I have been to two different locations, but they were both gorgeous spots, like the look and vibe is top notch. The drinks? Kitschy and weird as hell. Do they taste good though? Live up to the price and the hype? YES. 1000% The drinks are fun and funny and most have some sort of little quirk...color changing, in a weird vessel, tasty sweet garnishes, etc. But they also all taste amazing. Some are a show to watch them being made, some are diy mixed at the table by you. I was brought here the first time by a family friend who lives in London, and when I returned a year and a half later, with our hotel around the corner from an Alchemist, I made ALL my friends on the trip go here on our first night. And we all returned at least once more during our week in the city. Service was good and patient with our large group, food was decent...I simply have had an amazing time every time I have gone to the Alchemist and if there was one in my hometown I would be out of house and home giving them all my money. Highly HIGHLY recommend.

The location is fantastic, the customer service was excellent, and the atmosphere made for a really enjoyable breakfast. I started with a cappuccino and added salted caramel, but honestly, the cappuccino was so good it didn't even need it. It was smooth, rich, and perfectly made on its own. For breakfast, I ordered the Eggs Benedict. They offer two versions: one with pulled beef and one Florentine. As someone from the US who's a bit of an Eggs Benedict snob, I've tried countless versions over the years, and pulled beef just wasn't something I could picture working with it. I went with the Florentine and customized it by adding bacon, avocado, and a side of sausage. One thing I've learned while visiting the UK is that the sausages are much larger than what I'm used to back home! I honestly could have skipped it because it was so filling. The Benedict itself was unique--the base was almost like a buttery croissant instead of a traditional English muffin, and it came with pickled red onions, which was an interesting touch. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly, and I especially enjoyed it with the added bacon. The food was fresh, high quality, and beautifully prepared. There was plenty of seating both inside and outside, but I chose to sit outside and enjoy some people watching, which made for a relaxing start to the day. Overall, a great breakfast spot with delicious food, excellent service, and a wonderful atmosphere. I'd definitely come back.

The view from the 29th floor was good. Not great for pictures though the light pollution and reflection from the glass makes good pictures of the skyline impossible. Tonight they had dancers, the champagne tasting, and photographers. Uninspiring DJ. I think they're trying to use pictures from tonight to for their promotional material, ads, website, etc. Don't fall for it. I'm lucky that we didn't pay full price for the experience but really. To be honest the food was average at best. I find it impossible to believe anyone would ever pay £97 for a brunch (even with two free drinks and an impressive view). The roast was akin to a school dinner, the juices all from concentrate (not fresh), and the interior exactly what it is, an overnight pop up restaurant that only operates on Sundays. The selection of stations was limited, with roast, eggs, crepes, and desserts being the only ones available. You would get a better brunch at a three star hotel anywhere in London. However they seem to have got their marketing right, having pre sold over 5000 of these vouchers in advance for the next three months (what's that twelve Sundays?)..someones making a few bob, never going back, but I doubt that bothers them the way they market themselves..

Date: August 28, 2026…read more Experience: Our hotel was booked through the travel agency we were with, so we were dropped off by the cars they sent to pick us up at the airport. Check in was smooth and the card keys were cool since then are wooden. Lifts were inaccessible unless you scanned your card key, so that provided an extra sense of security. The room felt really small since the hallway leading to the bedroom was narrow and the fold out bed we had in the room barely left enough room for my mom to sit at the desk that was a foot away from the bed and she is a small person. The hotel room had various towels available, dry cleaning, robes, complimentary water, tea, and coffee, and we were supplied with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and lotion amongst other things. Lights, curtains, and air conditioning can be controlled by control panels across from the restroom and by the beds. The shower was nice with an overhead shower head that felt like rain falling and the shower door can slide back and forth between using the shower and the toilet. The bed was comfy and I had decent rest considering I slept late. The breakfast buffet was on the first floor and pretty good with various types of foods from different countries available too, such as congee from China and hummus and pita bread from the Middle East. They had options to make your own yogurt, cheeses, meats, fruits, bread, eggs, baked beans, ham, sausage, and more. They had various drink choices ranging from juices, infused water, tea, and coffee. They also had a small section for kids to get cereal, but I saw an adult grab some too. We could've figure out the toaster oven since it wasn't working continuously, so there were abandoned pieces of bread left in the machine. The congee and the sliced melons were my top faves as well as the redberry drink they had. We did come back to the room in the afternoon and walked in to see a carrier of cleaning supplies by the sink and we saw our beds already made. Then the cleaning lady came in to give us more water bottles and a towel as well as to get her cleaning supplies. Originally, we were trying to locate a door hanger to tell them not to clean since it was a mess, but didn't find one. But later on I found out from a friend that we had to click a button for cleaning service on the same wall panel across from the bathroom.

