When he was excepted, he was taken in and immediately transitioning started. He was fighting for his life and could barley talk, couldn't feed himself or stand. This facility has done an *amazing* job keeping him safe during this time! I sing the praises of the nurses and care givers here. While many other facilities in the area became Covid "hotspots" only 1 patient living at this facility (as of current posting) contracted the virus! The fact that they have been able to contain the virus amongst the patients speaks volumes, especially several staff members had tested positive as well. My father loves all the people here at this facility. He has no complaints when we speak to him on the phone, and he enjoys teasing the caregivers. He receives physical therapy, orthopedic care, hair cuts, and regular doctor's visits. His conditions have stabilized since getting the 24/7 care here. My only complaint would be that it is sometimes difficult to receive returned phone calls, part of this is because they are incredibly busy and, as most nursing homes are - understaffed. They also have recently had a turn around in staff, so I'm sure that attributes to the communication issues as well. Overall I highly recommend Twin Oaks. I do not have to worry about my father's care, as he is in good hands.

Back in June of 2010 when I graduated high school, I started experiencing some back pain. Fortunately, a family friend recommended this place to my mom and since my first visit, this is my go-to establishment for chiropractic services. In fact, I've lived in SoCal since August 2012 and have found myself being drawn back to AHWC after trying out new places near me that weren't operating at a similar or better level of service. During my visit in town, I woke up with severe pain in my lower and upper back that was painful enough to slow me down while getting up from my bed. Based on my experiences at AHWC, it's been busy every time I've gone in (4 out or the 5 weekdays they're open). I called the office and lucky enough, they were able to fit me in with how busy they usually are. I later learned that they set aside time every day for both emergencies and new patients, trying to fit them in the same day they call for an emergency or initial appointment. As I walked in, the receptionist was obviously swamped with helping the people who came in before me and answering the numerous phone calls; yet, she was able to assist me in a timely manner without any sign of frustration like I've experienced at other medical service places. Additionally, I assumed I wouldn't be helped for some time but I only waited for about 15 minutes after checking in. I've gotten x-rays done and have been prescribed "spinal corrective care" (fancy lingo for care that helps with repositioning your spine) in the past, especially by other chiropractors. What I appreciate the most out of AHWC is that even though they may be busy and there's a line of patients to be taken care of, they always take the time to explain terms or procedures I'm not familiar with as well as give me some take-home exercises that help those problematic areas through stretching. Overall, my experience at Agape has been fantastic every time I've visited! My only concern is how busy it can get, but in my opinion, that's just a testament to how many people are seeking out their services and even more of an incentive to schedule an appointment with them ASAP. If you're looking for a top-notch establishment that provides both incredible customers and health services, this is the place!

In large ways and small, the staff at Sierra Valley Rehab communicated care. From gentle explanations (I'm going to help you turn onto your side now, Bobbie) to tender greetings (How are you feeling this afternoon, Miss Bobbie?), staff conveyed respect and personal care. Our family was fortunate to be at Mom's side throughout her illness. Sierra Valley Rehab accommodated our desire to share her days as much as possible, ensuring everyone's comfort and accessibility. Dawn, the Intake manager, was clear and concerned when discussing Mom's needs. She would respond to any phone call, letting us know when she would be available or stopping by Mom's room to answer any question. Cynthia was Mom's primary Charge Nurse, and we could not ask for a better advocate for Mom's care. Cynthia was always aware of Mom's diagnosis, any changes in her needs, and was consistent in reflecting on adjustments to Mom's medications. She would synthesize and extrapolate, offering insight and advice whenever our family felt uncertain of Mom's needs. But perhaps most importantly, Cynthia conveyed a tenderness, a gentle strength, and an absolute understanding of what Mom was experiencing day-to-day and what her children, her family, were experiencing as her health weakened. By the time Mom's health was clearly deteriorating, we offered to take her home, to return her to her house. She didn't want to move. She told us she felt safe at Sierra Valley Rehab, adding that the staff anticipated her needs and offered an extra helping hand whenever needed.
