism and LIES, then sure, this is your place. Also, I previously posted this review but it was removed by the business...interesting. I chose to go here because I saw the pretty pictures they flooded they're account with and thought, "they don't look too bad." But, it's a smokeand mirrors show folks. After being promised many things, I scheduled an appointment to have my wisdom teeth removed. And from here it goes downhill real fast. The meds never kicked in on the day of the procedure. I was set up to a machine to monitor my heart rate and blood pressure and thought surely they're getting ready to give me anesthesia that everyone talks about getting when you get your wisdom teeth removed. Nope. Just nitrous oxide, a very weak gas that did very little. In fact, I had so little pain meds that I FELT EVERY PULL AND BREAK OF MY WISDOM TEETH. I HEARD MY TEETH CRUMBLE AND CRACKED AS THEY WERE YANKED FROM MY MOUTH. THATS RIGHT, I WAS AWAKE MY ENTIRE WISDOM REMOVAL SURGERY. MR. BRIAN STANWORTH DOES NOT KNOW WHAT HE IS DOING. As tears rolled down my cheeks, he would ask me if I was ok as if a major procedure wasn't being carried on with me wide awake. In fact, since I was awake, I heard him catch himself. He initially told the assistant to go get something but quickly corrected himself saying that another person had to be in the room for legal reasons- this was interesting and made me extremely uncomfortable. Not only that after crying and enduring excruciating pain I was told that they were not going to do the previously agreed upon plan of taking out all wisdom teeth at once. NO COMMUNICATION WHATSOEVER about that until after the procedure. Terrible. The absolute worst experience I've ever had. Once I got into the car to go home, I started bawling as my swollen, bleeding mouth ached as I was unable to tell my mom of the horror I just experienced. Later, my "healing" process was extremely slow as I later got an infection. Because the employees here and especially Brian Stanworth are too CARELESS and UNPROFESSIONAL, there was no post-op appointment in place until I called, concerned about the suspected infection in my mouth. As expected, there was an infection, maybe it was due to the tacky and subpar surgery skills or maybe it was due to the extremely limited information as we were given NOTHING AND TOLD NOTHING. As he quickly dismissed us with the regular antibiotic prescription, we were very DISPLEASED. Rightfully, we were adamantly upset. Because my wisdom teeth were crushed into tiny pieces, I guess Stanworth let a crushed piece remain in my mouth and even get stitched up into my gums. Yes, that's right a piece of my crushed tooth got stitched back into my gums. RIDICULOUS. HMMM, MAYBE THAT'S THE CULPRIT FOR THE INFECTION??? Who knows? But I definitely will not ever be going back here to find out!! So thank you to the whole staff of Signature Smiles and especially Dr. Brian Stanworth for being the absolute worst dentistry establishment on the face of the earth and causing insane amounts of pain unto unsuspecting and lied to patients. Long Version: I share this experience and point of view confidently as I was in this exact same role month prior w/a family member at a different practice which was a 180 of this. Signature Smiles is a New dentist office tucked in a strip mall on FM 1488 just west of 45. Nice, wow factor on the interior and newness, but other than that - nada. Front office and staff appeared and acted as if right out of a subsidized fly-by-night dental training/school.. started upon my initial contact with them and solidified while sitting in the waiting room ... from phone mannerism to cackling within earshot, to being clueless when asked basic caregiver-type questions. I was brought back to patient and beyond disappointed upon seeing and hearing of the train wreck that went down. Signature Smiles sealed their Coffin with not only the train wreck they created but again when NO attempt or follow up was made to either Patient or I at any time thereafter following procedure...huh? This was concerning since they wrote multiple prescriptions for patient, with 1 being a full bottle of a controlled pain medication. If you're into a pretty practice that has empty chairs (in the front and back of establishment), unprofessional staff and Just looking for a routine cleaning or filling .. this may be your place. My experiences at this establishment have been terrible. I came there originally due to pain in my molar and I was overdue for a cleaning. In my initial visit they realized I was going to need a deep cleaning, refills on some fillings and they recommended me to get a scan for a night guard. the conclusion from my exam was that I might just be grinding my teeth at night and they looked no further. We scheduled my filling and my deep cleaning to all be done in one appointment the following week so I would only have to have anesthesia done once. They gave me a quote on the total for the services to be $711 AFTER "checking what my insurance covered" and they tried to get to pay in advance before getting the pre approval with my insurance and that they would just refund me after which I refused to pay until I checked with my insurance because it did not sound right to me but I did pay a $50 deposit to hold the appointment. I called my insurance and they told me they absolutely covered 80% of all of those treatments and id actually