So far so good,i have a appointment at the Smithtown location but my eye has a "horror flic" mind of its own lately.I needed a walk in emergency appointment (sat 5 hours at the er locally..and geeze). I was given one within an hour.The office isn't crowded and my info came right up in the computer..so no telephone book of paperwork.Ample seating and a few televisions.This location is definitely bilingual. read more

I came here about 6 years ago for my Cataract surgery. The doctors and staff were so accommodating and caring. At the same time they discovered I have wet Macular Degeneration in my right eye. My Optometrist, Dr. Vivian Renta-Skyer, is part of this group and is the best in the world. The Retina Specialist Dr. Edward Marcus became my Primary Doctor there. I have been going for eye shots since then and he is very caring and thorough. The process is painless and I feel very comfortable there. I know it is a long wait, BUT well worth it to get excellent care and attention. The staff is also spectacular. read more

Holy cow!! The wait at this office is insanity! Everyone waiting realized we are all waiting for elderly patients that are forced to wait in another holding area for 3-4 to be seen! Patients schedule appointments with this provider only to wait 2-5 hours or longer to be seen. This problem is ongoing for more than 2 years. SightMD medical practice is on the decline. They do not seem to want to make changes on a corporate level but physicians are continually pushing costly elective surgeries on patients but, neglecting the bottom line patient wait time is part of patient care and allow patients to wait in office for a simple visit or go to an out- patient facility and have to wait 2-5 hours or more to be seen is deplorable and in acceptable. At minimum patients should receive a courtesy call stating the doctor is delayed. The goal of this business is clear MONEY driven. read more

I've been to the Amityville and this location. This location sucks, straight up. The wait is ridiculous. It seems they overbook and it's a little chaotic. I had to a COVID test today before my procedure and it wasn't the usual guy David. First they scheduled my appointment for 8am when he wasn't schedule to show up until 8:30am. Then another woman came out and did the test and it was the most violent COVID test I have ever had. This is the first time I felt a lot of pain and she caused my nose to bleed. Been getting tested since this pandemic and have been tested multiple times and this is the 1st time I have ever experienced this. read more

Do not come here. We scheduled a routine checkups that was supposed to take 15 minutes far in advance, and then were left waiting for over two hours. After finally getting into a room, we were then left waiting for another thirty minutes before the doctor finally came to see us. She was lovely, and she herself even said she would never come to this location for her own appointments. At the end, we were then left waiting ten minutes just to get our prescription. During our time in the waiting room, two people went up to reception to complain about similar wait times. read more

probably one of the worst docto offices I ever been to. waited for 3 hours because the staff said I left when I never left my seat. Got in the chair and Dr. Nichols barely looked at my eye, was in the room less than 2 minutes, didn't want to do a procedure he had done on me last year because it was close to closing time. they provided no help with my situation, I wouldn't recommend anyone there. read more

The service at SightMd was exceptional. The staff was friendly and assured me during the pre op for my cataract surgery. Dr Rosenberg is great surgeon and explained everything to help ease my anxiety. The center provided transportation to and from for the surgery and Rubin the driver was so kind and helpful that I felt in good hands. read more

Do NOT go to this place! They overbook appointments, you will wait for hours until you have to complain.The doctor asked me to give this place a 2nd chance, instructing me to tell the staff I need to speak to his assistant when I arrive. So I did just that. I asked 2 different times to let his assistant know I needed to speak with him/her. No one ever came. I wound up leaving. 3 incompetent and lazy staff members sat around the front desk but not one offered to go in the back and get Dr. Nichols assistant, even after I told them the doctor himself instructed me to ask for the assistant upon arrival. Unless you have hours of endless time to spend waiting around a crowded filthy waiting room, I strongly suggest you do NOT go to this subpar place. That being said, although the place is a dump, Dr. Nichols is a great ocularsurgeon, who removed my eye mole. This review is NOT a reflection on him, just the facility. My next appt with Dr. Nichols is at his Amityville office. If you have an appt to see Dr. Nichols at the Brentwood SightMD spot, cancel it, and see him at one of his other offices. read more

Worst place to go always overpack always waiting hours doctors do more damage to your eyes then was there originally. Doctors to stay away from in this group Dr. Edwards Marcus Dr. Nichols Dr Avani they are all fools they all think they're smart but you know what they do more damage to your eyes than anything I've sat talking to patients while waiting hours in their waiting room to see the doctors when they overbook all the time only to hear horror stories of how these doctors have messed their eyes up doing simple surgery like cataracts. Dr. Marcus has messed my eyes up really bad I am now see a retina specialist in Manhattan just to get away from this group I'll pay the extra money to keep my sight while they were making me go blind read more
