And everyone else says they "beat the price" of other people, yet why was it $200 to just air out my car???? Did they get my car working? Yes, for a day or two. And now it's back to messing up again (not their fault). For $200 you'd think they'd have replaced a part or something, but nope. Also, they were supposed to call before they did any work and let us know how much it would be, and they did not, they just did it and expected us to pay, which was BS. I am tired of these repair shops overcharging me for repairs that don't even fix my car. I mean, $200...to dry out my car? Really? I get charging me like $40, but $200????

I purchased a 2005 4runner from Nicholas a couple weeks ago. He seemed nice, fair, transparent, and…read morehonest over the phone. The pictures he had of the vehicle made it appear in great shape with little to no rust. He was charging a huge premium for the 4runner, which made me think they must have done some extensive work to it before putting it on the market. Boy was I wrong! I accepted delivery about a week after purchasing the vehicle through Nicholas online. The 4runner smelled like dog, had less than a quarter tank of gas in it, and the rust is just really bad. The rims are rusted and bubbling, the frame is rusted, the engine, transmission, axles, nuts, bolts, clamps, all rusted. Nicholas sold me this vehicle that needs extensive work, knowing I was planning to use it to move my family and I when we PCS from California to Colorado. I can't believe an American business would do something like this to a military family. I wouldn't recommend boutique motors to my worst enemy. This 4runner is a huge stress/burden on myself and my family both mentally and financially during a time when we've already got so much on our plate. As if moving to another state wasn't expensive and stressful already, we have this to deal with. Shame on you Nicholas! I hope it was worth it for you.

The owner, John, was very upfront about expectations, and said it could possibly be in the $2.5 to $4k range if another rebuild and expensive parts were needed. After he had a chance to take it apart to inspect, he determined the main problem was that it needed a new solenoid body. He replaced it, along with some other work, and the cost for parts and labor was a fraction of the initial rough estimate he gave. The best part is the T-Bird shifts great now and is a joy to drive again (I can put that V8 to good use now :) John was honest, fair and really knew what he was doing to get the job done right (and, as a side note, a really nice guy to deal with).
