Late post -- Reno Orthopedic Surgery Center…read more Let's be honest--no one wants to spend time at a surgical center. But when you're greeted by familiar, friendly faces each visit, it truly makes the experience feel far less intimidating. I've been here a few times now, and it really hit me how many incredible nurses I've encountered but never properly acknowledged. In the moment, you're focused on the procedure--but it's the people who leave the lasting impression. A heartfelt thank you to Kenya and Jenn for taking such great care of me during both pre-op and recovery. Their calm, attentive approach immediately put me at ease. And to the entire OR team--about 5-6 nurses whose names I didn't have the chance to catch--your professionalism and seamless teamwork did not go unnoticed. Of course, I'm also incredibly grateful to my orthopedic foot and ankle surgeon, Dr. Lundeen, along with Alex Ernst, MD, and Lindsey Whitlock, CFA. Having a team you trust makes all the difference, and I truly felt I was in the best hands. And a very special shoutout to Jen B--my "IV queen." At this point, she recognizes me not just by name, but by face--and that level of familiarity brings instant comfort. She is truly one and done every single time, and I can't thank her enough. To Jen B and all of the amazing nurses here--your compassion, patience, and dedication don't just make a difference... they define the entire experience. Highly recommend this team if you're ever in need of their services. Grateful beyond words.

Both the pre-op nurse Savannah and post-op nurse Ashley were so kind, calming, and incredibly comforting. They truly made a difference in helping us feel at ease during the entire process; especially for my daughter. I've been to surgery centers before, and have had good experiences and marginal experiences. This was a great experience!! I think this place is smaller than most, and it does a variety of surgeries, not a single proceedure for everyone. Not sure, but possibly this is why the staff seems interested and engaged. Check in was great, although they did have me down for a few allergies that I don't have. The friendly front desk ladies got it fixed quickly. I waited briefly in the first calming area. Esper took me to the prep area, she has a really nice, caring sister vibe. The nurse, I can't remember her name, was great also. Explained everything perfectly and got the IV in expertly, on the first try! The anesthesiologist-can't remember her name either, was so nice! She listened carefully to my concerns, regarding issues I've had in the past, and seemed genuinely interested. And mentioned some possible reasons for past experiences. She and the rest of the team, didn't seem to be in a hurry or in a scheduling rush, it was like I was their only patient, and my comfort was a main concern. At other places I've felt like I was just one of the herd waiting to be tagged and loaded onto a conveyer belt. Thank you so much for making this a better experience! The only downside, is that you are only seperated from other patients by a curtain-the usual set up. I kind of felt bad knowing that other patients could hear the scary things I was relating, to the anesthesiologist, not wanting them to be scared, as some were first timers, I heard.

Amazing, totally amazing…read more I had written to my primary care doctor through MyChart to request a referral to see a pain specialist. I had an appointment with him scheduled in a week, and he replied that we could discuss it then. No urgency, no help in the moment. In the meantime, I tried calling a pain management office within his own network (Carson Tahoe Health), hoping to bypass the referral. Unsurprisingly, they said no. I was in a lot of pain, frustrated, and feeling hopeless, until God sent me an angel. Someone told me about Dr. Nairzi and his walk-in urgent care orthopedic clinic in Reno (United Pain Urgent Care). I drove there, arriving at 5 PM. Within just over an hour, I was evaluated and treated with facet joint injections at C2-C3. For the first time in years, I was pain-free. I don't know yet if this will be a permanent fix, but the fact that I could walk in and be treated the same day with no referral was absolutely life changing. I now have a follow up appointment at his main clinic to explore longer term treatment options in case the injections wear off. This is how healthcare should work. Not delayed by bureaucracy or driven by profit, but centered on compassion, urgency, and the patient. God Bless Dr. Nairzi and his incredible staff for their vision, care, and for being the kind of doctor we so desperately need more of in this broken system.