only pay around $200. I checked back in with them saying they had requested the preapproval and all would be set when I came in. I come in today and they told me my total for the day was $254 (not including the $50 deposit I had paid) which still sounded high but I paid it and come to find out they had only scheduled me for the filling and not the cleaning and the scan. After speaking with them in detail it turns out they never even charted my cleaning which was the main thing I needed to fix my gum which mind you turned out was infected and the dentist and dental assistants some how missed that in my initial examination. The lady proceeded to tell me she hoped I would bring in my pre approval which I have never had to do because then why did you bother requesting it from my insurance if you do not have it yourself. So what my insurance told me is I would not pay more that $200 for both the night guard AND the fillings and these people just over charged me for only the fillings, never even gave me estimates for the cleaning and were now telling me I would have to pay an additional $300 for a deep cleaning and $100 for the retainer after I brought in the preapproval so they could collect on the rest. On top of the dentist ignoring me after I informed him that I had an infection in my gums that I had to take antibiotics and pain killers for. These people have no idea what your insurance covers and will try to over charge you ahead of time on the promise they'll return whatever they over charged. They give you inaccurate information do not do their due diligence and now I am having to deal with my insurance to get reimbursed what I was over charged for today and did not even have my main issue addressed. Some of the staff at the front do not wear masks nor do they enforce it in their lobby. I felt not only unsafe and disregarded but that they only cared to try and get as much money from me as possible without even bothering to find out what my insurance actually covered. There are so many other dentist in the area, after our families ordeal I would advise to go somewhere else. It's fancy and new but I can't say the patient is treated like a person but a problem and number. Go somewhere else, where they will look at the overall picture and know your name. I had a cleaning with a dentist 6 months prior who said everything looked alright and didn't need work for another couple years. We switched to SS because we moved. Though the cleaning was pleasant SS told me I had 7 fillings that need to be put in. Showed me pictures and advised these could get worse soon if not taken care of. Well since I am not the professional I trusted their care. Had the fillings done. Then the same situation happen to my husband. So he sought a 2nd opinion half way through the fillings. The 2nd opinions were that he had stains and yes because of the grooves of his teeth the stains could grow into cavities but they were fine right now and advised to not get them filled. We spoke to SS and it's been hell getting money back on the half of his teeth that did not have the fillings complete. We call, they don't answer. We leave messages they don't call back. I have been with this dentistry for 2 years now and after number of deceptive billing and dishonesty charged I'm calling quick. Make sure you question every charge. It's not in their interest to be transparent and up front about the charged. Here is one example I had with them. When I arrived for my appointment the front desk told me I owe them $55 for my regular cleaning service. I asked why since they have never ask for in the past 2 years. She said, it's just one time for the whole year. To make the story short, I was given another explanation by account lady after I demand detailed. The point here is you have to be at on full alert when you visit this is place. We as a customer should not have to be put through this deceptive practices. And yes, my wife had to uneventful run with their hygienist and so call doctor about services she need when it's not required. I had a crown put in back in 2018. Crowns typically are supposed to last between 5 - 15 years. I've had a few done here and was advised yesterday they do not guarantee crowns after I let them know the crown had fallen off again. This one has come loose a couple of times now since I received the permanent. The first time it came loose it was re-cemented.I had mentioned to dentist several times during my cleanings about the tooth feeling weird and buildup around the lining which he explained was normal. The manager at the front office said they have no records of this. When the crown came off the first time they recemented it. Well the crown came off again. Dr. Stanworth does not want to consider any responsibility on their part that this may be a recurring issue due to fit, cement or bonding material that wasn't strong enough to hold the crown in the first place. They are trying to charge me to look at it and another charge for replacement/recementing. Their records do not match with what I had done. I was hoping that they would waive the visit fee due to reoccurrence on the same crown but they denied my request claiming I had my permanent crown back in 2018 and that they do not guarantee crowns. I am checking with my insurance because something doesn't seem right regarding how they are filing the claim. The manager at location claimed she did not