Came in for some wine tasting and had a great time! Their sparkling wine was amazing and highly recommend when you are in.

Wonderful and friendly atmosphere. The Barbera is wonderful. Great spot to relax and enjoy a tasting. Family friendly which is nice. They even have coloring books and crayons for the kids.

Love, love this winery! Impressed with the first contact on Yelp and the great follow up and through. I called last Friday to inquire if they were going to be open. (CA under major smoke and fire). They expressed not sure, really smokey! Phil Starr texted back 15 min later and said they had a lot of requests to open and they did for the 29th of August. Call ahead of time b/c the fires are cray out there! Try the Chardonnay there is one that tastes similar to Rombauer, excellent wine, we bought two bottles. I don't enjoy Chardonnay very much but this was great and I liked it a lot. They had several others that were great and I bought some reds. The servers inside and serving outdoors in the back were great and very knowledgeable. You can bring food to snack on, just bring your own supplies of course. Great little shop for Knick nacks, wine supplies, glasses and of course their award winning wine. We'll definitely be back next time we are in town.

Great little winery on Main Street in Grass Valley. Did a Groupon for two. You get 5 tastes each and a free bottle of Petite Sirah.. The place is super cute and was built in 1872. Back in the day half of the winery was a cigar making place and the other half was where they actually sold the cigars. When you walk in you feel the history as you walk on the old floors. The red wine was very good and not to sweet, but bold and somewhat fruity. The Chardonnay was very Oaky and buttery. Sierra Starr Vinyard is a must stop when you are in Grass Valley. I bought the Almond Sparkling wine.... so yummy and refreshing.

Surprisingly, this winery has a champagne on the tasting list (which is the cheapest on the list!) I thought the champagne was very refreshing, but almost a little too dry for me. I skipped tasting any of the red wines, so I can't review any of them. I wasn't super impressed with any of the whites, but none of them were bad either. Tasting is complimentary.

The owner cares deeply about both the pub and her customers, and the wait staff is always attentive and friendly. Super nice all around. The FOOD is way better than we expected for a pub. Everything we've tried is delicious--but I particularly have to recommend the bread putting. It's PHENOMENAL. This is definitely a low key, fun, local spot. Unassuming, no pretentiousness, great spot to grab a bit to eat and a few drinks.

After our table mates were served we sat for almost 45 minutes before we were notified they lost our order AND the special we order had sold out. Yet, even after they told us they were out of chicken they continued to serve the special to the table next to us. After we selected something else from the menu another 20 minutes passed before we were served. The CA Cobb salad was about as big as a side plate and hardly any chicken and the hamburger was overcooked and WAY over seasoned. 2 hours from walking in the door to getting served. They tried to make amends by comping our meal..I understand restaurants can run out of food but when you "run out" you serve the people who put their order in 30 minutes before the latecomers are served. The event was good but there is EXTREMELY limited parking. The interior was hot as it didn't seem like the AC was working at first. Bottom line- it's nice to support small businesses but this one needs some serious schooling in restaurant management.

Honestly it was cooked better than the burger I ordered for myself. Really like the truffle fries here but the burger was mediocre. We called right away, and while the employee apologized and admitted it was their mistake, the only solution offered was to "take it off the bill." That doesn't really help when you've already driven 30 minutes home and now have an incomplete meal. Mistakes happen, but how they're handled matters. Offering a refund doesn't fix the inconvenience, the time lost, or the fact that part of our dinner was missing. A better effort to make it right would have gone a long way. We didn't just lose money...We lost time, convenience, and part of your meal. A manager should have gotten on the phone and said something like, 'I'm really sorry, we messed up. Let me fix this for you.' A sincere effort to problem-solve, not just a refund. Really hoping more attention is paid to orders moving forward.

We ordered a house sausage pizza and to add the salami to the pizza which was a great choice loved the pizza we watched it get made right in front of us and their bacon and cheddar melt. I personally though the bacon and cheddar melt was fine I probably wouldn't order it again looking back on it just simply on the fact it was $21 and the pizza was $23 it just felt very boring and overpriced in comparison to the pizza. I do love the sustainability of this place but find it odd the water cups are plastic after all the effort put into reusable, sustainable, organic, and farm fresh It definitely eat here again especially with the fact the menu is always changing the pastries here were a hit every other table had something from the bakery or a pizza. This is a great spot to come on a date or with a bunch of friends. I haven't tried the brews here yet but I'm looking forward to it. The staff here are very sweet and food comes out quickly.
