I have been seeing Dr. Scandiffio for over 15 years in this office (Sayville). She takes her time examining my eyes, and she explains test results in a way that I can understand. Her patience and knowledge have put me at ease. Today Denise, a technician, assisted the doctor by checking my eye pressure. She also measured my distance vision and put in some dilation drops. Wait times in this office can exceed 15 minutes even with an appointment. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable about insurance plans. There is a free parking lot behind the building, but it only has 17 spaces that fill up quickly, so I usually have to park in the adjacent Chase Bank parking lot, taking the chance that my vehicle won't get towed away. read more

they tried defrauding Medicare, claimed I had cataracts but my Eye Doctor said I did not have cataracts. They were just going to fix my vision and claim I had cataracts to get money by committing this fraud on taxpayer expense. I actually turned them in for Medicare Fraud. Highly highly recommend you go some place else. Appointment was at 11:05am, waited 20 minutes, no problem. Technician that took us back was unprofessional, as she whispered about her to other staff, and not very helpful as my grandmother uses a walker. A separate technician decided she did not need an image taken because it was too much trouble to move her to the other seat (I could have assisted but they insisted I stay in the waiting room). Then we get into room with the doctor, no introduction. Sat in there for maybe 5 minutes before the appointment was over. They must close at 12pm for lunch because we were rushed out of there without a copy of the prescription we asked for. Absolutely will not go back ever again. read more

Brought my mother in law there today where she was dilated and sat for over an hour while employees were having a coffee clutch and NOT attending to patients seen 4 other people walk out as well for same reason!!! Old man with a walker was a sad sight!!! Never will I return her for my Mother in law or myself who was looking for an eye surgeon Now I know where NOT to go!!