see any records that I ever went in to have the crown re-cemented which is not true. I should not have to pay a single dime to have the dentist check the work they have done and figure out why it keeps coming off and make it right. They also claim this may have been caused due to grinding my teeth but I have not had any other issues with the other crowns I have except for this one and I wear a night guard as the dentist had advised I can purchase from local pharmacy. Also the grinding they mentioned were affecting my front teeth not the very back ones. I'm very disappointed they are choosing not to make this right. My next step is to check with my old insurance to make sure everything was submitted correctly once I receive all my dental records. The office Manager "threatened" if the insurance came back and denied the claim due to incorrect information submitted by their office that the dentist would come after me for payment. Not the service I was hoping for and very disappointed they do not want to make this right. When I had insurance they were happy to help but now that I don't they could care less. I have some issues with my smile that have made me very skeptical of going to dentist but I finally decided to do something about it and wound up here First let me say. This place was beautiful, very clean, office staff was very pleasant everyone I encountered was AWESOME. But. The sad part. I met with a dentist and we agreed on a treatment plan for me and some other things. I was excited and so ready to move forward. I gave my info to one of the girls at the desk for another appointment and she told me they'd get back with me once they heard if my insurance approved the treatment plan. I called in a few weeks later. Nothing. I had to call in again and they told me I needed to call my insurance. No problem anything to help. I called them and they told me something along the lines of "there hasn't been anything submitted" This is where I gave up. 1. Having to call to get an update 2. Finding out nothing had been submitted Really didn't sit well with me. It has been months now since this has happened and what's crazy to me is I still haven't received a call from them or anything to check in or let me know ANYTHING.I was due to come back for a deep clean I didn't hear anything about that either. I'm leaving this review for the company to hopefully read and use as a learning tool. It took me years to work up the courage to finally say. Hey let's fix my teeth. We used to go to the one in garden oaks and when they let me know this one opened up we were so excited. This family dental office is even nicer than the first one. We live in magnolia and we're so happy that they opened up in Conroe woodlands area near Jacob's reserve. The pediatric dentists and the best and could accommodate our family of four kids and my wife and I. We have blue Cross Blue Shield dental ppo. And they are in network. I would like to start off by saying this facility is poorly operated and managed. I am one of the clients of the Garden Oaks location that just recently shut down, and there is still no explanation to the closing. I have tried to reach multiple locations via email and phone call and they have all failed to meet my exceptions when trying to obtain my dental/orthodontist records so I can continue my treatment with another specialist. I am also missing a $300 refund from previous services that had not been completed, but were charged to my card on file. All Garden Oaks clients received a mass email on Monday, January 20th that informed us that this location has closed and shut down without an explanation, and were all directed to the Woodlands location. I called on Tuesday, January 21st to resolve the issue and obtain any dental/orthodontics referrals. I spoke with Crystal (one of the receptionist at this location) she did mention that all locations were separately owned, and that they were still trying to get records from the Garden Oaks location. Don't get me wrong, I completely understand where they are coming from, She directed me to send an email and that I would receive a response within the next hour or so. It is now January 23 and have yet to receive any response. I did try to reach out to call the facility again, after my phone call was declined 3 times. On the fourth attempt of calling, surprisingly they did answer the phone this time but was asked to be put on a brief hold. I was on hold for 15 minutes, I then ended the phone call, and called again where Crystal answered the phone in a agitated manner. I told her that I had wanted to talk to the manager on staff and she said the manager "Princess" was busy, and continued to provided me with her email (Princess@mysignituresmiles.com) if i had any issues. I was explaining to her my problem and that i was needing to speak with somebody in the management department but was not very helpful, sounding very apathetic towards the situation. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever received, I hope nobody has to go through all these unnecessary issues, if they're even going to be open in business by next week. My lawyer has also been advised of the situation, and is coming up with various ways to determine the next step to take towards this unfortunate situation. read more

