The receptionist is so selfish and rude, why would you bother making an appointment with her…read moresnapping back at every question? There is no sense of customer service or coordination of care and definitely not a hint of any desire to help. The burden is on you to do everything (e.g., check insurance coverage with referrals, fax medical records, update their office listings in insurer's directories), so I wouldn't trust physicians who don't check for quality in the staff they hire to do nothing to attract and retain patients except make their lives miserable simply because they can get away with it. I'll take family's health and business elsewhere. Someone who treats patients this poorly can't possibly reflect well for the physicians caring about someone's health if they let this pass for customer care. I don't even want to imagine the potential nightmare of dealing with staff who have no sensitivity for dealing with seniors and their complications.

Don't try to advocate for yourself here or they'll have the SCPD there to escort you out…read more I was given the name of this practice and an individual doctor by my insurance company less than 10 days ago. I was permitted to book an appointment with this office less than three days ago. I was confirmed for that appointment less than 24 hours ago. To be told at 7 AM this morning when I walk into the office, but they no longer accept my insurance their office never notified me and as a patient of almost 20 years, I could pay out-of-pocket to see my doctor or basically go screw. You can imagine how that could be physically upsetting so when I never threatened anybody in the office and never used any foul language, but was visibly crying, trying to advocate for myself because I would love to know if I'm walking around with pneumonia As I'm working it out or thinking I am with the office manager being told that they dropped the ball and it's their fault. I have poor Suffolk County police officers walk up behind me to escort me out when I was never asked to leave, but to the contrary, asked to hang tight while they figured out what they could do for me. To treat a patient who is begging for medical care as a criminal while you lead her to believe that you think you're helping her just to leave Heard a law-enforcement is quite honestly disgusting and despicable. I'm reporting the entire facility to the medical board. And they just lost multiple patients who have been their decades before Catholic health ever decided to slap their name on that building and they were just a mom and Pop family medicine place. They actually gave a crap about their patients!

Also, every time I go, the secretaries tell me that my appointment is a different day/time. EVERY TIME I GO! So then I am left with waiting 1.5 hours for a bus ride home, for I cannot drive. They are unorganized, so I stopped going there and switched to Stony Brook Hospital Hematologists. I first tried seeing Dr. Yelda Nouri. She quickly stated something briefly. Then she rushed me out the door. I tried to ask some questions. She replied in about five words. Then she left the room to make more money by seeing more patients. She does not care about patient's health; works only for money. Dr. Nawaz is brilliant and kind, yet runs 45-60 minutes late. The Patchogue location has poor quality sensors for the water to turn on in the restrooms. The water turned on for only one second, off four seconds; on again for one second; then no more water at all from the faucet. I have never experienced such poor water sensors before. I almost began to bleed caused by so-called blood specialists. They seem to have no idea what causes eczema. My fingers within two minutes became cracked, peeling and almost bleeding from this location. Patients with eczema, beware. In general, NY Cancer and Blood Specialists has some good doctors, some not so good, and the quality of everything else is poor.
