Recommend visiting for their concert series. Great place. Kind of strange that they won't allow water bottles when you are visiting. I like to have my water bottle when I am spending an evening somewhere. The concerts are fun and personal. Maybe someday they will change their water bottle policy and understand that most people are good and if you treat all your customers like the bad ones, you will lose them. read more

I've been to Naggiar a couple of times for their summer concert events. The vineyard is gorgeous and the live music makes for a fun evening, but there are a few things I wish I had known in advance. The road leading in is unpaved and about a mile long, so drive slowly -- your car will get dusty, and in my case, a rock from the car ahead cracked my windshield. Tickets are on the pricey side and only cover admission; food and wine are extra. Arrive early or bring lawn chairs, since tables aren't guaranteed. The food truck lines can also be very long, so plan ahead. During one visit to celebrate my mom's birthday, I brought a small cake, not realizing outside food wasn't allowed. The owner asked us to put it back in the car and wouldn't let us sing or serve it, which felt unnecessarily strict considering how much we had already spent. Overall, it's a lovely spot and could be worth checking out, but I won't be going back after the birthday incident. Just sharing in case it helps others plan better. read more

We love this family friendly winery. It's nestled in a peaceful and scenic remote location. The owners are very friendly and make an effort to talk to their guests. The wine is fantastic. We brought our friends who are members at multiple wineries and they were so impressed that they ended up buying a few bottles. Some of our favorites are the black bear and viognier. This is my parents' current favorite winery local to them and they are always trying to get us to come here for one of Naggiar's weekend concerts. The time I visited previously was for a tasting (in rona times you'll need to make a tasting appointment), but this past Saturday I returned for CCsegeR with a group of family and friends. CCsegeR is a combo CCR and Bob Seger cover band, and they put on a great show. Tickets were $20 if purchased before the show, but they also had tickets available at the door for a bit more. We had made a tasting appointment for 4:15, hours before the show. Our carpool was late so this almost didn't happen, but the nice lady behind the counter let some of us taste a few different wines anyway. Bottles of wine continued to be available for concertgoers to purchase even after the tasting room closed. They also offered a handful of beers on tap during the event, including two local IPAs from Knee Deep and Crooked Lane. I liked the dry muscat, the rose, and the red blend I tried. I felt they did a good job as an event venue. It did get pretty busy around show start time, but there were enough staff to handle it. There were reserved tables and lots of additional space on the grass to set up camping chairs, which is what we did. My worry that there would not be shade turned out to be needless. Also in attendance were three food trucks: Bridge House, Fire Goddess Pizza, and Cousins Maine Lobster. The first two had vegetarian and vegan options, and Cousins Maine had red velvet whoopie pies in addition to various lobster filled things. I had a slice of cheese pizza from Fire Goddess Pizza and thought it was pretty good. I noticed they had vegan pizzas available, whole pie only. The whole pies were medium sized. I would probably come back here for a tasting or one of these concerts they do, if family or friends in the area wanted to join. The grounds and tasting room are beautiful. If you come for a show, come early for the shady grass spots and the good parking. It is not a reliable cell phone service area either, depending on who your carrier is. Yesterday (Friday) a group of us from my Camera Club went over Naggiar to do a photo shoot and wine tasting. Quite a few of people had never been to the winery, however, all of them were so glad we did this outing. Teena our wine server did an excellent job of describing the wines and answered all of their questions. Some did a regular tasting and some did the Reserve tasting. As I was the one who recommended the winery and outing, was really happy everyone enjoyed the wine tasting and the venue. Every one bought a couple bottles of wine and even one couple joined the wine club. I will be very honest, I am a wine club member and frequent the winery regularly during the music events in the summer. read more

