In my case it was 3 months wait , ok because they tell you that, and they did ring me just before Christmas and arrange a first appointment, when I went there, and a final one when the items I needed arrived; an evening one ! I know people whinge occasionally, but they are so busy ,that I did not expect to hear early this year for the original assessment. But they fitted me in after Boxing Day Bank holiday last Year!

Our checkin went well and we got a minor upgrade as Platinum members to a room on the 9th floor facing the city. Fortunately, the weather was much cooler than it had been in previous weeks only highs in the low 70s and 50° at night so opening the window helped. Also, the AC did work though I'm sure it didn't work well when it was in the 90s. We also requested a fan to help and they did deliver a very large tall fan, which was absolutely great. Unlike others who complained about the elevators, they were both working while we were there - no issues. But they probably need more elevators for the number of rooms. The bathroom is tiny and it appears the toilet flushing mechanism is a problem in the whole building given the signage. They are hard to properly flush. Finally go to breakfast before 7am and avoid the crowds. They do need to mix up the selection - four days of the same thing gets a little boring. The price for London was reasonable but not inexpensive...

We arrived early and were told to wait but that they'd have a family room ready for us soon.... 3 hours later I walked up and they assigned us a room on the 7th floor. We ended up switching rooms as this room smelled moldy and the dish washer was leaking. It did have a great view of an apartment complex with a courtyard. Our new room assigned was 508. Although it was a much better room and has two windows. This family room had a better view. We were in a corner room. Unfortunately, the linen room door used by the staff next door, banged incessantly from about 6am to 9am. It was horrible!!! I did not have one good night of sleep. Also, the bathroom floor needs a deep cleaning as the grout lines were stained. Now location was great for proximity to the Underground (Earl's Court) but horrible for restaurants. We were very close to a Tesco though- which has groceries and clothes etc. we want to the hotel's included breakfast once. It was pretty good but quite busy. The staff were great and kept the food coming. Would I stay here again? No, but would I recommend for someone on a budget, yes.

So last Saturday was the first time I stayed the night here and I managed to find free parking outside the main entrance and was greeted by friendly staff and offered some help taking my luggage to my room. The only downfall at that point was there are no lifts and the directions need to be clearer as I felt I was in a maze . Once inside my room there was a lovely amount of space, a sofa bed, a double bed, a desk area as well as a table and surprisingly a fridge! Unfortunately my fridge wasn't working and a member of staff had to double check this and offered a bucket full of ice! Being a IHG member I had complimentary wifi! The only down fall was there wasn't any ceiling lighting only lamps which made the room a little dark. Now my second visit was amazing, once again I managed to get free parking outside the main doors and greeted by friendly staff at reception where this time they knew I was a IHG member and offered me a sweet from their basket and offered help with my luggage to my room! Only probably this time I ended up walking for ages and the receptionist could have told me to walk to the other stair case as I ended up walking around the building. The room was equally as exquisite as before but this time the fridge was working! Being a IHG member I was also offered a 2pm complimentary late check out which was appreciated and I ordered room service and I had spent £30 for a three course meal but the food was slightly cold but was very tasty! I have to admit reading the previous review had put me off booking here but they have redecorated the bathrooms and the sofas have a bit of wear and tare but it's value for money.

No surprise or shock so I'm assuming this isn't the first complaint.
