Sigmund Thun Klamm is a gorge that features a wooden walkway through it. The gorge is very picturesque. There are lots of places that are worth stopping and taking pictures.
It is touristy. During our visit there was a bus of high school aged kids that arrived right at the same time as us. The walkway isn't very big so manuevering through the crowd was a bit stressful especially as they were moving faster than us. Once they had passed, it was a much more relaxed and serene experience.
The gorge is easy to get to via public transportation. There is a bus stop right at the gorge entrance.
Outside of the gorge there are some really stunning views. I'm talking blue lake water at the base of a mountain.
Overall, I am glad we made the gorge a stop on our trip. It was well worth it despite the crowd. read more