We joined Naggier when we moved to Grass Valley this summer. We love taking our friends there to wine taste and enjoy the wine and the views. We have also had fun at the summer events. Nestled between beautiful rolling hills and endless golden fields is Naggiar Vineyards and Winery, one of my favorite wineries to visit, located North East of Sacramento, Napa, and the San Francisco/Bay Area. I was pleasantly surprised at what a hidden gem this winery was and how close it was to where I live. The drive here is beautiful and if you're lucky enough, you'll see some farm animals on the way in and/or out. First off, as you turn on ROSEMARY LANE, be sure to maintain a SPEED LIMIT OF 10MPH OR LESS to prevent a dust bowl from forming on your way in. It also helps keep your car a little less dusty as well! There is plenty of parking available and it's a short little walk up the driveway. Since there's a pandemic (COVID-19) going on, California wineries and tasting rooms are closed, so call ahead to make reservations and/or check if their outside patio is available. There is an open grass area that overlooks a pond and sometimes food trucks on the weekends. Before the guidelines, they had live concerts with local bands every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through the end of summer. It was always so much fun and can't wait until everything settles down again. The staff is very nice and always very helpful when it comes to carrying your cases of wine to your car. Members get 3 shipments per year and also get to enjoy free tastings. For non-members, I believe they charge $5 or $10/person, which is absolutely very reasonable! My favorite at the moment is the 2017 MAMA MIA! Love, love, love! It's a white wine that's a bit on the sweeter side, but very crisp and refreshing for these hot summer nights! For all the other wines, you definitely won't go wrong with any others as the owner of the winery prides himself on having the best wines in the Auburn area! Overall, you will not regret coming to this beautiful winery. Bring some snacks and have a picnic or hang out on the outside patio! We moved to Lake Wildwood four weeks ago from Livermore. We have spent many days wine tasting in Livermore, Sonoma and Napa. Had many concerns about Nevada County. After a few disappointing tastings including highly rated Yelp wineries we found Naggiar. These wines are extremely pleasing. Joined the wine club which we haven't done in years. If this was a new vineyard, still trying to figure things out, I would be more understanding. While it is a nice place with a beautiful view, the service and wine tasting was a huge disappointment for us and our friends that we brought out there. They have a special spout on their wine bottles that dribbles two times into a huge wine glass. There was barely enough wine in the glass to taste it quite honestly. And being given these three glasses for $15, I was shocked. We had three tastings, so that is a total of nine glasses with no tray, no board to put them on to tell us what they were, and no offer of assistance to get them out to the table on the patio. They did write a number on our glasses, however, I had to take the wine listing paperwork in order to refer to that number to the paper. Huge disappointment. Will never go back. read more

This winery has a nice setting and the wine was great. What wasn't so great is the way we were treated when we first approached the building. As we were approaching the building,some stressed out lady (I am assuming the owner by her self entitled actions) comes out of nowhere like a herding dog with a clip board. My guest and I got the same vibe that we were suspect and not to be trusted. We felt that she thought that we were trying to get by without paying $25 entry fee. We're long time club members and have always had a wonderful experience. We always get a bottle and enjoy a picnic by the pond/lake. Pours are very small. We also had to pay for the tastings as well as give a gratuity before service even started. How are you supposed to tip when you don't even know what kind of service you are going to get? We were with wine club members and usually servers ask if you want to revisit anything. Had an absolutely beautiful day here celebrating my mom's 60th birthday last weekend. Mary was wonderful to work with arranging an area with tables and chairs for the expected 30 to arrive. Sooo much space and fresh air to socialize with respects to social distancing. The wines are all absolutely devine. I came here with some friends for the food and wine pairing event that they have once a month and it was amazing! This winery is a bit of a drive out into the middle of nowhere but it is GORGEOUS! I felt like I was in a whole different world, not just 1.5 hours from Sacramento. The vineyard is on a hill and it was so picturesque! They have a small pond where you can bring a picnic and hang out, it was gorgeous like something out of a magazine. The food and wine pairing event was fabulous! The tickets are $45 and worth every penny. I thought it would just be small bites and wine samples but it was more like a high end dinner at a 4 star restaurant. The food was delicious! The first course was HUGE with cheese, fruit, nuts, and wine. The wine was probably a generous half glass pour. The entrees were small but after 5 courses, you are full and have had plenty of wine. The chef did a great job with the flavor pairings! Drinking the wine with the dishes was a revelation and made me think differently of ways to pair wine. The presenter was very informed about wine and personable. She was easy to listen to and I learned a lot. After the event, we opted to take the tour and I highly recommend this! We got to see the grounds and all the grapes. We got to taste grapes off the vine (even though it was the end of the season.) We learned all about different grapes and why they plant them in different areas. We got to see the GORGEOUS knoll where one day they'll have weddings. We got to go in the barrel room and learn about the aging process and we got to do a little barrel tasting. This was absolutely the best winery experience I've ever had! So my girlfriends and I decided to come here on a Monday. We were unaware that wine tastings are usually open during the weekends, and closed during the weekdays (the Vegas girl in me is showing). We were suggested to come here by a worker from our original (closed) destination. Luckily enough, this was a happy accident! We absolutely loved this place! The drive up there was very scenic, filled with trees and large open grasslands. Of course, being from a desert, this was like a breath of fresh air. We stopped to take pictures with the vineyard before heading into the winery, and boy were they Instagram worthy! haha. When we came in, we were greeted by a nice lady, who said we would be able to wine taste even though we did not schedule an appointment ahead of time (score!). We tasted 7 complemental wines total, one of them even being a reserve wine (double score!). Another kind lady took over named Jane, and she was absolutely phenomenal. Super friendly and very knowledgable. She told us more about their winery like their upcoming events, and said some pretty interesting facts about wine. She made us feel very comfortable and even went as far as letting us try 3 more wines (triple score!). Did I mention that Jane was phenomenal? Out of the wines we tasted, the Petit Sirah and Cabernet Franc were my favorite - both of them are red wines. If you like very dark berry flavors with a light smokiness, you should definitely try them! My friend bought two bottles of Cabernet Franc! Overall, this place is beautiful, with amazing customer service. It was everything I expect a wine tasting experience should be. Would definitely come back here again! read more

