During our visit there was a bus of high school aged kids that arrived right at the same time as us. The walkway isn't very big so manuevering through the crowd was a bit stressful especially as they were moving faster than us. Once they had passed, it was a much more relaxed and serene experience. The gorge is easy to get to via public transportation. There is a bus stop right at the gorge entrance. Outside of the gorge there are some really stunning views. I'm talking blue lake water at the base of a mountain. Overall, I am glad we made the gorge a stop on our trip. It was well worth it despite the crowd.

That being said, if you're looking for something inexpensive to do while in the area, it's worth considering. Admission was under €9 per person (around that price), so it's a pretty cheap activity and a nice way to spend a little time outdoors.
