The care & love she received from the staff was unmatched by any other facility we tried previously. We never worried about her well-being whenever we traveled. Our dog never gave us so much as a glance goodbye when we dropped her off .

My sister, Raven and I, both poodle mixes, enjoyed hanging out in the great room overlooking the Lani and dozing wherever and whenever we wanted. Our host was great, even though we only got to spend the day with her while our peeps went to an art fair, we miss her already. I overheard that the money spent was well worth it and I hope we will be able to visit again soon. We live in a motor coach and we're staying at an RV Park - we certainly recommend the owner, Kathy, and her son, to take exceptional care of your pets. This is my 5 star review for Four Paws Doggie Day Camp!…read more I have had dogs for years and have tried almost every doggie day care and boarding facility in Bradenton and Lakewood Ranch. They were all okay and basically the same. The dogs milled around staff who often weren't paying them much attention, there was crowding of dogs in spaces so small that getting good exercise was difficult. Staffing was difficult and often staff didn't stay very long. BUT, I discovered Four Paws Doggie Day Camp, on Gates Creek Road. Heike and her loyal, well trained and friendly staff have created an environment in which dogs thrive! There is lots of room to run, play, socialize and learn good behavior. Big dogs and little dogs have their own fenced in spaces. Each group gets individual attention and lots of affection. There are many little pools for a quick dip and multiple shady places for a little nap out of the sun. It's a dog paradise! Heike and her team will help with behavioral issues, too. When I had an issue with Buddy, Heike and her staff worked with him and with me closely. I learned so much about him that I never knew! These folks are kind and compassionate in their care and discipline.

AND, she has best friends among the other campers that she truly enjoys., along with the camp staff who love to play with the pups, encourage good behavior and friendliness and and shower love over everyone, every day! Our girl has learned to be a kind and reliable playmate with their encouragement and direction. She loves to run with her pals across green, well cared for fields and always under supervision. Heike, the owner, shares her training insights and helps to curb possible bad habits, making sure that all the pups are healthy and play well with one another. The staff is watchful and kind, well trained too and I feel completely comfortable leaving our girl for 2 hours or the whole day, she is never bored! Thank you Four Paws, you are a gift to pet owners!!

Canine Academy is great! We can enjoy our vacations and family events again worry-free again…read moreknowing our German Shepherd is in great hands. We were recommend to Brian from our breeder after not getting great signals from the first place we took him to board (lost weight, not excited to go in when he arrive, loose stools after pickup, etc.) At first we weren't sure if it was separation anxiety or the facility.. but what a difference after we tried taking him here. He actually gets excited to see Brian and excited to run in the play yard when he arrives. Super clean facility and very large indoor / outdoor kennels gives even our 90 pound shepherd plenty of space when he isn't out in the play area. While we come in from Tampa to bring him, I'll take the drive every time knowing he is enjoying his 'vacations' now as much as we do!