The owners Mike and Diane have done an excellent job making great wine but also created a fun and relaxing ambience. The rolling foothills countryside offers a picturesque backdrop to an awesome tasting room. The staff are friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. My wife and I really enjoy Naggiar Vineyard wines, venue and service. We just had another reminder of why we joined the wine club years ago and continue that relationship today. Well here's the new experience. We changed our email address last year and didn't get the updated address associated with our membership. Yesterday we noticed the quarterly club transaction on our bank account and realized - we hadn't received our wine shipment since the email change. So we called their wine club number. Mary picked up on the first ring and listened to our story. She said she would do some quick checking and call back. An hour, and 3 calls, later the whole situation was resolved including a plan to get us reunited with our 2 missed deliveries! My wife and I stopped by here on our way across the state. Excellent view. Great patio. Every wine in the tasting was delicious. Even more impressive was the service in light of some psychotic lady who, in her own words, was at her "fourth vineyard of the day." It was 2pm. She showed up, threw a Groupon paper on the bar and started asking a million questions. Got her first tasting, then started walking around looking at the jewelry. Out of nowhere, she started yelling at the lady providing the tasting. Saying it was horrible and it was her attitude. And demanding that she pour her husband's wine samples and walk them across the winery to a table to give him. Then, even with four other couples there for the wine tasting, she demanded that the lady behind the bar "just pour all the rest of our wine so we can drink it and get out of here!" The boss came down and tried to talk to her. She declared she would go on Yelp and give zero stars and wanted everyone's name so she could blast them on here. I hope when she sobers up she remembers and comes here, seeing this review so she can realize how horrible and disgusting she acted. read more

Third time visiting. The wines, staff, and grounds are still beautiful with lots of variety in varietals. Unfortunately, our lunch was less than wonderful because immediately after being served, they started setting up for an evening event all around us by moving tables and chairs with the accompanying noise. It would have been nice to know that BEFORE we went outside. So we went back into the tasting room and enjoyed the company of our tasting pourer, who's name I can't remember but was cashier 83 according to our receipt. One other thing, the flatbreads are fairly inedible as they are premade and tasted like cardboard. The arugula salad was great, as were all the dry wines we tasted. We especially like the Viognier and also purchased Root49 and Ill Nonna. read more

ill start by saying i liked this place, land and views were very nice, its the event that was annoying and felt really amateur. we attended the "dueling pianos" event 5/8/21. The musical talent was amazing...good on you guys. My problem is we paid $25/ a head ($100 for the 4 of us) and i'm not sure for what, I mean usually when you pay for an event at a winery they give you at least a glass of wine if not tastings...there was none of that, we got a table that is it. It made no sense, did the $25 a head go to the band? I dont get it, because the band was soliciting $20/song request (again band was awesome). also with having all the guests pre-pay i am assuming they had a head count of how many people were showing up, we got there at 6:15 and by 6:40 they were out of food, they had a food truck that had a good looking menu, but when i got my turn to order they told us their menu is done and they can fry up some chicken nuggets, so, we shared 6 costco chicken nuggets. we would have packed a picnic if we new they would not have enough food, plus the event said "no outside food because we are bringing in a vendor" there was probably 150-200 people there but enough food for maybe 75 people. This is the funny part, the band...bought everyone delivered pizza at the end of the night because i'm sure they felt embarrassed that the event ran out of food. Honestly we had a great time, but again it was the band, the winery did a piss pour (see what i did) job of putting on the event. recap: -$25 a head, no food/or glass of wine -didnt give head count to food vendor so there was nowhere near enough food -handed out menus to everyone, first page of menu was to order wine flights, I waited in line 5 minutes to have the woman tell me they are not serving flights today, so i got out of line had our party pick new orders, went back to wait in line to order again. we will probably skip this place in the future. but did i mention how fun the band was :) Dont blame covid...we've been in this thing for well over a year, this was an outdoor event plus its not like they had any restrictions going on at all besides workers in masks, so any mention of covid would just be a BS excuse. read more
