She is a loving mother with many years of childcare experience. She prepares healthy meals and snacks for them. My children have fun learning through play structure, which she implements with lots of fun educational toys and games. She has excellent communication and is very reliable. Our children are always excited to go to her in the morning. I feel good knowing my children are happy and safe in her care. I highly recommend Loving Arms to any parent looking for safe, quality in-home childcare.

First, I think it's important to start at my tour, because that was my first experience with this…read morefacility and it made a HUGE impression. I went for my tour with my very, very challenging 10 year old son who has low-moderate functioning autism and my 6 year old son. I had been in a childcare facility just down the road earlier in the day where they treated my autistic child like he was a monster with a disease that they would catch, and then treated me like I was a criminal. This had been compounded with a really awful week of personal and professional challenges, that had left me more raw than usual. I walked in and they were instantly kind to us. I have to be honest, that is actually a very rare thing for a parent of an autistic child. And it could not have been more needed, than at that very specific point in time. They went out of their way to make me feel comfortable, helping me with resources for my autistic child (whom I was not actually putting in their care), and enlisting someone to watch my older son so that I could actually take the tour with my younger. I walked into what would be his classroom and was able to observe the teacher, whom had the FULL attention of all of the students, asking them where their "scapula" was. Most daycares, in my experience tout that they work with our children on educational activities and curriculum, but having 5 children (ages ranging from 16 to 6 y/o), this has rarely been my actual experience. While I was reading through their paperwork, kids were beginning to get ready for snack, each playing their role in handing out plates, forks, and snacks. They included my son instantly, and were so welcoming. I first refused a menu as part of the packet, as I have ALWAYS refused facility and school meals/snacks. I've instead chosen to pack my son's meals and snacks, so that I knew the quality of what was going in his mouth (really, all my children). But, after finding out that they employ a chef on-site whom makes foods from scratch, using whole, nutritious foods that are not frozen and pre-prepared, I was again impressed and we decided to try the snack. Due to my older son having a melt-down, I had to return later with the completed paperwork. When I return, I again witnessed all the kids in that classroom working together to clean up and do their part. Each seemed authentically engaged, appearing to care about each other and the team-work of this activity, and the teacher was completely engulfed in attending and full engagement with them. Now, fast forward to my son attending and he absolutely LOVES going there everyday, including their snacks and food :), and is super sad to leave. He's learning, excited, growing, and has almost exclusively positive things to say (he's 6, so asking for all positive is really unrealistic :) ). Every single experience I've had with them has been exceptionally positive. I can't rave enough about this place and I'm so sad that while it's full of very happy children and parents, it doesn't have ALL of their positive reviews to support it. Seriously, go check it out. You won't regret it. My only regret was waiting so long.

So Rodney had talked to me and apologized for their hostile personalities. When I mentioned this concern to my son's teacher Ms. Shauna, she just says " they have a lot on their plate" So I layed off started bring in treats for them to cheer their miserable selves up, to which NOT ONE Person THANKED me. I brought them all coffee one morning. I bring in activities to do with the kids. I volunteered my free time for an hour and was planning to do more! Started staying there with my kid for a half hour after drop off because he screams and I wanted to see why. I witnessed kids kicking and throwing things at other kids pushing each other and hitting fighting over the ONE sink they have to wash their hands. They overworked the 3s teacher with only 2 staff to 25 Kids in that one class!! Of THREE YEAR OLDS. The teacher assistants are constantly changing. Drop off is supposed to be 9am but staying there I witnessed many parents coming in late so I didn't rush on Mondays when my child gives me the worst time! It's such an emotional thing for me to leave him screaming and crying and just for me to walk in and be threatened this past Monday if I can't have him there by 9 then they won't take him.. So I broke down and started crying because it's just all too much and pulled him out of this daycare. They responded by calling DES and telling them he got kicked out! My poor child does not deserve that! What is wrong with you people? Grow up!! I was trying to be nice! Why are you so miserable? GET ANOTHER JOB!!!