The food was plenty and delicious. I ate it all at 2am. Definitely recommend the chicken wrap..oh and the hotel!!

So...does this society have anyone you've ever heard of? Hooke, Newton, Pepys, Wren, Darwin, Huxley, Faraday, Babbage... Basically all the minds that shaped the path our country and world have taken... the minds behind the engineers of the industrial revolution. And right now The Royal Society is funding research, meetings and outreach to shape the 21st and 22nd centuries too. You can't join without first being nominated as like one of the best scientists ever or something. But you CAN visit the society for wonderful public talks, presentations from young scientists from around the country and for historical exhibitions in the disgustingly gorgeous libary. Have a look on their website for event schedules. I know I'm a geeky scientist, but trust me... I've only ever enjoyed my visits and so will you. The Kohn Centre in the Society recently hosted a talk with Douglas Melton, the Head of the Harvard Stem Cell Institute. The set up matched perfectly with the event, from the reception hall exhibition to the paintings on the Centre Walls. This led me to explore the venue hires... Surprisingly such a luxurious place, with 1500 fellows including 70+ Nobel Laureates, it has a modest cost for public venue hire, esp. those with charity status, compared with those of the Royal Institution of Great Britain. Although a membership only working place, the Society opens to public with limited guided tours and a serious of interesting public lectures. These are the last days of the Exhibition: "The Royal Society: 350 Years of Science" featuring a number of treasures from the Royal Society's extensive collections of archives, rare books, artefacts, and portraits. I particularly liked the women scientists section. It is a fortune that the society offers library facilities (70,000+titles) free to public (registration required) and the reading rooms have wireless internet. Imagine one works there with full inspiration from the greatest minds :-) "To expand the frontiers of knowledge by championing the development and use of science, mathematics, engineering and medicine for the benefit of humanity and the good of the planet." Finding the Ministry is easy; all the entrances and lines are clearly marked outside. We had purchased tickets online, and we entered incredibly quickly as a result. Once inside, it is a massive area. The Gallery, the area you enter into, was playing house music and had a huge bar. The Box, where the artists were performing their sets, was clearly marked. The Box had arguably the best soundsystem I've ever experienced at a club, no exaggeration. I think their dedication to this endeavor shows. The bass is booming, the sound is clear, and there are plenty of lighting and smoke effects. We had a great time in here, but don't expect to hold a conversation - this is a room purely for the music. And boy is it something to behold. A smaller room was the baby box, and this played primarily remixes of pop songs with EDM mixes. We spent a LOT of time here. Very fun, not very crowded. Drinks were good and reasonably priced. (Though I'm American so I'm not sure what the standard is.) Obtaining an Uber after was easy and the location is very easily found. Overall, I definitely want to return in the future.

The lounge room upstairs was so crowded that you could not access it at all during the night. All of the music was EDM, which after being there for hours was mind numbing, with no break. The bar felt safe for the most part, metal detector and searches to get in, lots of security in the building. They have a few VIP options with seating in the main bar area and VIP upstairs. Drinks were reasonably priced. The crowd is slightly young, I would say predominately 18-21. I would recommend not showing up until 12, we showed up around 11 and the club was dead. The main artist (Dillon Francis) did not even start until 3am which I found to be way too late. Overall, cool experience while visiting London but couldn't need to return. Main floor is accessible, top floor there are stairs to access 1 room and VIP area.
