The QEII has an amazing location and some not-too-shabby views depending what floor you're on. We've hired the QEII for events of varying size, so we've used the main hall, 3rd floor and 5th floor conference rooms.
3rd floor layout for what we had was nice, with a straight layout, rooms on end for coffee breaks, main hall had the same. The 5th floor was a bit tricky as there was a bit of a maze feel to it and the pillars made for a tricky floorplan, but in the end it worked out all-right.
I'm thinking they've updated some things since Karen's review as I felt it had a fairly modern appeal. There's also a business lounge on the ground floor for copies, etc... you can park underground and haul things to your car, there's seminar space outside the main hall, it's a really well thought-out space that does what it says on the tin. They've really got the client in mind and have the accommodations ready for what you expect throughout your event. The staff were great with helping haul rubbish and shipping/packing materials out.
We continue to use the QEII for our flagship fairs, and for good reason, it's easy to get to and it is a workhorse for professional events.
There's not a ton nearby in the way of lunch venues, but you can take a short walk around Westminster and find a sandwich on your break. read more
