Our daughter started about a little over 2 1/2 yrs ago, clearly she has been able to exceed the expectations of the program. The tutors kelvin and Eric have really design and evolved the math and science program so as to have students become inquisitive and much more interested in Mathematics without being afraid to ask questions. My daughter, Alexis has been able to solve challenging problems in advance placement math for H.S. We couldn't be happier with the results our daughter has archive thus far. Mega Academy is the pinnacle of a money grab, experts at swindling money from parents trying to build a better figure for their children. Inherently, there's nothing wrong with prep school, but Mega Academy is notoriously known for being one of the most expensive in Flushing, when there's truly no justification for it. The premium you pay for this school comes with below average to mediocre teachers, practice exams/homework photocopied from books you can buy on eBay, and quite frankly an elitist attitude from management. I will never forget the time one of the owners brought in a former mega student and TA, boasting about how he managed to get a job at UBS, as some sort of motivation to high school kids who didn't even know what a derivative or M&A was. I managed to sink hours of my life into this place, learning little to nothing. My parent's wages were spent on photocopied homework that was reviewed the next day by your average DOE high school teacher who might've been your math teacher a few weeks prior. No, your premium doesn't pay for the cream of the crop. It pays for the house and cars of the owners. Rest assured any success I have experienced post-college will never be attributed to Mega Academy. Maybe the best thing to come out of this place were the friends I made, but if I just wanted my kids to socialize, I would've sent them anywhere else.

My son, who…read moreis now in his sophomore year, going junior next year, has been looking for a SAT review school. Since I am that kind of parent, who gets involved with my son's school activities, I did the research. I called all the Sat review schools at Flushing, read all their feedbacks, and I made careful choices which one to choose. I have been choosing between ClarityEd and another 2 schools nearby our house. Since, ClarityEd is not as near to our house and he still needs to take bus, I really prefer the other school which is few blocks away from our house. Then, I called ClarityEd, and made a schedule to meet the teacher. My son and I went on 7/2, Saturday, and classes starts 7/11/2016. I spoke to the teacher and, Oh my. I was so impressed the first day I met him. Just by talking to him I already knew, this is the one that I am looking for my son. He showed us all the outlines of what he is planning to teach to the children. Then, he showed us in the computer an example of the book that they would be reading, including the underlined word and how you can get an idea the meaning of that word by reading the sentence. I was so impressed that I don't want him to know that this is the school I am looking for. By the way, the teacher also has a Doctorate degree. But, I did not pay that day, because the other school is, too be honest, is less expensive by $200, than ClarityEd, and much nearer. I told them, my son & I will make our decision by next Saturday. Then, I called the other 2 schools and just by talking to them over the phone, I don't feel that their background education makes any sense to me, and upon hearing what they told me that they treat students like friends and they make barbecues, and outing... I told myself, that might be more fun to students. but not much of learning. When I asked what schools the children went to after taking the reviews, he told me, he does not keep record of them, etc. To make it short, we chose ClarityEd, and it was one of the best decisions we made. Just for the 1st day of school, my son already told me, how he likes his teacher, and how he explains everything well. My son even told me, that he asked his teacher why some of the things he is teaching.. he never learned at school, and his teacher laughed and told him the reasons. I really like the feedback I heard from my son. So far, this is his 3rd week, and he told me that he is really learning a lot, and he said his teacher, can be very serious but sometimes, he gives some jokes too. The most important, my son is learning, unlike the other Prep school, wherein I read reviews that children are not learning, rather, just seating and getting a lot of home works. By the way, my son brings a lot of homeworks too, but, he is learning and understanding a lot, from his teacher, that is the most important to me. So far, I cannot share the SAT score yet, as he has not taken the test yet. Worth every penny I paid for.. I fully recommend this School to those who are looking for a good one, and those whose ultimate goal is to learn and be able to have self confidence to take the test.

ClarityEd has PhDs teaching the advanced classes and all classes are taught under the guidance of PhDs. The faculty are also so humble, soft spoken and down to earth, truly academicians. My son told me how well ClarityEd taught the basics and what a horrible job his school did. I am happy that my son is happy. My Son got a 790 out of 800 in the official SAT Subject Physics Test ....... I cannot ask for anything better. My son also prepped there for SAT last Summer, received a score of 1540 out of 1600.