My husband and I both had horrible experiences here over a timespan of about a year. At first, I thought it was just a bad day, but then my hubby had pretty much the same experience....from being there for hours just for a basic exam, rudeness and incompetence of front desk staff, dental assistant not knowing how to do the xrays, to never receiving a treatment plan or follow up, finally getting treatment plan after multiple requests, to asking for medical records multiple times, even after coming in in person, being assured records were sent when they were not, calling multiple times and being told records were being sent right then yet they never did! The worst dentist I have EVER been to or taken my children to. the dentist is a liar!! over heard him YELLING at the staff that he gave me some paper work regarding my child's procedure. he never gave me any paper work to sign (it wasn't in our file) and he NEVER told me any information on the procedure other than she'd be sedated but "not fully asleep" OK! after being disrepescted and not treated like a patient I decided that I do NOT trust this guy to do ANY work on my child. so we are switching. the front staff was SO unhelpful and they said they'd call to schedule appointments but they NEVER did. it was always me calling to schedule appointments and follow ups. they're quick to take your money and don't like to make eye contact or make you feel like they even care that you're there. read more

When you make an appointment you are basically making an appointment for an exam, not the treatment you will need. For example, I made an appointment for a small chip in my front tooth. They did the exam and then I had to approve the treatment plan and since they had time, the chip was repaired. 2 days later the filling fell out so I made a second appointment, making it clear what the problem was. Went in, was examined and then told they didn't have time to fix it and to make another appointment. It's bizarre to me that you can make an appointment specifically for a chipped tooth, waste an hour waiting for an exam to confirm the obvious and then be told they don't have time to fix it. Worst dentist experience I've ever had. Clearly understaffed and over-rescheduled. Will go somewhere where my time is valued. read more

My visit to this office was horrible! Dr. Stanworth has awful bedside manner. This is a pediatric office and he has no interaction with the kids or explaining the importance of brushing your teeth when I voiced my concerns he called me back and he just said is she OK? Are the fillings falling apart?Then I did my part! He never took any concern, He was very rude and he just blamed the nurse said they should've told me that he doesn't stay in the office to talk to the parents after a procedure. I believe it is sad that he didn't take in part and blamed his staff. Your business is as strong as ur employees ! Also when you try to get in contact with them I was on the phone waiting for at least 45 minutes they never have people answering the phones or getting back with you honestly I wouldn't take your kids here! read more

I am very surprised to read so many negative reviews about Dr. Stanworth, since he was always very professional when we went to his office. However, I do have a problem with the front staff! Especially the lady in charge of looking at patient's insurance benefits and making sure that she is giving us the CORRECT information on what our insurance covers and what it does not. I recently got some fillings changed in this office and they told me all you gotta pay is this amount and your insurance will cover the rest. Long story short, they called me a couple of days ago saying that I owed them $400+ because my insurance had lowered their standards and they did not cover part of the treatment. I called my insurance and the lady I spoked with said they had no lowered their standards, and that the benefits have always been the same, an that in fact the person in charged of reviewing the dental insurance benefits should had seen that my treatment was mostly covered by insurance on my front teeth, but not the back ones. So over the phone I tried to explain the lady in this office that it was not my fault that they had made a mistake and that I should not had to pay anything because that was clearly their mistake not mine. So this lady told me that she was going to look over everything and give me a call back which she never did and today another girl called and said that if I didn't pay, they were going to send it to collections. So their mistake, is somehow my problem "nice". With all this being said, I would not recommend anyone to go here and if you do, make sure they are giving you the correct information. We had been going to this office for about 4 years, getting our teeth clean twice a year which many don't do, and any other treatment we needed. I use to go to signature smiles on the heights and thought this one was as good as the one in Houston. But Dr. stanworth i would not recommend for your child. He is harsh on your kids and not kind at all.! My child's teeth are now a disaster and I now have to take her to a different place because her teeth are cracking after he sand them down too much or something. read more

Everyone is very friendly. Visits are quick. They were the best value when searching for braces. Affordable with payment plans available. The dental assistant Brian was friendly and helped us understand the process of braces. Glad I found this place. read more
